If I recall correctly, a decade ago or so some Russian historian predicted that the United States would fracture into different countries that would fall under the influence of neighboring or overseas powers. At the time the official response from DC was to laugh it off, but I'm starting to wonder if this slavnigga was onto something.

Of course his whole theory was still pretty schizo on the whole and demonstrated a severe lack of understanding of the cultures of many of the parts of the country or their relative populations/power. For example, he had listed an independent Texas + Southwest US secessionist nation as "coming under the control and/or influence of Mexico," when in reality if anything the opposite would probably happen.

I mean he was sorta right in a way, 2008 should have been a depression and the death of welfare services. This never happened because the government was too weak to deal with a depression and instead chose to paper over it and also exporting inflation.

This only worked because all the other nations were willing to take the inflation from the US because they saw no path forward without the US economy. The USD didn't become a Fiat currency until the 1970s when Nixon set up the "petro dollar", that's why the dollar is the reserve currency because the dollar was required to purchase gas.

Currently other nations have been divesting from the dollar and using other things to trade for gas instead. This is a clear move to "dedollarize" as faith in the dollar has waned since other nations now think the US can and will cut them off for ideological differences. You can see it happening in real-time, did you know Saudi Arabia is wanting to join Brics and wants to trade gas for other currencies?

My point boils down to the fact that other nations have caught on and realize they can simply trade commodities instead of using the dollar and this isn't some Zerohedge cope it's actually fucking happening and being talked about by the Federal Reserve.
