A puzzling clip has been uploaded by Elissa.
A super chatter asked Nick about his relationship with Legal Bytes and Faran. Nick gives the party line about having no problems with LB.
He then gives a very curious response with respect to Faran, saying that their interactions have been cordial, but that he doesn't know, saying that he's "found out lately that I've pissed off so many people by doing things that don't have any impact on them".
Rekieta doesn't get it, so let me explain a little bit.
Let's say you're a streamer. When people perform unpaid labor by coming on your show, they are extracting benefits from being associated with you and hoping your fans check their content out as well.
When you utterly beclown yourself both on your show and in your personal life (which you choose to be open about with the public), and when you implicitly insult your audience (or explicitly, as in that last Friday trainwreck back in May) for not wanting to watch the content you want to create, you aren't just doing a disservice to yourself or your audience, you're doing a disservice to the people who associate with you. It does in fact have a impact on them.
Now all that time building ties to you looks like a negative instead of a positive. Nick should really know this because the exact same thing happened with him and Ralph except Nick's position was reversed where people were calling
him out for guntguarding for a long time.
This is why Ralph's show now consists of "commentary" over CNN streams:
Nick is kinda in the position Ralph was in, in 2020. He keeps acting crazy and beefing with randos which in turn makes fewer people want to come on his show. Nick then builds resentment towards that person even though it's his own fault for creating the environment. As you may remember a big part of Ralph's resentment towards Metokur was that Jim stopped coming on.
Which, by the way, was kind of what happened between Ralph and Rekieta: it wasn't just the fact that Nick laughed at something from Ralph's 24 hour stream that set Ralph off; If I recall what happened correctly, Nick declined the invite to appear sometime during that stream then later laughed at it, which I think was what caused the resentment.
What does this mean? I've heard rumors that his ticket got upgraded to a misdemeanor.
Basically what happened was an equivalent of defaulting in a civil case. Rekieta missed his opportunity to contest the ticket and a plea of guilty has been entered on his behalf. Right now there's no further action beyond a financial penalty that Rekieta wouldn't have had to pay if he paid the ticket within 2 months of getting it. However, the letter he was sent warns that further actions might be possible if he still doesn't pay, including the suspension of his license or the towing of his Mustang.
The speeding ticket does appear in the case records as "petty misdemeanor", but that is MN-speak for "traffic ticket": it doesn't constitute a criminal offense.
