I am not since the last time they made a decent non spinoff single player FF was over 15 years ago with 12Im actually hyped for 16, but it is very annoying how they dont promote anything else new till it releases.
And only 15 (under the previous two FF entries, but 13 and 14 were reworked) only took 10 years to develop and is good at the endless driving scene.I am not since the last time they made a decent non spinoff single player FF was over 15 years ago with 12
They got everybody from 12, tactics and vagrant story working on this.I am not since the last time they made a decent non spinoff single player FF was over 15 years ago with 12
I did not know that, well I guess I'll wait to see what the game is like then out of curiosityThey got everybody from 12, tactics and vagrant story working on this.
And the Devil May Cry dude for combat director. The biggest hurdle is accepting FF is an action game with some rpg mechanics on top now.I did not know that, well I guess I'll wait to see what the game is like then out of curiosity
Alot of the JC2 leads left to form their own studio anyway. As long as it keeps the company afloat
as far as I can tell Yasumi Matsuno has nothing to do with FF16They got everybody from 12, tactics and vagrant story working on this.
And even they don't want to put up with this shitAlot of the JC2 leads left to form their own studio anyway.
"Ohhhh... We don't do that here, sorry. However, if you purchase some of our discounted games like Symbiogenesis or Balan Wonderworld for a limited time, we'll sign you up for a subscription in which we send you 5 USB sticks filled with NFTs per month. I'll have to warn you though. You can't cancel it and there's a rare chance that some of these thumb drives we send you might contain illegal images."but how many nfts can i expect to buy for the game?
Lower than expected? Kind of surprised, it looks legitimately good. Or is it one of those "IT DOESN'T HAVE 10 BILLION PREORDERS, IT'S FAILURE!" scenarios.I've heard rumors that Squeenix is panicking with the pre-order numbers of FFXVI.
IT ALL COMES TUMBLING DOWNI've heard rumors that Squeenix is panicking with the pre-order numbers of FFXVI.
I’ll bet that’s true, because Square’s been notorious about whining that games didn’t meet expectations when they sold about as much as anyone would expect. I sincerely doubt FF16 is getting people to run out and buy PS5s. Consoles could sell to people who wanted to play one game back when they were even as high as $300, but $500 seems a step too far.Lower than expected? Kind of surprised, it looks legitimately good. Well that, or the cost of putting your game in a console with minimal install base that has no games.
Now it's a real issue because they can't put the blame on the western studios anymore.Lower than expected? Kind of surprised, it looks legitimately good. Or is it one of those "IT DOESN'T HAVE 10 BILLION PREORDERS, IT'S FAILURE!" scenarios.
Just giant companies around the world in general. Now it's a real issue because they can't put the blame on the western studios anymore.
I agree. They call it an exclusive, but it's really just a staggered launch. With PS5 leading, it is just not going to bring people to the console, and the new game hype has worn off by the time it makes it to Steam (even worse if Epic store is in between). Same thing if it were to end up on Xbox. It also doesn't help that they gave up on collector's editions for a platform like Steam (in part I assume because of EGS fracturing the platform).I’ll bet that’s true, because Square’s been notorious about whining that games didn’t meet expectations when they sold about as much as anyone would expect. Since its Squeenix, it very well could be that the company set their expectations too high, but my guess is that it has more to do with the timed exclusivity. That just doesn't make sense in this day and age for a third party company. For third parties, you want to maximize your return on investment as quickly as possible. Exclusivity to one platform, even for a few months, doesn't make a lick of practical sense, especially since the PS5 is not the market leader (the Switch is) and it barely sells in Japan, which is where Final Fantasy tends to do its best numbers outside of America.Lower than expected? Kind of surprised, it looks legitimately good. Or is it one of those "IT DOESN'T HAVE 10 BILLION PREORDERS, IT'S FAILURE!" scenarios.

I can think of three immediate reasons.Lower than expected? Kind of surprised, it looks legitimately good. Or is it one of those "IT DOESN'T HAVE 10 BILLION PREORDERS, IT'S FAILURE!" scenarios.
