When he feels people are about to say shit about him he decides to say/do something before people point it out so he can have some control over the narrative or manipulate others. He has shown to get upset when people just call him fat, but he has no problem showing off his grotesque body for laughs and views. He figures if he can get everyone to laugh, no one will have the time to be super critical. If that fails just start crying about how your parents brutalized you in your childhood so everyone can back off. Him saying all this stuff about her is just him trying to have a fixed narrative on the situation and drama bombing.
Of course Boogie is only going to admit to paying to 'dates and stuff', but my bet is that he pays for everything they do together (AKA she pays no rent, all daily expenses covered, MAYBE she pays her own cell phone or buys him/herself something small occasionally) and simply justifies it to himself as they are 'dating' instead of cohabitating.

I cannot underestimate how uncomfortable I felt when we went anywhere in public, even with her looking older than 25 and me looking a few years younger than 44. You dont have things in common in general, we had our martial art which was a big thing.

adding on to this, he may also be doing it to make her appear more similar to him and his slew of issues to sell their "compatibility" because they have nothing else going on for them considering he's a grown ass man and she just graduated high school two years ago. he probably expects people to think "oh look she's just like him, they're perfect for each other!" when in reality he comes off as a jackass for plastering this girl's private life all over twitter and a predator for pursuing a young girl with so many mental health issues.
