Megathread Jesse Singal Derangement Syndrome - jsingal69 vs TroonWorld

Freddie frustrates me. He has banned all trans discussion on his Substack because…his commenters/subscribers aren’t pro-trans enough for him. Rather than losing readers by banning or engaging and maybe thinking a little differently or just tolerating deviation from his views, the topic is completely verboten. I stopped paying for his Sub because of it.

ETA: I am Freddie, I just realized.

I think it's just because he can't answer how all his other criticisms don't apply to it. It's the same reason he has always, for over a decade, refused to explain how he's still a Marxist when he disagrees with basically all of its tenets. (Yes, every so often he writes a "why I'm still a Marxist" article but never includes any Marxism in it.)
Freddie’s young niece is an FTM. I believe that is coloring his judgment on this issue.

The Nib, which is apparently a site for political cartoons, published a comic about Jesse:

It's pretty cool the way that a cartoon originally created by a troon to mock conservative cartoons applies perfectly basically every left or Liberal cartoon I've seen in the last decade.

Most of the discussion arose naturally when he wrote his article on TikTok creating a bunch of DID fakers. En masse, his comment section was like, "Wait a minute ... this sounds familiar," and he freaked out. In his mind, his comments section was getting brigaded/hijacked by people who only care about trans issues and couldn't have a good discussion about it, instead of people organically making a connection about Sudden Onset Self-Diagnoses. He's totally blinkered about it.

I thought he banned it because he got tired of pro-trans activists constantly asking him why he wasn't talking more about it and bringing it into every single discussion he did?

Nope. The opposite….or inverse maybe. His readers are too gender critical for his liking. The link below is the follow-up to the initial announcement but you’ll get the idea.

Heavier hand

The trannies seem to have laid off of Jesse, probably because of his absence from Twitter. These warped facsimiles of real women are so hooked on social media that they instantly forget enemies who drop out.

It's funny that he's been to at least two social gatherings where the first thing people ask him is "is Katie here, too?" It must suck to be the more financially successful of the two but far less cool or interesting, even less than their furry employee.

It was inevitable, the guy is addicted to bloodsports but Reddit and Substack communities are too locked down for him.
His podcast sub is slightly locked down, comments limited to members, though it's still super active. The funny thing is that the members are turning against him a little (in the "we're not mad, just disappointed" way you'd expect from centrists). They feel like him being off Twitter made him lazy at doing proper diligence on the stories they cover, like the viral e-bike lady story.

The Tucker Carlson episode was especially bad, although I don't remember if that was before or after he left Twitter. It's frustrating to a lot of his fans how he has covered tranny disinformation so extensively and knows for a fact that journos will tell blatant lies to help out their tranny friends, but when it comes to other subjects he becomes totally credulous and gives these same liars the benefit of the doubt. He's always been like that, though, it's got nothing to do with Twitter.

The sub itself has to be mild-mannered and civil because most of the people there are terfs and know that a sub which isn't fully on board with transgenderism is at risk of being shut down by the admins.

When Jesse latches onto a topic and is good about it you can easily forget that he's really a true believer and his "crusade" is against bad apples undermining the greater project. That's what makes the treatment he receives so much funnier, all these lunatics are so used to acting in bad faith all the time they can't handle it when someone actually is operating in good faith and there's no hidden rhetorical agenda they can try to uncover and expose so people will shut their ears.

I don't think Jesse realizes that the greater "progressive" project is premised on their claims of expertise, hence why they should be allowed to force all of society to fit and fulfill their preferences, and Jesse is accurately perceived as undermining that by attacking their credibility even though no one can articulate it in that way because they're stupid, narcissistic and believe their positions are inherently and self-obviously correct because they hold them. (Not to be confused with my positions which I hold because they are inherently and self-obviously correct.)

He has this on anything he hasn't personally investigated:
Michael Crichton said:
Briefly stated, the Gell-Mann Amnesia effect is as follows. You open the newspaper to an article on some subject you know well. In Murray's case, physics. In mine, show business. You read the article and see the journalist has absolutely no understanding of either the facts or the issues. Often, the article is so wrong it actually presents the story backward—reversing cause and effect. I call these the "wet streets cause rain" stories. Paper's full of them.

In any case, you read with exasperation or amusement the multiple errors in a story, and then turn the page to national or international affairs, and read as if the rest of the newspaper was somehow more accurate about Palestine than the baloney you just read. You turn the page, and forget what you know.

I like the creative lingo they have for trans discussions. "Trains" "Derailers" "Locomotive ideology"

Whenever Jesse talks about something besides trannies I instantly develop Jesse Singal Derangement Syndrome.

Ana Kasparian of TYT said she doesn’t think Jesse is transphobic, troons are outraged
