Same here brother! I got a stealth bann from Brianna for standing up to her and trying to defend some poor guy she was talking down to on Twitter, back when she stil had some slight semblance of power. She accused me of being a gamergater, I said that I wasn't while telling her I think the whole movement is stupid, Wu went dead silent, and next time I logged on to Twitter it said I was suspended. Still suspended months later, but honestly I can't think of better way to burn a Twitter account.

I got banned for tweeting criticism on the post Wu made about not silencing critics.

* Like four of our sock accounts used for info-gathering have been indefinitely suspended for daring to criticize Saint Brianna of Wu.

I don't know if Wu is thinking about this, probably too high off getting a blue checkmark, but he's now in a worse position now that he has that check mark.

If Revolution 60 bombed before he was verified, he could've nuked his account, waited a few years, hope like hell most of the people who cared stopped, then gone on to another scam.

Now that he's verified, he fucked due to his own pride and hubris from two angles: He has to legitimize the checkmark (since he knows it's the plebe version and his vanity can't stand that) by actually shoving his abortion out the door soon, but he knows it will get demolished as soon as he does, and now that's he's verified, he will be known as a verified failure, and nuking his account NOW would be far more damning, especially since that verified mark would have to reacquired later, and he can't do that without bringing up his sordid past again later, so if he self destructs now, he's more boned than ever.

I personally think the problem is that the game looks like shit.

1) I can't get over how shitty the design for Bugbimbo is. Like, at all. So, she has some super-awesome ability that supposedly is super badass (though we never see her using it successfully), but these stupid heart-shaped antenna just look completely idiotic...
2) That "light behind a planet with the title of the game" thingy looks kinda familiar.

Opening up Twitter verification is like a dream to these people, they already throw out the opinion of ANYONE who doesn't use their real name/face on social networks. They must love the fact it can even go further to only be people who dox themselves to be blessed by Twitter.

I'd bet money in the next 3 months on Bri losing an argument and saying "You can talk to me when you've been verified, until then you are just a potential harasser and could just be pretending to be someone else". Probably use it when she gets blown the fuck out by another woman or a black guy.

It kind of makes sense for Twitter to have an account status for people who have proven their real identities to them. After the Ghostbusters Leslie J racism blowup, and the past two years of slapfights, it's apparent that there are two categories of twitter users: those who want to talk to anonymous users and those who don't.

Celebrities and bigwigs need twitter to quickly dispense announcements and info without using the press, but they don't want to talk to egg accounts, just regular people. That's fine. And then there's the non-tech savy types for whom twitter is their first encounter with anonymous comments. The fact that the internet is full of shitheads that should be ignored comes as no surprise to people like us, whom have been living in forums for the past decade, but it can be terrifying for those without the experience. I nearly had a panic attack at the age of 14 the first time I read a forum post from an atheist.

Maybe the ID-verification won't make users less likely to troll and harass, but it creates a designation that Twitter could use to create a setting- in which people can opt to only see replies from verified users. Which is probably what the blocklist crowd wants, until they discover that verified people will also disagree with them, but who knows.

I don't, no. He's nattering on about working on peripheral, meaningless bits of the game that should have been done months (years) ago. Or don't need to be done at all, really. He's kicking the can down the road.

It's fascinating. I don't know why he can't release the game now, but it's obvious he can't. How long can he get away with this game? Short answer: two years and counting, so far.
