There isn't much difference. Under anyone besides RFK and Trump, the Ukraine and Syria wars escalates because Boomers and pre-Boomers love to larp WWII. Except WWIII causes Mexican cartels and/or Mexico to annex the Southwest as the US distracts its defense on wars on the other side of the planet. The US military finds itself feeling the competency crisis even harder from partial mobilization.

Under actual outsider candidates, the media reports the economy implodes and another COVID like scare gets the Lefty states to sabotage the rest of the Union. BLM burns cities again.

Which is why I want Trump to win, and then tell us all we're completely screwed and not actually take office. That would make the Left scream for Trump to take office and that would be the ultimate troll.
I have my own opinions, obviously, on Trump vs other candidates but I was asking that guy in particular what his opinions are as I'm curious what he thinks of the alternatives.

A "Donald Trump isn't going to do much" assessment to me somewhat sidesteps the main reasons to vote for him over other people. It sure as fuck isn't the hope that he'll somehow manage to single-handedly fix anything given how deep the rot in the system goes.

His and Stilcho's fate manage to make me pissed at literal ancient history. You can add Aurelian's to the mix even though that happened way before then. Great, competent, and possibly virtuous men cut down because of some self-absorbed retards. Hell, throw Caesar's assassination into the pile: he did nothing but help the people of Rome and the corrupt assholes in the senate that he went out of his way to spare killed him for it.

Well the biggest change over the last 6 years is that the global elites have switched from profiteering to outright looting of the worlds economy. This is why I believe something big is coming, the 1% always know before everyone else and they've been looting like madmen the last 3 years optics be damned.
dunno, besides some statistic that by 2030 the road to kick the can down is gone or something similar, it feels more they act like trying to prevent a bad horoscope come true, only cause bad things to happen in the first place. the world is usually that mundane.
or who knows, maybe possible meteor or announced alien invasion...

This alone has me feeling pretty certain that any attempts to steal the election in 2024 would be minimal and fail. We still have 16 months until the elections, and the economy will just continue to break. By the time the election comes around the house of cards the Democrats built with lies and fraud will be falling (or has fallen) and they just won't be able to fight against voter sentiment.

I'm curious to see how Biden's impeachment trial will go, especially when everyone involved will have Trump's impeachment trial to compare it against. I'm not making any predictions though because the government is actively disregarding facts and logic.

Fraud's not going to work this time, Biden is already polling worse than Hillary did against Trump in 2016, and that's before the anti-trump vote gets split at least two ways if not three. Also, the people rating this optimistic may want to consider the fact that Trump will be conducting ballot harvesting operations of his own this time around, which means that both sides will be benefiting from massive stacks of ballots in the early morning hours.

Don't expect much from the impeachment, they don't have the votes to remove Biden from office as far as I can tell.

I don't understand this early voting promotion by Republican activists.
The gist of less-stupid GOP going hard on mail in, early, harvesting, and any other bullshit is "It's all well and good to have ambition to change the rules, but if you're not minmaxing the rules as they are currently you're a fucking retard."

They can't do honest arguing, it needs to be some over the top appeal to pure emotion to shut down people's brains into acting how they want. So of course they will ignore the truth to instead lie on the most absurd interpretation of something.

It is also why they are so determined to shut down dissent. Allowing people to question and debunk this bullshit saps their power away fully.

Wow. That actually really angers me that the dipshitocrats are that reckless. If we ever get into a naval conflict that will be a disaster.

at least is not a troon this time i think Admiral Lisa Franchetti

Byep. No sense of duty, no loyalty. only hire people who like the feeling of importance and the fancy title that comes with it.

The best thing every military should do is ignore their dwindling population of service members with combat experience (no matter how goofy) for office chair kangz n quainz that somehow have a larger ribbon rack and medal count than the guys who're raiding towelhead compounds not that long ago. Woo hooo, literal historical first in the making, first female of (insert thing) oops, she was derelict and it led to ships running out of supplies at sea or at port demanding a resupply. Retired with full benefits 100% VA rating + $2 million payouts for speaking events to talk about being literally the first female for (insert thing).

As much a I love Stilicho and Aetius, they weren't really virtuous. Stilicho and Aetius were very underhanded and corrupt generals, it's just they were intelligent and realized they needed an actual surviving and healthy empire to exist in order to do anything so tried making sure it was stable. They understood that the golden goose needed to be fed and protected, you don't just kill it. In a utilitarian sense they were good but there were no truly virtuous men in the empire anymore, just intelligent and unintelligent. Honorius is modern day Biden to a T.

Also Aurelian was basically a 3rd century Patton, unrivaled general with an iron force of will that the average soldier adored, but hated by politicians and staffers because his no-bullshit attitude that led to many purges which was his eventual downfall. I really like Aurelian, but his tendency to be so abrasive made his fate kind of inevitable. Still one of the best emperors.

Because Putin was the guy at the gang rape of Russia who was invited to participate but then pulled a knife and started stabbing his fellow rapists so he could have Russia all to himself.

Putin crippled the oligarchy and the west's rape of Russia in the 90s that beggared the country into poverty and has spent the last 23 years rebuilding Russia back into a first world power as opposed to being a third world hellhole like (((they))) want it to be.

I personally think the DNC is sicker than the GOP because they fucking murder any young talent, while the GOP operates in a different manor that makes such shit harder.
Not really. It's ironically easier to be a young politician in the GOP than the DNC, because the young GOPers tend to be fully aware of the "when you come for the king you better not miss" rhetoric of politics and primaries in general. Especially since the Tea Party opened up a sea change of the young guard purging the old guard.

The pendulum is nothing more than astrology for conservatives. The pendulum does not exist. It never existed. There is nothing historical that can be cited to demonstrate it exists. Not only is it a call to inaction, it admits that half the time, everything is going to swing to the left. Leftists believe that history trends in their direction and proceeds accordingly but pendulum believers think they only get half of it. So even from the beginning, it demonstrates that they’re not going to do as much as the left and then are shocked that kids are being taught gay sex before multiplication tables, if those are even a thing these days. If there is a pendulum, it is a retarded one that has only gone leftward since the 18th century enlightenment.

I’ve made fun of the pendulum before and will continue to do so because it doesn’t exist. It’s just another excuse to do nothing. I’d rather someone say that they’re just a lazy nigger who wants things to magically happen for him without any skin in the game on his end. Hence astrology for conservatives.

Pendulum shit is real, but it's not 100% given.

It's one of those things that actively requires you to get off your ass and do shit to make happen, because unless you push shit to change in the consciousness of the public, it never will change because the public will stay quiet so long as (((they))) keep gaslighting people into thinking the anti-life agenda is accepted by all to silence dissent.

It's one of the reasons WHY the 90s and going all in on the Evangelicals and their "going galt" style response to the culture wars, was a disaster for the right. You can't cede culture to the left and just retreat into your own little hugbox.

Exactly. The pendulum metaphor is just a recognition that every generation lives in response to the past. It's why Georgian era and Victorian era morals were so different and why the 20th century was so volatile. Unfortunately, an effective response requires an active dialog and the tools to have it. Boomers keep spouting the same stuff instead of looking anywhere new and everyone under 30 is broke, dumb and miserable.

This is why I said possibly virtuous. To be so at that time would've gotten you killed as retards see principles as liabilities. You have to be somewhat morally corrupt or off to use power to its fullest extent. It was Caesar's sense of honor and respect that got him killed in the end, same with Aurelian. Octavian did not share the same sentiment. It's sad, but idiots with short-term thinking exist in this world and you must accommodate or account for them lest one fucks everything up.
