Twitch & Their Competitors / r/LivestreamFail / Live Streamer Community - Imitation of Hollywood

Added a mention of Asmongolds awful lifestyle with pictures of his room, screenshots of him admitting having to wipe the blood from his teeth against the wall, and a clip of his teeth rotting during a lifestream
Asmongold disgusts me the most. There's no reason why a man with as much money as he has should be living like a homeless person. A useable toothbrush costs like 75 fucking cents or it's free at dentists' offices. There's zero reason this weirdo can't do the bare minimum of keeping his teeth above the quality of a peasant from the 16th century.

god I hate these react leeches taking away views from the actual creators
The tweet that you mentioned got quote retweeted by a YouTuber SomeOrdinaryGamers aka Muthar which caused a spat between him and a xQc

He even made a video about it

Insert clock emoji for being late on this, but xQc responded to the drama.
Screen Shot 2023-08-01 at 8.48.05 PM.png

In the video, he...
  • Doesn't watch Mutahars video
  • Watches a 1 year old DarkViperAU video, the video in question being 40+ minutes long
  • Skips the entire first part of the video
  • Only ends up watching 9 minutes of the 40 minute video while he schizobabbles and enjoys some tasty word salad.
Intelligent as always, X.

DarkViperAU v. xQc
DarkViper made a response to this on one of his channels called "Viper Rambles", in which he agrees to debate xQc on the issue, and shares DMs of xQc asking for his Discord.

In which Viper responded with a huge essay.
Screen Shot 2023-08-01 at 8.57.33 PM.png
He explains the essay in his video more in depth, but the TL;DR/W is that he would be down to debate xQc, but Viper feels that if he has the same attention span as he does in his response video, Viper feels he would just be sitting their for hours explaining shit to him.

So, it might happen, but it also might not because xQc is so retarded.

He's probably right about xQc being a complete fucking retard. But it wouldn't hurt to simplify it and not write an essay. It reminds me of people writing pages and pages to prove that Dream cheated when the evidence is dead fucking simple and all the extra pages only served as more material for fanboys to argue with.

It's not complicated. If you reupload the entirety of someone else's video (even with your shitty reactions), that's blatant stealing. The viewer has no reason to watch the original if they watch yours. If you use only portions then that's more acceptable, and leaves some of the original video for the viewer to watch on their own.

Asmongold, xQc, Hasan, penguinz0, Ludwig and others all take the "reupload the entire fucking video" approach and should be put in a slow woodchipper feet first.

Those two especially have like a thousand fan channels constantly reuploading their reactions every second.

Hasan approves of them (except when it makes him look bad), Cr1TiKaL seems to be ok with them
That means those fan channels are getting the views and ad revenue now instead of the reactfags (besides what they got livestreaming other people's content on Twitch). Still stealing from the original creators either way.

Also, congrats on this thread getting moved out to IF!

There was also the sitewide dogpile onto Artesian Builds, the PC building company that had previously sponsored many streamers. If I'm remembering correctly, that entire situation was just caused by people seeing clips from Artesian's own livestream, saying "not a good look, sweaty", and tweeting them out of existence, lmao:
If we're talking about Artesian Builds, Gamers Nexus did some proper journalistic investigation in that topic. As in, they went out of their way to get the full story instead of rehashing whatever the fuck people on Twitter say. You know, by definition of what journalism is, or rather was.

I like how in 2015 there was huge push to stop this type of content , but know its just accepted on YouTube.
There a theory that the fan challenges donate of alot of money to have the streamer watch the video and they reupload that clip and get the ad sense from it. (maybe its dumb and not true)

xqc is a talentless retard who lacks the mental capacity to provide anything of value to the content he reacts to.

but even people who add considerable commentary and act like that's a free pass to leech off of other creator's content under the guise of "it's transformative" are just as bad. at the end of the day they're still taking content that took time, money, and effort over the course of days, weeks, or even months to produce, and then do nothing more than watch and talk about it. I keep seeing people suck asmongold's cock because, "well, he can take a 20 minute video and turn it into an hour!" an hour worth of effortless watching and commentary versus however long of planning, writing, and editing a video are not the same.

Exactly. It's not about how much you add, it's about how much you leave behind. If you take the entirety of a fucking video, then no one's going to watch the original!

All these reactfags know this, they just throw up cope after cope to be able to continue the grift. The sad part is that many of the creators they steal from believe them (including copes like "they're making me popular by reacting to me!"). It's also sad that there's no consequences for reactfag filth, even when people fight back like CGP Grey did. He copystriked Vlogging Through History's "reaction" but YouTube reinstated it even though it's blatant copyright infringement that reuploads the entirety of his video. I guess the bare minimum of "reacting" and adding commentary makes it transformative enough in their eyes.

This is true for almost every aspect of the internet these days. Pretty much every shitty thing we take for granted was at one point completely taboo, but they just instituted it anyway and now we’re stuck with it.

The biggest thing about these Youtubers and Twitch streamers is how much you can tell they seethe that they're not famous enough. Every single one of them.
You can see when you get to a certain point of fame these ecelebs start to feel entitled to a new level of stardom that they can never attain. They try to break into acting, and music, and fashion, but they can literally never be anything other than a immensely popular Twitch Streamer; and that eats them up inside in a way that no amount of money in the world can fix. They just need more fame. It probably explains why they hate their audiences so much. To them an audience is just stepping stone, and are the literal embodiment of the thing holding them back.
