VTubers are complex entities being part corporate, a false persona, and human being. This complexity brings instability and mixed messaging, like requiring immense amounts of artifice and privacy so some can say VTubing allows them to "be themselves". While the instability is interesting in itself (to me at least), I have found observing competency to be even moreso. When operating in tandem, the result is a very effective product/experience.
The person behind Pippa may have "true" feelings, but (strictly speaking) Pippa does not. Nick intentionally conflating the two while blaming the corporate aspect is only adding to the aforementioned instability.

Nick knows this "lore" video is mostly a joke right? I wish I could find the clips but you can pretty much find any of Phase's talent endorsing Sakana because he tolerates things in a much more reasonable way and he won't hesitate to go to bat for talent. He's probably not exactly keen on having random bullshit foisted on him but being the "bad guy" is his job for them. I've never heard anything about Phase's terms being bad before now, ramping up a campaign against them is more likely to strengthen their bond than weaken it.

Management can be limiting when it stifles talent. Considering we can see the abject lack of talent sans-management, I'm not sure what Nick would be concerned about. Sure management probably warned Pippa to stay away, but they do that because they are the first-line dealing with any blowback. Which segues nicely into:

So if you think about it logically, Rumble is likely "sandwiching" their acquisitions with renewals. Get the people with prioritized renewals signed first, then you know how much budget you have to throw around on new contracts. If a surplus exists, less-important renewals get the scraps. I think it's apparent Nick belongs to the latter group. We've already seen that they are signing new talent.
Nick demanded independence and really failed to deliver. Being open to changes and not pushing the status quo would probably make a renewal possible. His little crusade against Phase looks a lot more like he is projecting his gripes with Rumble onto them. We already know Nick himself isn't satisfied with his current performance. How could Rumble be happy when they only get a piece of what Nick makes? Considering his attitude, would you think he was sincere even if he agreed to the desired changes? It's more likely to be something he does the bare minimum until he snaps and then goes extra-antagonistic over it.
If I were in charge of negotiations I'd be ignoring these grumblings for as long as possible. If it expires, you have the liability gone and it's self-evident why it happened. If he sees the writing on the wall, his pride will probably keep him from getting desperate until the 11th hour. He'd have no ready alternatives if he comes to the negotiating table. Even if it is a ticking time bomb it could be worth it at a 50-75% discount.

Ok, small power level. My grandparents are probably considered upper middle class, but both sides firmly believed in letting their children figure their own way in the world while helping out here and there. As such, I grew up below the poverty level for most of my life. I don't know if it's common elsewhere, but in my experience, it's not unheard of that when the child leaves the parents house, they're expected to fend for themselves. However, if both parents are working, and Nick's the only child, they are not poor and he likely ate microwave meals by choice of the parents rather than out of necessity.

Well we now know who Divinity is in the thread @CuntFucker2077. Watching the comments on Divinity's Megan's demonetization video from YT. Comments are telling, in particular one from what looks like Art The Clown, or an Art The Clown Type. This was posted the day Megan's video came out. A day later, @CuntFucker2077 posts "Faran leaked audio" which IMO sounds edited to manipulate, but either way it is all hearsay at this point. You can read my thoughts on the audio. But let this be a warning to anyone that Divinity clearly records conversations which depending on state (her's being California) is illegal.
- The video was made less than 36 hours after Megan's video where her comments of "debunking the lie" appears
- The video starts out a screen that reads, "The following is leaked audio of Faran planting another rumor seed within a community. It is provided by an anonymous source."
- How do we know this is Faran spreading the rumor? Faran has been gone from the internet since March?
- Faran is telling a story told to her by someone. We don't know if it is said person who went on a date with Kurt or if it was Divinity.
- You also do not hear Kurt's name mentioned throughout the dating story. Kurt's name only comes in when she talks about his personality, which makes you wonder is the date story actually about Kurt or someone else?
- Is this audio leaked for Divinity to get out in front of the rumor and blame someone else rather than herself? It makes you wonder why Divinity records and saves every conversation, which in her state of California (where Divinity says she lives) is illegal.
The account who posted the leaked audio @cuntfucker was created June 29, 2022 and has only posted 2 things and both are about Faran. Interesting.
Other comments on the video are interesting. Faran had her dissenters, but it appears that many came out in support of Megan, particularly because she went after school boards trying to indoctrinate trans/sex stuff. There is plenty of fighting in the comment section compared to other Divinity videos where you don't see much of that. Even in Faran videos there's not a lot of fighting. @Spaded Dave in a prior post recollected a number of enemies Divinity has created.
Then there is this comment threatening of "doxxing" Divinity.

This is just not true. His father was a software engineer at Cray Research. That was a very well paying job. He grew up in Lakeville MN which was a cliche upper middle class "safe" "new" suburb at the time.

I always had to fight to get the shaped ones. These days i always use boxed pasta and throw out the trash they include. You can never properly cook the noodles they include.
