Steve1989MREInfo / Steve1989 / Steve Thomas - that guy that eats old MREs

If you have any sources of speculation that they tried to burry I'd be interested to check those out. All I saw on it was a "Guys wife died from the vax" 4chan thread I stumbled on and then later the official statements on the channel. I knew the video comments were in north Korea mode but the video flagging is new news to me.

I don't have any particular evidence or sources. I also don't think there was any foul play.

I was just turned off by both Steve Wallis' and his rabid fans' complete lack of curiosity and moralfagging about it.

It's natural to ask questions when a semi-public figure, a 31-year-old woman dies in her sleep one day and no one gives any reasonable explanation why besides perpetual calls for privacy and respect and calling anyone who is suspicious a conspiracy theorist.

Steve and his wife lived in Alberta. The leading cause of death there since the jab rollout has been "unknown" according to the government’s own charts, but no normies give a shit.

As to the mass flagging, his subreddit had a hate on for some nobody YTer named Rennex who was either banned or DFE.

This is from the comment section from a video that some sperg made mocking Rennex. I can't check the Community tab since I'm on mobile.

Here is a link to Steve Wallis' subreddit calling for mass flagging of this Rennex guy making videos about his wife's death.

Another thread calling for flagging of this Rennex guy.

Another one.

The last link has redditors claiming Steve Wallis hired a private investigator in Sweden to possibly harass this Rennex guy or another detractor.

Tried to find the referenced source post on FB, but can only scroll back to Dec 2022 without being logged in before FB bugs out.

Alberta won't find the cause of death if there's no foul play suspected. I was shown something about it, but I can't remember enough to find it now.

I would like to see Steve1989 eat a Lunchable, history digression and all. If he ever thought about doing an April Fool's episode, that would rule.

Plus there's so much that would actually tie in to his expertise. "These rations were designed for cold storage until hours before eating, at which point they'd be at room temperature unless Mom packed some Blue Ice."

It's a tragedy that this dude isn't literally in charge of MREs for the whole country. We'd never lose a war again.
No. The majority of them are no bueno.
When I was a kid I had relatives who would always bring around these MREs and some of them at least had components that were good. Those giant square crackers were great with the packets of peanut butter they had. They totally stuck to the top of your mouth but were delicious.

The powdered drink mixes were also usually pretty good.

The actual main dish generally ranges from Vomelet-tier to okay.

And imagine back in the C-Ration day when they came with a mini pack of Camels.

i remember watching a video of his where he made his own MRE and it came out pretty great from what i recall. i would love to see what he could come up with if he had all the tools and food items he could think of.

I feel Steve could unironically start his own MRE brand at this point and do fairly well, he already has the biggest MRE channel to show them off with and is cool with every other MRE channel out there from what I can tell. I'd buy some for emergencies and camping/hiking if those beautiful landscaper hands put them together.

In theory, but there has to be a lot of research, staff and equipment needed to make MREs on the scale they'd need to be profitable. You have to cook the vomlets and then pack them, plus each individual side, multiply that times however many different meals this season, and have the testing/existing data to know what will last and how long. Steve knows a lot, but you need actual food scientists and a big cushion of capital to survive.

Now, if Steve started out simple with his own cigarettes spray-dried coffee brand, I'd back that Kickstarter.

This one? IIRC this was one of his first/early attempts as he just got the freeze dryer. I'd eat it. Definitely better than the shit I used to get.

With modern USA infrastructure you'd probably have nowadays some ridiculous MREs that barely last, filled with exotic shit that barely fills you up and costs each an arm and a leg but gets funded anyways because pirvate connections

New MRE video dropped.
NGL, the main doesn't look THAT bad, but those mashed potatoes are...questionable.
Edit: madlad posted ANOTHER video:
Those look like tubes of preparation H with a horrifyingly long applicator tube

That said I like how he says the food is specially designed not to aggravate the bowels so pilots don't have to shit.....yet its all full of caffeine, which is famous for doing just that

That tube food is oddly appetizing. Shame beef stew got punctured and went bad though.
From what he said in the video, the tubes are aluminum and not particularly strong, hence why they're so hard to get a hold of. Compared to MRE pouches they're terribly fragile.

Which is a shame because it looked like he really enjoyed the tube food. I'd at least try it once.

He seemed so excited. It's probably like opening a door into a whole new dimension of MREs.

When he gets more, he should really consider finding the equivalent baby food and doing a comparison. Partially to prove a point, but also because that's a lot of people's reference.
