Taking half a pill of meds instead of all of em scitzo post time.I believe that capitalism in it's pursuit of profits has invented trading bots which will encourage the most efficient companies by investment. It only takes one to notice that workers are the easiest to reduce expenditure and starts incentivizing investment based on employee count. This starts a runaway cycle of valuation that the company can borrow against and eventually corner the market. Its strategy to do so also created by an AI that sees workers as inefficient to its loss function of valuation and employee count.
Everything will start to look the same because the product made by the AI last year was successful, so why would the AI running the company reinvent the wheel and mess with your loss function.
People will starve, but it doesn't matter because the money isn't real to begin with.
The whole spiel behind digital/algorithmic market and trading thing is legit as it's been running since possibly earlier than 2010 even, and also I wonder how much "Why would you just keep losing money to push X?" in the corporate world today is just blindly obeying the algorithm because it says so(tm) despite it being stuck or jammed ala chat GPT telling you to eat the maclunky in a loop.
That or- at the end of the day how much of it is acting with government blank checks and bailouts in mind because we are approaching unironic post consumer economies - You don't need a buyer for a product never meant to sell when the money is printed and handed to you for helping pave the ideological highway which was the real intended effect produced.
Even the previous "Touched by the invisible hand" sacred cabals called investors are becoming vestigial to the process. How many articles about investors seething and malding at X company for losing Y cash over some narrative shit have you read in the past decade to no meaningful conclusion?
That and the runaway feedback loops that a fellow autist theorized about. Thumbnailed and clickable for phone lepers.
