In this case, it was an interview with some r*ddit dweebs that asked Swen basic questions regarding game mechanics and small spoilers. Why would I archive nerd talk that would be made irrelevant in a couple of days, with the game's release? Seems like a waste of time and space, and honestly, it makes me think you're kind of dumb for asking it.
Anyway, I haven't listened to that myself, I just got the bullet points from the larian forums.

One of the characters I have usually been making now are Tiefling paladins who are more or less the "anti-Screwtape" (If any of you have read that book) who loves and serves the Lord. I thought about getting a yohoho copy of the game and making a male Tiefling paladin who all the female companions try to get in his pants only for him to tell them; 'Begone thot! To be fair to Larian the ones who are really in control of the creative direction is WotC. There is this interview that took place at the Panel to Hell event where some activist type talks to Swen about how she hopes that the game will be political and that modern games need to reflect the politics of the real world. Swen told her that he doesn't care about that and just wants gamers to have fun. This is the exact polar opposite of WotC philosophy. WotC hates, and I really do mean HATES, D&D fans. This is a company that has, in the past year:

1. Pissed gamers off with the new OGL.
2. Sent the Pinkertons to some poor blokes house.
3. Stated that; "White men can't leave the hobby fast enough."
4. Race swapped the Lord of the Ring's characters for MTG.
5. Told people that Tolkien is racist and that they "fixed his work." ( )
6. Said in interviews that they greatly enjoyed emasculating the white male leads in the D&D movie.
7. Puts disclaimers about racisms and fascism in their books.
8. Have tried to force players to play how they want them to play.

And these are all just the ones on the top of my head. I'm sure there is more. WotC does not want to make products for fans. They want to make products for themselves and their degenerate friends group. This is because those fuckers still believe that the ESG money they are getting from Daddy Fink is going to last forever so they can make things for themselves instead of those pesky fans. As I stated in a pervious post, this game is going to have a major clash of visions. On one hand you will see Larian's vision of a game where they wanted to make a game fans will enjoy and on the other hand we will see parts of the game that feels like it was made solely for people working at WotC.

I was really looking forward to the game too. Larian have made some pretty decent RPG's and from interviews that Swen made it seemed like a passion project for them. To me I've always felt that the best works are ones that are passion projects. Should have known that WotC would have stuck their claws into the creative direction of the game and added political and fetish shit into the game. That has pretty much been their MO for the past 5 years.

I don't really get that feeling. Swen is autistic, sure, but I don't think he is soulless and malicious. You have to understand, D&D isn't really big in Europe as it is in North America. I learned from some TTRPG podcasters called Neckbeardia TTRPG (I would highly recommend their channel) that D&D isn't really big in Europe. It is war games and things like Warhammer that are big with Europeans. The D&D community in Europe is passionate but pretty small.
Swen seemed like he was one of those few Europeans that enjoyed D&D more then Warhammer. So here you have this guy, who always wanted to make a D&D game, it was always a dream passion project for him, and being told by the people who own the IP; "Yeah, you need to add a bunch of political and fetish shit into the game." I'm sure that this came as a shock for Swen but WotC seems like the type of company smarmy enough to say; "This is what is popular with fans in North America, so add it in."
For someone as autistic as Swen who, like many Europeans, probably doesn't pay much attention to the culture clash going on in America right now, he probably took what WotC said at face value and said; "Okay, if this is what fans in North America want. Guess I'll add it in."

I've been skimming through some of the early access content on YouTube and all the dialogue and narration are on like a 4th or 5th-grade reading level. This is a game for adults but it's been written for children.

Yeah, only indication to me that something was wrong in Denmark was Beamdog's involvement. BG:EE and BG2:EE add faggots and trannies as new, romanceable companions. Plus there was the tranny in Siege of Dragonspear. Otherwise, I sometimes go back and play some of the old games.
