Russian Special Military Operation in the Ukraine - Mark IV: The Partitioning of Discussion

Mmm, that might not be half a bad idea to go after the officers. Might make them think twice on ordering some things.

Foreign forces and regular infantry need to be treated decently when captured. The more infantry you treat justly the more incentive you give them to surrender. Frankly im surprised I haven't heard of them setting up someone as a mouth piece to talk to the Ukrainians and ask them to give up like tokyo rose. It's worth a shot to plant some measure of doubt in their minds.

As for the mercenary's and NATO I figure you can get some kind of blackmail and or embarrassment out of confirming their existence. plus prisoner exchanges.
You're probably right as far as that goes, I was basically in a pissed off mood when I wrote that. Certainly on the officers, I think there needs to be some punishments for them. I think it might not be a bad idea to let enlisted EPWs bring criminal charges against captured officers. I'm sure a fair number of captured officers have ordered executions for conscripts who attempted to flee and in most contexts, that's little more than cold blooded murder. That might actually encourage some conscript units to mass surrender if their command is bad enough.

You don't even need to look it up, they just straight-up posted that shit on Twitter

The overall Mujahideen were NOT the Taliban. The Mujahideen devolved into dozens of warlord factions after 1992 who were then mostly defeated by the Taliban by 1996. Amusingly, Mullah Omar actually didn't do any fighting from 1992-1994 until a woman came to him in a dream to allegedly end the chaos, and he did with his Taliban from his madrass.

The biggest warlord that wasn't defeated was Ahmad Shah Massoud,
who Al Qaeda assassinated the day before 9/11 (note that the planned date was fluid) as an attempt to curry favor to the Taliban and as a way to get rid of a pro Western fighter who could potentially threaten Al Qaeda activities in Afghanistan.

Anyway, maybe the same will happen in Russia if they have a Wagner vs Shoigu civil war.

What the fuck is even going on, holy shit, is Russia going to coup itself or is this 6D Propaganda from the Kremlin, I don't even fucking know.
Theories so far:
- Some kind of cover for an antiterrorist operation
- Prigozhin trying a Mussolini style March on Rome
- NATO finally hired Wagner
- Prigozhin has lost his fucking mind

We will need to be patient until the information becomes clearer. Currently several russian military institutions, officials, commanders etc. are sceraming at each other about a "rebellion" started by Prigozhin.

No matter what this is probably endgame. If it's real the Russian millitary force has just imploded. If it's fake it's to draw the remainder of Ukraine forces so they can be decisively annihilated and Kiev gets occupied and forced to surrender at gunpoint.
"All warfare is based on deception. Therefore, when capable, feign incapacity; when active, inactivity. When near, make it appear that you are far away; when far away, that you are near. Offer the enemy a bait to lure him; feign disorder and strike him."

Putin's mustache says Putin has been informed, but does not elaborate. Enforcers in Moscow have been put on alert. General Surovikin called on the Wagner troops to desist. No actual movements from Prigozhin's troops were observed so far. The current whereabouts of the man himself are unknown.

If this is an insurgency, it sure is a weird one. Loudly telegraphed before it shat itself and did nothing, at least in the first, most crucial hours.

I warned you about Wagniggers.
"Curse your sudden yet inevitable betrayal!" Who could have known that an ambitious oligarch with a private army and a short fuse is a dubious asset, amirite?

Anyway, the Russian Ministry of Defense is reporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine are amassing troops in the Bakhmut direction "to take advantage of Prigozhin's provocation". This leaves us with 4 possible secnarios.

1. The AFU fell for 6D underwater chess maneuver hook, line and sinker.
2. The AFU are actually taking advantage of the insurgency.
3. Prigozhin and the AFU have teamed up after a round of earlier negotiations.
4. The Russian Ministry of Defense is trying to discredit Prigozhin further and the AFU is not actually doing anything.

Place your bets.

I'm going with 1.

Now I'm just some dumbass on the internet, but this reeks of "ah fucking shit the Ukies are going to get the glowniggers to blow up Zaporizhzhia, we need to pull a rabbit out of our ass and end this fucking war already".

I can't imagine that a guy like the head of a successful PMC just loudly stating he's going to march on the capitol of the country he and his men have been fighting for the past two years if he was going to do something like this, just seems too blunt and frankly retarded. If he was going to pull some shit like that I'd have figured he would've done it in a smarter manner.

... Could Russia have unmanned drones that they can slowly put in position and park until they hear a coded message blasted through the sea that triggers them to rise and launch missiles at predetermined positions?
No such system has been announced, ergo no such system exists.
A nuclear deterrent is announced to the enemy quite deliberately. This is its purpose, after all. A secret nuclear deterrent is no deterrent at, it's just useless, spiteful revenge.

Nuclear ballistic submarines are announced and demonstrated to the enemy, in a sort of "nuke us and we'll take out your coastal cities in retaliation, launching from too close for you to intercept" statement. The enemy knowing that we have this capability turns a useless Vergeltungswaffe into a potent deterrent. If we don't tell him we can do this, he may assume he can attack us without fear of retribution. Peace between superpowers is counterintuitively contingent on their ability to utterly annihilate each other in retribution, it's an old concept ("MAD"). Grim, but by necessity the weapons involved are quite transparent.

No one threats a man who has shit himself as a threat, and therefore, is that not the height of deception?

I'm just memeing, I'm not sure about the situation either way.

It makes sense now that you put it that way. If you intend to stage a military coup, you wouldn't announce it publicly. The guy also has a long history of making outlandish statements with the intent of baiting the Ukes. This is yet another case where we'll have to wait and see what happens next.

Oh man I'm fucking salivating at the notion that this could end up being an even greater clusterfuck of a war than previously imagined. This war has been pretty lame compared to the insane shit we got out of Syria during the ISIS times. I don't want it to just double down, I want a tripling down with Azov attempting a coup at the same time like its fucking LOGH. Bump this shit up to 4 or 5 different wars in one, we need some real chaos.
