Russian Special Military Operation in the Ukraine - Mark IV: The Partitioning of Discussion

Fuck around and find out, fucking oinker simps.

>get free fisting session from her husband

I don't have to remind you about the reaction of hohol shills toward dead family and their girl left an orphan that happened recently, right?

Is this because anything we are willing to send them is obsolete, or because whatever we send them it would have problems?
Some people in the west came to acceptance with the fact that russian air defences are, indeed, very good. The entire russian doctrine anticipates fighting a war without air superiority, and amount of air defense reflects that. You have very short, short, medium, long and very long range defences (strela/pantsir/buk/S300/S400) all interlaced and working together fighting diffefent kinds of targets. Add to that incoming S500 supposed to target very high altitude ballistic missiles.
Compare that to NATO, which has Patriot... and thats it. Maybe a vehicle here and there, which are continuously being decomissioned. Western aircraft wouldnt fare well in a contested airspace. None would.

Ukraine aims to sap Russia’s defenses, as U.S. urges a decisive breakthrough (archive)

This WaPo article is getting a lot of play on Twitter today. Kind of interesting, I guess. Two things caught my eye:

Suppressing Enemy Air Defenses (SEAD a.k.a Wild Weasel.....or Iron Hand if you want to go old school) is really fucking technical. Killing SAMs requires dedicated units that only train on that issue.

Yes, a normal F-16 pilot knows how a HARM works and knows how to evade a SAM. It's not an easy job.

Also, the UAF has few pilots and those guys are experienced and they can't afford to send them away, as the replacements will get killed and they'll lose the few airframes that the currently have. Sending new pilots for training will be a disaster as NATO hasn't trained for this type of flying since 1991. The F-16s will get swatted put of the sky

There's no context to the "four brigades," as in, four EXTRA brigades. Kind of leaving me to think the article is stating that Ukraine has only 20,000 troops committed, but that makes no sense at all.
The AFU is getting too scared to send more troops into the breach. The "probing groups" were supposed to find the weak spots in the line and perform reconnaissance for the breakthrough groups.

That failed and now their "elite fighting men" will have to smash their head against the lines, something NATO doesn't want to see happen to their precious equipment

I assume Z-man is hoping for foreign "volunteer" pilots.
A rifle has plausible deniability, but bringing you own fighter jet?

By the way this is entire offensive is why losing your mine clearing equipment is a really bad idea in modern warfare. Inching forward with sappers in the age of drones is such a retarded idea that you'd think Zaluzhny took a hit to the head and thinks he's still in WW1. But I guess the bluster about an offensive had already been made - so what else can they do? If they admit they have no hope in attacking, then they admit they've lost Eastern Ukraine and anything the Russians take on top of that.
If the AFU had trained their guys to patrol, the mines wouldn't be a major issue....that and not making proper defenses on their FLOT.

Instead they made TikTok videos, mastrubated to drone videos, maintained a porous security zone, and thought war was like CoD, while the Russians were out patrolling and laying AT mines for months on end. They would have seen the mines and worked at stopping the Russians.

He can hope all he wants but trying some AVG/Flying Tigers shit again wouldn't work.

If those planes touched a wheel on Ukrainian soil, or maintainers crossed the border.....the tsunami of guided munitions will provide us with tons of lolz.

"You get a Kalibur! You get a Kalibur!"

And if they operate from NATO country, I forsee lots of "smoking accidents" as the Kholkhols like to claim. And even if some ops get busted, it's going to be hard to claim its an Article 5 issue .

I'm not sure I understand? Do you mean they didn't document the areas the Russians left the mines? or that they didn't strike the minelayers.

Perfect.

I really wonder if the West continuing to demand Zelensky execute a 'major breakthrough' somewhere knowing full well that it's impossible is a ploy to force his military commanders to overthrow him and do the dirty work for them. That would solve multiple problems for the US/NATO.

I think he means they have no real presence of scouts on the ground to report this kind of shit to HQ that can then disseminate that information down to platoon leaders.

Also, aren't the days of clearing minefields by hand long gone? I thought they either used big steel rollers to carve a path or launched strands of det cord across the minefield to detonate anything in their vicinity... It seems like the det cord method is pretty cheap and easy.

Ukraine's mine-clearing vehicles were destroyed long ago. Those things are sitting ducks without air cover.

Do you really need a specialty vehicle? It seems like the det cord method could be done with potato launchers.
