Breast & Ovary complaints

Hello, my name is Paranoia Machine and I'd like to join your movement.
sign me up too!! i've stopped wearing bras in the house (given i wfh, that is most of the time). i get uncomfortable without a bra if i'm out and about walking and stuff, not self conscious just the jiggling eventually gets too much so i wear a bralette. i am never buying an underwired bra again. i can't believe it took me so fuckig long to think "these aren't comfortable to wear, so i will not wear them."

as ovaries are also on topic, i'm pissed at mine. there's something (i ahve an idea what and there's nothing i can do about it now) causing seriously low AMH levels despite my FSH being fine. i've been trying for a baby for 2 years, currently waiting for IVF on NHS. found out about the AMH in a private consult and was basically told it might not even be possible to retreive enough decent eggs for IVF, and that i might not be ovulating every month cos there were so few follicles.

like a totally sane person i'm going to be shovig viagra up my vadge after my next period cos apparently it increases blood flow which can help increase folicle count somehow. if that sounds desperate its cos it is.

It should become more socially acceptable to not wear bras tbh. Especially if you have big boobs.
Ha, enjoy that! I can't stand not wearing a bra of some sort. I even sleep in lightweight midline or longline lace bralettes half the time - just something that does a little something . If I don't put on a bra in the morning I feel almost demotivated to do anything productive and like I need a shower (even if I just had one). It doesn't have to be much of one - though I've worn underwires since I was 14 (and they've always felt comfortable) - a sports bra*, longline bralette, pushup, padded, unpadded, sheer, whatever, depending on the day - even a bathing suit top works (my two-pieces are all very structured); I just like some kind of management. And am I the only one who feels sweatier without a bra than with one?

* one with hooks and good structure that doesn't smash things down or create a uniboob
Discovering the BOB bra measuring method was a game changer for me.

https://www.booborbust.com/bra-measuring-guide/
This is a really good calculator! I've never run into it before. I am going to try it for real later, but I put in estimates based on some info I know, and it came back pretty close to what I've been wearing, which fit well. Every single professional/store fitting I have ever had got it wrong - always too big band, too small cup. Last time I bothered with a pro fitting was about 15 years ago - thought I'd give the pros one more chance. At the time I was wearing a 32D on the middle hook, and probably could have been DD. Of course, she said, "34C!". I was like, ma'am, I measure 29" underbreast and have never worn a 34 in my life, and I know it isn't right. But, to humor her, I tried on the bras she brought. Of course I was spilling out over the top of every single one, and the band was gaping and sliding all over the place (and if the band's too big, then the straps are going to be doing what the band is supposed to do). Sister sizes my ass.

I've noticed in recent years that online calculators are now doing a better job, but this calculator you posted has more measurements than most. Thx for the link, and their actual calculator is here: https://www.booborbust.com/#calculator_top

Two comments on hair removal:
1. I love my epilator. LOVE it. I use it for legs only, occasionally upper lip if tweezing isn't cutting it - pits and bikini hurt more than waxing and I've bruised myself from it so those are a no for me, but ymmv. But for legs, it's awesome.

1.5 If you have a tendency to keratosis pilaris (you get dry bumps at follicles, which can sometimes trap hairs), a glycolic acid lotion/treatment is great. I use Glytone on legs and backs of my upper arms, but I'm sure there are others. Finally having smooth-to-the-touch skin is fantastic.

2. The future is bright! Body hair growth in general slowed down and thinned out immensely for me at menopause (happily, hair on my head hasn't been affected). I think it's almost worth the hell sleep I get due to waking every hour and a half for a hot flash.

wtf my left is smaller too, I wonder if it's related to which hand you write with or something silly like that lol

Left is smaller, and I'm left handed...

My period has gotten stupidly heavy as I've gotten older, and it was already pretty annoying and excessively long if left to its own devices. It's dumb as hell. I haven't hit that magic hemhorraging threshold, at least, but it really crimps my hippie vibe when I have to switch back to using disposable pads for fear of bleeding though my reusables yet again. :/

I'm finally having to switch to seeing a gyno, and I'm a little anxious about it. I'm worried that the doc is gonna be more old-fashioned and yank my birth control cuz I'm too old (which I'll accept if I gotta, but also meh).

Had 5 week heavy as fuck periods. Got the implant and it was basically 3 days of spotting.

Same thing happens on the other end.
There's an "acceptable boob" zone where if you're "too small" you don't fill out clothes like the mannequin, and if you're too big then you look like the tit monster from outer space and people give you shit for "dressing inappropriately" or "looking slovenly" when you're just wearing a t-shirt.

Yup, this is me. Giant boobs so t-shirts ride up for no reason except boobs.

No i haven't actually. I just looked it up its sorta similar to what i get but i think most of the time it's ingrown hairs. When i lance or get the blackheads before they form cysts theres usually two or three hairs in it.

When your tiddies are that big i'd suggest an under bust corset. I absolutely hate bras with a passion the constriction on my chest drives me nuts and i've been fitted for bras properly many times i just hate them. Admittedly this was after i broke my ribs a few years ago the discomfort got worse. But if you are carrying the boulder of triumph on each side how about a corset? A well made well fitted corset will do wonders for figure and back pain. You don't need to wear them tight enough to concave your waist but they are very very comfortable.

They'd cost as much as a couple of good bras but id rate them i wear one regularly at work.

Ooh any good sites to buy from? I'd like either underbust or half cup tbh.

Didn't know Viagra can do that, so TIL!

am I the only one who feels sweatier without a bra than with one?

No, definitely not just you! I pretty much have to put a bra on immediately upon getting out of bed, or I'm uncomfortable. My posture is also affected, I will find myself slouching if I'm not wearing a bra.

I also have hard-nipple guilt and it's stupid. I bought thick bras, but that doesn't stop the nips from poking through, and it happens so randomly. I try not to dwell on it and just hope that at least they look even.

And am I the only one who feels sweatier without a bra than with one?
i get underboob sweat. when i'm at home i don't really care but it contributes to my wearing a bra when i'm out and about.

i think the band of the bra absorbs the sweat and also separates the skin from the bottom of the breast from the skin directly brlow so you don't feel the sweat so much on your skin.

it makes me glad i don't have massive fat folds. at least with boobs i can wear a bra to stop the uncomfortable sweatiness but our deathfats have to tolerate the feeling whenever they move without any ability to just put on a garment and stop that discomfort. skin rubbing against skin and sweatinig is horrible. can't believe people choose food over not having to deal with that with every motion.

X cc
I have two underwire bras I only wear for certain cosplays. Otherwise fuck that shit, it's sports bras or nothing. Never had time for that underwire bullshit.
Lol, I find them so comfortable (barring a wire sticking through, which I haven't experienced in decades bc I finally sucked it up and stocked up). Containment, and front & center are my criteria. But also, per the sizing conversation, the right band and cup makes a world of difference. But I've heard a lot of people say what you're saying. I'm still in awe of your comfort braless.

My posture is also affected, I will find myself slouching if I'm not wearing a bra.
I find the same. I wfh, and to me, it's like (well, even more) shuffling around in pj's and bare feet, vs putting on clothes and - game changer - a pair of shoes (sneaks or athletic sandals): if I put on shoes first thing, I get energy and so much more done. And - productively or not - I end up moving a lot more in general, and faster. "This one weird trick," I guess. I'm a sloth naturally languid, but I hate that, so I take any energy boosters I can.

Yes, I can't stand it. And like @suspended animation said, my posture also suffers without a bra, so the issue is compounded.

I put on some weight a few years ago, and skin hitting skin when just sitting around was a huge motivator to cut back and get my shit back together. I've got an endo physique (all soft edges: curves even at 100 lbs (which is not even close to a natural weight for me)), and am a shorty, so I have to manage shit or I'm miserably distracted. As much as I have accepted I'm never going to be Kate Moss and am (mostly) fine with it (though I'd love to know what long, narrow limbs feel like, ha), I can't fathom what day-to-day life would feel like piling on a few hundred pounds to this frame.

Honestly a good corset fitter you need to go in store, any decent goth style corsetry will better Steel bones is always better but some of the plastic bonning (not the cheap lingerie shit) will be a suitable option if steel bonning is out of your price range. A well fit corset will be like putting on your favourite pair of shoes, because it'll mold to your body and be a second skin. You can also wear a cami underneath it to protect the fabric which stops boob sweat too.

Oh man, I'm so jealous! I tried an IUD once and I basically had a (light) period for two years straight. I had absolute garbage insurance and it was before Obamacare, so it was one of those "I'M GONNA GET MY MONEY'S WORTH" decisions that was, in retrospect, stupid as *hell*. Can you feel the implant when it's in your arm? That would be such a sensory nightmare.

Nope! It's like, in, healed, forget it.

I am yet to find a good bra with underwire that does not poke me in the ribs after a while. It was easier for me to wear them in college, as @Android raptor said, is sport bras only, or bodysuits. The only underwire bra that I have left is a strapless one that I use with off shoulder tops and party dresses

Going braless? Only at home, the few times I dared to go outside I ended with back pains and unsolicited comments

I have not used a calculator before, I will give it a try later

EDIT: The calculator made me think that maybe I have been using the wrong bra size for a while, it says that I need a 34HH instead of a 36G, if only I had tried it before I started my maternity treatment

Not to pry, but I'm curious whether you have tried on a bra in your recommended BOB size?
If you were wearing a bra that was 2 cups too small and with underwiring it must have been very uncomfortable.

No problem! I actually bought one with underwire and a sports one shortly after to test if the BOB suggestions were on point. And I say that they were pretty accurate.

I have actually updated my bras with this new measurement. Before I gained weight I could use wired ones without too much trouble, but when I got fatter, I picked the one that fitted me the most and rolled with it.

The underwired was way better than the strapless with wire that I already owned, the downside is that I would like that it could push my boobs together just a little more but I think that is how the model I picked worked.

The sports one felt different in a good way, my girls were less pressed against my chest and I could snug them better between the shapes of the bra and I actually tried to do some physical activity with it and I didn't got any rash on the underboob or the feeling that the bra was about to burst out. The gross sweaty sensation of the underboob also didn't bothered me too much this time but I could still feel it with both bras. I haven't tried a bodysuit as the ones I already have still fit me comfortably.

The miss that sold me the new ones said that my height could be a contributing factor that I didn't feel too uncomfortable with a smaller cup, but thanks that I picked the 36G, it made me ditch the underwired ones for daily use and frankly I haven't looked back.

I would say that if any of you have doubts about your bra sizing, give it a try to the tool and get one with the suggested size, it could work for you as much as it did for me

BOB is soooo good, I had the best fitting bras ever from using that calculator. I was wearing 36B before and they were super uncomfortable, then I got a BOB size of 30F and it was like night and day? Then lockdown happened and I have never worn a proper bra since lol. I feel so lucky to have quite small boobs because it gives so much freedom, I hated it when I was younger though.

I had a tummy tuck and liposuction on my sides a while ago and now when I put a few pounds on it seems to just go to my boobs. I don’t think my theory is very scientific but I think maybe because the fat cells around my middle got sucked and cut out it all just goes to somewhere nearby? Anyway, it’s annoying because now any weight gain makes my clothes not fit in a different way that I never expected. Can’t win eh.

I don't have one, but my science teacher showed us that you can, literally, feel it, when I was in school. She poked it, and we saw the skin indentation.

I had one day of "tapering-off" period, and thought I was in the clear. Bam, full blood last night. I got tricked by the dang period man again!

I tried the tool and it's saying I am DD cup, which is just ridiculous. I don't know. I'll try in a store, but I'm pretty sure i'm not that big.

Edit: oh shit i'm about to get schooled

I feel you, some pants still fit me well around the thighs and others don't, some I can not even pull them all the way up, and the dress I like to wear is now so tight that I feel that it could burst at any moment around the hip. I am still undecided to buy more clothes as I am right now if I decide to go back to my regular weight after my treatment ends.

Give it a try, I did not believe it until I fitted myself with the suggested size and it really made a world of difference
