I believe that capitalism in it's pursuit of profits has invented trading bots which will encourage the most efficient companies by investment. It only takes one to notice that workers are the easiest to reduce expenditure and starts incentivizing investment based on employee count. This starts a runaway cycle of valuation that the company can borrow against and eventually corner the market. Its strategy to do so also created by an AI that sees workers as inefficient to its loss function of valuation and employee count.

Everything will start to look the same because the product made by the AI last year was successful, so why would the AI running the company reinvent the wheel and mess with your loss function.

People will starve, but it doesn't matter because the money isn't real to begin with.
Taking half a pill of meds instead of all of em scitzo post time.

The whole spiel behind digital/algorithmic market and trading thing is legit as it's been running since possibly earlier than 2010 even, and also I wonder how much "Why would you just keep losing money to push X?" in the corporate world today is just blindly obeying the algorithm because it says so(tm) despite it being stuck or jammed ala chat GPT telling you to eat the maclunky in a loop.

That or- at the end of the day how much of it is acting with government blank checks and bailouts in mind because we are approaching unironic post consumer economies - You don't need a buyer for a product never meant to sell when the money is printed and handed to you for helping pave the ideological highway which was the real intended effect produced.

Even the previous "Touched by the invisible hand" sacred cabals called investors are becoming vestigial to the process. How many articles about investors seething and malding at X company for losing Y cash over some narrative shit have you read in the past decade to no meaningful conclusion?

That and the runaway feedback loops that a fellow autist theorized about. Thumbnailed and clickable for phone lepers.

"Why aren't normies super sad over our plight?!?!????"
Because of this shit right here: Unnecessary, unwarranted and unbelievable need of authority over other people's enjoyment of things that harm nobody. You're "fighting" for better wages, not dressup and wankfics. You lose anymore focus, you're gonna get Occupy Wallstreet'd. which would be deserved.

Are you implying that Hollywood is really just to concentrate all the retards in one place so they don't leak out into the general populace?

Hollywood's filth is broadcasted out to the masses via all the media they produce, in concentrated propagandistic form. It is many millions of times worse than the situation you inferred. In some ways I'd actually prefer it that way, they would have no unified apparatus to broadcast their trash and I'm sure a not-insignificant number of them would end up in shallow graves that few would ever discover.

"deadlines and overworking are the reason for shitty writing!" isn't the genius excuse they think it is, because everyone understand they could've still written ANYTHING ELSE than lefty dreck...
The other gaslight of theirs about corpos controlling it all is equally bad too. It literally makes them look even more worthless & replaceable.

The guys of Takimag added their pinch of salt about the writers strike that was worth to share for some chuckles.

...Last week Deadline reported that the studios have decided to break the writers. Starve ’em. There’ll be no negotiations until Halloween, because by then the writers will be broke after six months of unemployment. The studios will then say, “Winter’s coming…still wanna play hardball?”

So now, in an effort to subvert that strategy, writers are looking for work—any work—to keep money in their pockets. Problem is, the real world has little use for their “particular set of skills.”

Lumber Yard Manager: “Damn, this new shipment of Hemlock’s got ring shake. Hey, new guy—any ideas?”

Writer: “Let’s have a black woman walk through the lumberyard looking noble. She’ll stare straight ahead with the dignity of a thousand queens. From her very soul she fights passionately for justice. Is she perfect? No. Sometimes she cares too much.”

Manager: “You’re fired.”

IHOP Manager: “Hey, idiot, that’s the fifth order you’ve botched. Didn’t you watch the training video?”

Writer: “Yes, and I rewrote it to star a transgender Ghanaian in the lead.”

Manager: “Christ, I shoulda hired a Mexican.”

It has been really funny to see the writer's strike and actors strike totally cripple Hollywood while at the same time making the average consumer shrug their shoulders and move on, because why would they care? Everything they make is total shit. I hope it goes on forever. Less woke shit getting made and more woke faggots getting hurt. Gotta love it.

Then the question becomes how the void is filled. If there’s one thing I know about strikes, it’s that everyone hates the replacement(s).

I mean there probably won't really be anything. Indie films, I guess, but we will get the last anus trickle of what was already in the pipeline for at least a year.

If it went on longer than that? Maybe something. Doubt it though.

Both the Writers and the Actors are in the shit now at this point. They can't capitulate because if they did its over for them. the studios already know they can replace them, they just haven't gotten around to it yet.
All the studios need is A. Desperate writers and actors and B. Proof that AI leads to a viable return on their investment.

These writers and the actors could have made their own studios but they'll quickly discover how they would feel once the shoe is in the other foot.

The correct answer is apparently, "Yes, but actually no," assuming this gal has any authority. And assuming you might need to join SAG-AFTRA someday. Twitter I guess you Cosplay some nip anime shit, but I guess this is a threat for virtually anything out of Hollywood as long as the strike continues.

I was just watching a movie on Prime (a jason Statham called "Fortune" or some shit) and there is a scene with him and another guy on a private plane and Jason Statham ask "Are you a patriot?" And the other guy replies "I don't vote repiblican".

And I was like, what the fuck does that mean? And then I remember the writers strike and the scene made sense: it was written by a professional idiot.

Hollywood just pumps up trash and the people shoveling it think they are hot shit and want more money. Thing is, Hollywood is dying. It has no more money to give out.

On a personal note I rather pirate a movie than going to the cinemas. I rather watch one of those channels who tells you about a whole movie in 10 minutes than waste 2 hours watching it. I rather fuck around with AI so I can create a masterpiece where Chris Hansen becomes a Jedi and fight Sauron than watch a Hollywood movie.

Fuck hollywood. Hope they all get replaced by AI.
