SkullGirls

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
Surprised this wasn't documented or made into a video about this. Just goes to show indie devs will never be real ones
From what I hear, MikeZ and Alex have nothing to do with it.

This is the result of a successful 10 year campaign that managed to pry Skullgirls from its original team.

The current team is a bunch of moralfag trannies who used fake allegations to get both Alex and Mike cancelled.

Now they corrupt SG with their faggotry and cleanse it of racist stereotypes and harmful sexy women.

Almost all negative reviews from the 26th of June onward have been censored, yet retarded reviews that have nothing to do with the game such as "A Hideo Kojima Game" are still up. I don't really think I have to explain how this is retarded

People like to talk about mortal sins. I don't think there's a greater mortal sin than hypocrisy. Nobody likes hypocrites.

I sort of feel like writing an email to valve but I don't even know where to begin and I can't really be assed. Maybe it's my fault. When they came for the porn addicted fighting games, I did not speak out. So when they came for my games, there was no one left to speak out for me. Oh well, I'll just pirate more than I already do now if they keep getting shittier. Yar har fiddle dee dee.
Fuck niggers.
Can't wait for all the devs downfall. It's kinda crazy knowing this game introduced fan service to now porn addicts. I'm really interested on what's going to happen next

I may have gotten it wrong; Alex wasn't cancelled, it was just MikeZ

With Mike it comes down to two parts: The DM saga is covered right on the first page. Then he made a "I CAN'T BREAF" joke while commentating a game. Really it comes down the same thing Mike's always been: A massive autist with no social skills. I fucking can't stand the guy but I've somehow become his biggest defender because all this shit is slimy.

It's current year so the I CAN'T BREAF joke was literally the worst thing ever!

One of the animators called the update "housekeeping" and getting rid of a dirty sock that's been there for years.

>"like, there's a dirty sock in the corner that's just been there for years, and we only
just had time to get it out of the way now. 2011 was a different time, too."

That comparison is fucking retarded because by that logic you're removing one dirty sock
while you're ignoring that your whole house and its foundation is made out of dirty socks.

You know what's really funny about this? it's speculated that their main motivation for this was becoming more tame so they could get some of that sweet sweet esports money but guess what game was on the main stage at this year's EVO?

Melty Blood Lumia, a panty waifu fighter with tons of fanservice that prominently features loli characters.

You know what game didn't make it to the main stage?

The censored Skullgirls. They literally did all this for nothing.

Alex Ahad (along with Mike Z) was one of the co-creators of Skullgirls. He was also creative lead in control of the art direction. He's the designer of the original cast using designs he came up in High School. He left the company with a large settlement from them after suing them. He was described as "hard to work with." It all makes him sound like a real asshole (which I think he is but that's for allowing the all the lefties to take over the company, not this). Until you realize this was during their follow up game at the time Indivisible. The story goes that Alex was not satisfied with the work output from his colleagues and given the final product of Indivisible it looks like he was 100% right. As time goes on and what's left of the dev team have yet to make a SINGLE new IP, Alex continues to be proven right.

Alex Ahad was ousted from the company because he had standards for work much higher than his colleagues which is why everything that's come out Lab Zero (and what's left of it) have been absolute shit.

I hope EVO dies the same way E3 did
a slow painful death?

Because game companies are still dragging E3's corpse around and the separate livestream videos they do on YouTube aren't exactly any better.

People would just host their own "EVO" just to catch that spotlight. You'd still have trannies fighting trannies while trannies commentate on it, all while wearing those stupid masks to virtue signal about how progressive and tolerant they are.

Melty blood is very kino series

If I'm not mistaken that was entirely Rhianna Pratchett's design. I don't think Squeenix informed her decision in any way in that regard, they just saw who her father was, said "you're hired" and regretted it ever since.
I actually liked the story/narrative of the tomb raider reboots. She's actually a talented VG writer.

What is ridiculous was she was hired for dark comedy game Overlord. She's not that funny, and I assume she got the job because of her dad.

Unrelated to the current drama for the game, but:

The first couple pages talk on a canon story/planned plot. I remember this as a thing way back and that they needed Squigly, Dahlia, and Umbrella playable to make it work.

I've asked around everywhere on the internet and perhaps even here so I apologize if I did a couple pages back or something, but... is that ever going to happen? What was the plan for it? If not, did Alex or Mike Z drop the planned canon story or a summary of it anywhere to read up on? I like T&A but honestly came to this game years ago for the art deco aesthetic and worldbuilding, and would be immensely disappointed if we'll never know what actually happens to the story of the current Skullgirl.

She's a terrible writer and one the reasons why the 2010s reboot trilogy was shit.

No, the plot is definitely never happening, at least in the way that Alex originally intended it.

Every ending in the story mode is a "what if?", iirc the intent was to use this game, Skullgirls 1, as a way to build the world of Skullgirls and then flesh it out with a definitive plotline in the sequel (with Eliza being the main villain, explaining things like Samson's previous host etc), and then have third and final game where after defeating Eliza everyone fought the Trinity. Alex never really elaborated on these ideas publicly so people are just left to discern from breadcrumbs and hints. (But most importantly, Future Club will have you know that if a tranny wants to wish on the Skull Heart and become a Skullgirl, xhe can do it!)

Skullgirls 2 as a game is never happening period, Alex and Mike, the only person who knew how to use the Z-Engine have been ousted. The closest you might get is another shitty webtoon with awful character redesigns as closure.

Are we taking about the Overlord I know and love, the code masters series which was amazing for 1 and 2 but turned to shit when 3 released? The first two were pretty good and the writing and gameplay was great as a kid and even when I replayed it recently.

Someone who knows what's up finally can tell me after all this time, thank you tons for real!

I forgot to mention that I too remember all the endings for SG1 were supposed to be what-ifs... even containing bits and hints of what'd happen in the main story mode as well. But I DIDN'T know about the plans for sequels and that SG1 would've merely been a worldbuilding game of sorts...though I didn't know on Eliza becoming a main villain (though it's quite logical, thinking on it) and the Trinity would've been my guess to endgame villains anyways. You don't just introduce those kinds of cryptic background characters without plans.

I'm very sorry that it came to this in terms of the story. Not just the troonery, not just the redesigns (I admit I actually like that MF outfit, but knowing it's meant for puriteen and wokeism reasons sours it for me)... just... just that this really cool game, and a unique idea and world, got ruined by current clown world politics. I'm truly shocked the co-creators haven't been approached on releasing their story notes or they do so as a fuck-you to the current devs in complete seriousness. It's a damn shame we'll never get a true ending to this world's story since I doubt anyone expected it to be an ever-lasting series...

Man. I remember the fun with all the lore tidbits nerds were gathering up into a singular plot thread on those gay Shoryuken forums years ago. I'll always remember that, the announcement trailer on youtube, and the excitement at finally playing the game on release. Really funny how bright the future seemed then for Skullgirls...
