I can say from being friends with a former GameStop manager, the company did know Camelot by name, but some of the claims against them out there are true but often times its overblown. Cody's videos sometimes dipped into shallow complaints for clicks with no substance to them.

I'm reminded of his video complaining about game stops selling hand sanitizer to stay open during covid. It was a pathetic angle for what was an overblown virus and Cody was banking off outrage at the time from covid acoloytes that every business should just close forever indefinitely because the MSM said so. Videos like that have aged pretty poorly.

I don't know much about Game Stop, but I feel like a lot of what they're hated for is overblown in general. Yes, they have shitty trade in policies, but that's going to be true for a lot of places that offer trade ins, whether that's pawn shops or card stores, and the product they trade with is much more volatile in price with little chance of appreciation in the short term so they have to be more aggressive. It's just a shitty business to be in and there are things you can obviously criticize, but once you get a look at similar business you realize it's not as heinous as some make it out to be.

As for Camelot, I was surprised there were that many Game Stop employees disputing what he said on camera at first, but then seeing the only videos that do well for him are ones bitching about big companies and it becomes clear he's just another Hasan level idiot.

Regarding talking to the police during a traffic stop, Iirc when Elijah Shaffer was on, Nick told the story of getting pulled over for speeding in Texas while driving a rented Mustang.

Nick said, as he has many times, that when pulled over the thing to do is not admit anything, say nothing, etc. etc. & later, the ticket can be contested.

On the Texas ticket, he just paid it because being from out of state, he wasn't going to be able to show up to court in Texas but reiterated the advice of staying quiet & offering no commentary when getting pulled over.

Tried to find the clip, pulled up the video at a random spot, & immediately hear Nick, in a.voice full of reverence & wonder, preaching the gospel of balldo to Elijah:
