There isn't a trashfire visible just yet, but there's a lot of smoke that's come out of nowhere:
  1. Kurt analyzing the judge's order and basically implying Nick was a hypocrite.
  2. Legal Vices streaming this trial with a large panel.
  3. LM taking some "joking" shots at Rekieta. What was interesting to me about this is that he spent a long time saying how the boost from appearing on Rekieta eventually fades out.
I could see this fizzling out, but the one thing that's clear is that the hierarchical structure of "LawTube" has changed.
It'll turn into a four-alarm conflagration if one or more of them grows enough of a pair to point out that Monty is not a pedo. Or, at least there's no credible evidence he is.

Basically, like Null has already done on both MATI, and now Monty's OP.

I still see Null being criticized in the comments of Elissa's clips channel, but I think their noseguarding claims are without merit. What Null has said is a far more damning rebuke than what even Kurt said. Kurt's criticism was centered around Nick seemingly doing a flip-flop on Anti-SLAAP. IIRC, he stopped short of saying Nick fucked up in saying what he said about Monty and daring Monty to sue him.

New trailer for the upcoming “Depp v. Heard” documentary on Netflix. It’s from “her side of the story”, and it’s probably gonna suck, but that’s not important.

I was watching it and… oh… wait a minute, I recognize that guy!
You know what, that's actually pretty cool. But now I'm wondering, if it is indeed meant to be favorable to her, if they're just going to play his greatest hits of insults and frame him a super misogynist responsible for a lot negative public opinion about her.

Yuck. I hope not for his families' sake. Every bit more I hear about this turd the worse I feel for his kids. I hope they don't end up screwed up.
my boy's famous, maybe i should hit him up... ... ey mang hows it goin got any change
With how his lawsuit with Montegraph is going (and his flagging superchat numbers) he is more likely to ask you for change.
I see this as testing the waters (regarding Nick). Also, great job painting a big fat target (pun not intended) on Kurt's back there, LM. It may not lead to anything but should people be surprised he's once again sandwiched himself between the Lawtube drama? It's good to see Kurt getting credit, but this was a rather shitty way to approach it.
Kurt might be a smart guy, but he has a horrible personality and is repulsive.
This is gonna be an interesting arc. I can only imagine a small surge in Rekeita viewers, only for everyone to stumble into all his degenerate shit. You're gonna be a small-town lawyer with a drug and sex problem, and the entire nation is going to know (and you're not even Hollywood). Congratulations Nick, you played yourself.
Not so sure it will be beneficial. Depending on how its framed it could lead to him getting yeeted of youtube for harassment.

This was Nick‘s mantle to lose. I’m probably not the only one who looked more favorably upon Nick back in the day, mostly by virtue of the fact that Low T. Douchette and the other hardcore #KickVic Law Twitter disciples were (are) such faggots. That’s a lot of unearned credit, and a canny operator would have been careful not to squander it.

Instead, well…This thread says it all.
Nick's early enemies being largely absolutely laughable dipshits is probably a big factor in some of his early victories. When you're up against people like lanDUI, Tonka, and the kick Vick assholes its relatively easy to look like a chad-philosopher-king in comparison.

Having had nothing better to do, I decided to check out Nick's appearance on last Saturday's Flashcast. Nick was very clearly tweaking out, twitching around like a schizoid bobblehead visibly seething every time somebody talks over him. Pardon the resolution, the panel was squeezed to the side for most of his appearance:
Also this was shortly after he got back from AFK, probably to do another bump because you can plainly see him wiping his nose off.

My personal favorite, which I almost missed because Nick was already long gone and I was sick of hearing that fat tongued drunk Flash stumble through super chats, was a callback to something Nick said three hours earlier:
More than likely it was just another farmer, but as time goes on, more and more people will realize that Nick is a degenerate has-been with a growing drug problem.

Is LawTube turning on Nick? That would make his vanity plate pretty awkward.
I wonder if they find the whole Pope thing obnoxious considering he's barely even a Law Deacon at this point.

At least PopeHat had a fairly notable career in First Amendment law before calling himself that.

The faces he pulls (and awkward attempts at sexual humor) are reminiscent of Kayla when she would go on Nick's show, especially the video you labelled "emoting like a silent film actor". One can't help but think of the various substances the Rekieta's imbibe (prescribed or otherwise).

Nick overall touches his face more than Kayla though, but that's due to his altered sense of touch from drug use.

Don't mind how I am incapable of clipping. Here's a timestamped link with full context included.

The "LawPope" thing was a joke, but it also wasn't a joke. Nick was the boss. His social media presence was so much bigger, relative to everyone else in the group, that he was the boss even if he didn't want to be, or at least publicly disclaimed the role.
I think there is enough evidence at this point that we can proudly say it is the latter. My premise: He must have desired the infamy, but he didn't want the pressure that came with the weight of a Pope Hat. Notice Nick was perfectly fine to be a team player so as long as he was the main energy in his adventuring while drunk anime. He most prefers to have the benefits of being the class act but without any of the fallout or downsides that come with the acquisition of said benefits.

Recall when he first claimed he was shifting from law content because it was becoming too boring, etc, and he didn't want to go back to his old content. Then that changed to him never being a law channel. Perhaps the competition was too hot on his trail, and we know how troublesome that heat allergy can be. I suspect he ruffled too many feathers in the community (orbiter, audience, clippers, etc) and so in "divorcing" Lawtube on paper by claiming he is "not covering law"/"not a law channel", he is removing any requirement to associate with that community, thus cut off from potential baggage. Perhaps some orbiters were a little too in the know, have seen an ugly side or simply the risk for a facade being broken in was too great. The expectations were certainly higher post-Depp and he's allergic to raised expectations as we've seen.

It makes a little bit more sense why he thought the contracts might have freed him from performance pressure, but only a little. He clearly needs that pressure to maintain a work ethic and a schedule.

I had the same thought. She does the facial impressions in person too. It's like her face is on Autotune.

That's a very, well, expressive face she has.

I think another factor people are not really mentioning is that these people in "lawtube" are probably fed up with Nick's audience too, as you can see in other clips posted above there isn't a single stream without someone in the chat "hey Nick is doing that" "Nick started his stream you should raid him" "Sorry I need to watch Nick" for a streamer shit like that is like someone insulting their mother.

Also as laughable as it is, these people try to be "serious" lawyers in the internet, and Rekieta offers the complete opposite, even the most loyal of his friends Good Lawgic gets visibly uncomfortable when he is trying to talk something serious with Nick and Nick suddenly drops a nasty sex joke.

As a last point, Nick always says he hates drama, that he keeps silent when something happens to avoid drama, but the reality is the complete opposite, he generates it, with Legal Bytes it was his and his panels comments the ones that actually created the drama (bunch of gay twitter posts too), his drunken streams with guests always end up in some kind of discussion or drama too, (just remember the big drama with uncivil law and megan fox), his retarded small drama with vtubers because of coomalot, and the biggest of all his over 100K retarded lawsuit with Montagraph (that is now creating more drama between "lawtube")

Basically these people thought they were being part of a new amazing trend of "serious lawyers reacts to", having Nick as the center because he already had some clout, just to realize their pope was just a degenerate clout chaser.

I remember someone in thread asking us to keep an eye out for a Branca stream. Since he was on the list of guests who distanced themselves from NickR.
It was more off the cuff, and Branca left before the day was over; being in Germany it was close to midnight for him. Outside of him nursing a bottle of wine and having a few moments, nothing too crazy. He shows up, they talk what's going on, they talk shit on midwesterners and how the suspect looks far beyond her age, compliment a couple of female witnesses, talk about how quickly the trial/witnesses are moving, and he leaves.

As for distancing himself, probably not entirely wrong after Nick's blow up. But they also say it's because Brance keeps daylight working hours while Nick wasn't covering court cases and was mostly active at night, when Branca sleeps. Seemed cordial enough and there is truth to what they agreed on why they never got together. But I'll admit, I'm a bit of a Branca fan, so you can consider me unreliable.

Im sure I don't understand the immense stress that comes from being a big YTber (oh wait... he isn't one) or a father of 5, and what-not, but it sure seems that there are plenty of people out there perfectly capable of handling this all and balancing it or... you know... hiring people to do it for them...

Viva Frei fits the big YT/stay-at-home dad profile just like Nick, except he's doing it in a wholesome and successful way.

Viva has a whole gaggle of elementary school-aged kids, but still manages to run a successful YT channel with Barnes.

During the trucker convoy where Viva raised his profile by streaming the protest live from Ottawa during the daytime, Freiheit would always have to cut his streams short because he is cucked to his wife and would have to drive the two hours like a madman back to Montreal to pick up his kids from school everyday at 3 pm.

That’s right, Rekieta appears not once, but twice in this trailer! At 0:32, and at 0:53.

Interesting that the documentarian chose Rekieta livestream clips over Emily Baker and Legal Bytes.

Nick was running a distant third in popularity during the Depp trial. It would make more sense to include Nick clips in a Kyle Rittenhouse documentary.

Given the documentary is pro-Heard, it's possible that they figure Nick makes a better cisgendered white male villain of the 3. Or as mentioned before, it could be Nick's associated with TUG.

It'll turn into a four-alarm conflagration if one or more of them grows enough of a pair to point out that Monty is not a pedo.

As I posted here and in the Lolsuit thread about two weeks ago, Andrea Burkhart either inadvertently or slyly called out Nick on a SCOTUS review with Kurt.

Paraphrased, she unsolicitedly brought up defamation and calling someone a pedophile without proof, commenting "it's not a legal defense to state that calling someone a pedophile is a matter of opinion. Do so and suffer the consequences ."

Kurt might be a smart guy, but he has a horrible personality and is repulsive.
He's basically Chris-chan with a law degree.

If they're trying to be seen as "serious" lawyers they could've fooled me. legalmindset for example is a manosphere-adjacent dramawhore sexpat, Kurt is an alcoholic autist who's one bad day away from going full Elliot Rodger, legalvices is a proud daydrinking degenerate, Joe is just an even more jewish balldo with an even more grating voice, etc. It's too early to say if there's any real "revolt" against balldo but then the thing they called "lawtube" was never really a community so much as a loose alliance of youtube shekelgoblins in the first place so even thinking of it as some sort of institution that has the ability to take a definite position is somewhat incoherent.

And with so many people telling Nick to course correct (and how to do it) too. Funny stuff.

A dramatic reenactment of the last few months in honor of Nick's dramatic decline:

You know I had a similar idea I wanted to do a photoshop of him as a pilot in a plane with Ethan Ralph as the copilot based off the Tenerife Airport Disaster, but I couldn't find any pictures of the Pilot and Co Pilot together for that in the cockpit. This was before he made amends with Ralph too.

I was there with you. I watched Rekieta on the regular up until around the Rittenhouse joining the channel for an interview I want to say hard to pinpoint been a while. That felt like a mess and I started to lose interest as he got less and less about law.
The Pippa stuff pretty much was the nail in the coffin for me. I didn't give a shit about him cause it was coomerlot, but when he stirred that pot of his own free volition instead of just staying out of it. Yeah I was done with the guy. Hard to believe I'm rooting for a 2D deranged rabbit girl, but here I am. God bless her.

I am still surprised he is going to an anime convention after her pretty much insulted all his anime fanbase along with Pippa fans. Those two communities are pretty much like an exact overlap.

"Kurt knows the law. Honestly Rekieta is winging it 95% of the time. He's just pulling shit out of his ass."
first of all, lm is not wrong about rekieta. but, second, lm always seems snake-like to me. i think if snaking on nick can benefit lm, he would do it.

lets see if lm continues to make shots at rekieta. especially since lm and drex does a pimpcast together.

If they're trying to be seen as "serious" lawyers they could've fooled me.
They lack true professionalism. I used to think some of the ones who actually practiced would be more educational.
I'll take Kurt over the Blackbelt Baldy Buttfucker any day of the week. How that useless Britbong cunt has a subscriber base three times the size of Kurt's is a complete mystery to me.
A personality and lack of crippling autism.

I was curious and had the opportunity to watch the LOCALS chat numbers during the last show. Average just under 100 and peak of 120-ish. This is the BEST chat in the interwebs...
