Not Just Bikes / r/fuckcars / Urbanists / New Urbanism / Car-Free / Anti-Car - People and grifters who hate personal transport, freedom, cars, roads, suburbs, and are obsessed with city planning and urban design

They don't know even know Democrat constituents work anyway. Got news for you: most Democrats drive, and the biggest highways and largest highway funds go toward the Democrat-run cities anyway. When mass transit comes to a vote, it usually reflects what people already use and what people are willing to pay (so it's the rich who don't care + poor people + retards who think choo-choo is good vs. everyone else), including suburbanites who get no services but have to pay into the system anyway...yet these rational thinking patterns become "voting against their interests!" and "muh oil industry!".
On some level I think they're sort of aware their ideas are impalpable to the average normie. So they realize that their best chance at implementing the change they want is to grab power by any means necessary and slip it past as fast as possible against the will of the public before they can react.

There's one common thread between the lower class redneck and hoodrat is if you ask them if they would like to trade in their pickup truck/Dodge Charger to ride a bicycle or take the bus, their answer would probably be to fuck off.

Like many other urbanist contradictions, they mean they get to be the ones tarding out on their Switch while the plebs have to cram together like sardines. From the OP, here's Jason Slaughter traveling on a first class train:

The funny thing about Jason bitching about Hasan buying a Porsche is that this is just leftists infighting with each other, except it's just the urbanist grifter vs the garden variety grifter. In all likelihood Hasan probably didn't even read Jason's message. Even within leftist circles Jason and his group are insignificant in comparison to the mainstream grifters that seem to just be after mansions and cars. It seems like the urbanists are a special type of autistic.

Being a proud urbanist is literally stitching on the puzzle piece to your shirt. Even the lefties know that. And they know its damaging to the cause. It literally proves the "Live in the pod, eat ze bugs" meme right. Not only do they get left on read, but they will never be invited into the inner circles. The autism is too strong and interferes with the leftist socialist grift.

I mean I wouldn't say they're completely out of the inner circles. NJB and CityNerd both have the (dubious) honour of getting on Nebula.tv, the paid content platform ran by Wendover and Dave Wiskus that also hosts such True & Honourable people as PhilosophyTube, Lindsay Ellis and Anita Sarkeesian. I bet Road Guy Rob would never be able to get on Nebula since he wouldn't be sufficiently accepted by Dave Wiskus.

I do agree the whole urbanism thing is a bit off putting though. How much do socialist leftists really believe in it and seriously want to go car-free? Doesn't seem like much.

Nebula mostly reminds me of the science channel honestly, where i go to learn history and military shit and Hitler's Antarctic base; even then, they are still in a box. I cannot see a serious lefty channel actually having them on, not one that's mainstream with even two braincells to rub together; they are cancer.

The "bicycle menace" furfag that's been posted in this thread a few times now lost his camera near an intersection in Chicago.
He lost it while at a pride parade, so most likely one of his fellow troons took it:

Urbanists are hopelessly naive about what actually happens in cities. It sounds like he wasn't watching his shit and it got yoinked the moment he walked away.
Half a year of photos? Did he not copy them off the camera at the end of every day? Are people really this fucking stupid... never mind.

I was in Atlanta a few years back and saw some woman with a camera with the original neck strap "CANON" in big letters and seemed to be taking no precautions. Don't know if she got enriched but I wouldn't have been surprised.

Last time I took a camera out in public I blacked out all the logos that you could identify as "expensive" simple neck strap, small bag, etc.

"never gonna see that again because the police are so incompetent".

The police officer was brutally honest. In a city where people get shot up every weekend, they can't be bothered to find a camera for some freak show who hates police officers to begin with.
The thing I didn't really understand for my first rant was that he actually sat a bag down and took his eyes off it. Who the ever loving fuck does that. I had the pleasure of traveling in high school and if I had a bag with me it was never, ever, ever out of my sight, it was only set down if I was sitting next to it. I came from a small town and even I knew that was something you never do.

I was returning a rental car a few months back in a city(tm) and overheard a family nearby who had left stuff in their rental car and their stuff got stolen. No way, that never happens.

To relate this back to the thread... maybe this is why more people don't use transit, it's exhausting watching your stuff, everyone else around you and trying to figure out which one is about to do something stupid.

I mean, not really. Paying attention and being aware of your surroundings at all times instead of dozing off and tarding out on your Nintendo Switch is something I can easily do. After all, I have to do it when I'm driving.

...Oh, right.

/r/fuckcars loves this cargo "bike" that is driven by an electric motor and is as large as a pickup truck:

I see the definition of "bicycle" is expanding again - in direct proportion to the average redditor's waistline.

Eh, what does he think they should be optimised for? Load-bearing?

After moving to a high trust country it still amazes me that I can forget something and come back hours later and it's still there. People regularly leave their laptops on tables in coffee shops while they go get their order or go to the bathroom.

Found this older video of some people enriching the NY subway lol: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AVxvBzB9jMw

I'm certain this is somehow a car's fault.
The usual argument is something like "cars cause poverty" or something. But there was no reasonable benefit to the guy throwing it on the tracks, that's just him being a complete menace to society.

Well, I don't know, my friend. At the start of the video he shows us some cheap shitbox bike without a gearshift and tells us that's a good, reliable "utility" bike. So I'd assume he wants us to optimize for cost.

Trouble with that is that cheap things usually arent nice; and nice things usually arent cheap

Mild pl: as someone who's ridden a bike with a (simple) gearshift (think just 5 at the back, and one at the front) before, the gearshift is a fucking lifesaver when you encounter slopes. I suppose if you stuck to using a middle-size gear exclusively it'd be pretty serviceable for general use; and this single gear shitbox could have a similar gearing to that; but I'd still pick a bike with a gearshift over that, lol.

gearshifts are the fucking bomb

do you need three on the front hub and fifty billion on the rear? probably not!

but those three on the front really make all the difference.

Idiot doesn't think of backing up the pictures on his jumbo PC he uses to play VR chat we all know he has or even just make multiple cold storage copies- seriously, USB 3.1/2 flash drives with 200-400mb transfer speeds are fucking cheap for what they are and often go on sale-, and even now, when he rents a Chrysler Pacifica, he bows down to the mob and says " oh yes, I'm going to leave the safety of my car and use the trains". His fursona should be a cow, because this troon is cattle.

Bet he doesn't even carry a gun, not a 38 special or 380 auto, of which at this point they have 15 rounders now for a light shooting pepper box. Probably for the best, troons in general and all that, but for the average urbanist, why they don't own at least a 6/ 7 shot 380 auto, will never cease to amaze.

"I want to relax on mass transit, look out the window, and tard around on my Nintendo Switch",
They also believe that safety is when their are more people paying attention (AKA "Eyes on the Street":
Jacobs refers to the concept of “eyes on the street” which is the activity taking place in city streets that keeps the movement and security of the street intact. She suggests that where there is a crowd of people, our streets are safer to use because if someone is in trouble the eyes on the street are ready to assist and protect from danger.

P.S. This idea was proposed in the mid 1960s before the crack cocaine epidemic and the extraordinarily high murder rate in the mid 1980s to mid 1990s.
Eyes on the street in reality.

Some more Eyes On The Street.

Another example of Eyes on the Street

Eyes on the Street is a massive cope to the crime and safety issues in major cities and on mass transit systems.

First, all it takes are certain circumstances and a person calling police on a mentally ill person harassing other passengers can result in claims of abusing 911 or being racist.

Second, the NJB and FuckCars type would rarely if ever intervene in such a situation. Calling the police could be perceived as racist and "signing the death warrant" for a poor Black crazy man while personally intervening could result in physical injury or criminal charges (if the melenation is right).

As such, when faced with this cognitive dissonance and helplessness they just retreat into there cell phones or games.

Pretend I don't notice! If I just block it out, I won't have to question if I am a coward or not!

The condition of those seats looks pretty run-down (bodies rubbing up against them rubs off the outer coating/discolors them) for a "first class" experience.
Fuck that noise.

If more people on trains is better then I welcome Jason to live in India for a couple years and take the unreserved class during rush hour.

I find it really suspicious that Jason chooses high majority White countries.
