I don't know. Fully rendered 3D art seems like it'd be... simpler then a game? For one, there's no gameplay mechanics to mess up. But on the other hand, she'd be the producer of this trainwreck.

Then again, it'd be a trainwreck that after initial release, all she'd need is a spindle of blank dvds and a burner to make more so she can sell them out of the back of her car after those feminism symposiums she's always going too.

Man, she would've been better off making it an OVA, wouldn't she?
Maybe? Problem is that Wu is still a shit writer and director. The bad gameplay segments would then be bad action sequences, the characters would still be flat and unlikable, the setting would still be uninspired, and the entire story would still have no appeal to anyone other than Brianna Wu.

Wu, you're already racing to the bottom in more ways than you could possibly imagine.

Wait, didn't John say last week that he was going to release both the iOS and Steam versions the same week? Jesus, John, get your shit together.

...wasn't the "release" going to be in two weeks a week ago? And the PC version is more expensive than the iOS version...why?

Who even knows anymore?! What are dates?

SteamDB doesn't know of any changes.

Maybe the plan is to release the iOS version, run some false flag harassment, then claim that she has to cancel the Steam version for the safety of "her team".
That actually sounds really plausible if you take history into account. There's already been a lot of "GG is harrassing us non-stop and release is difficult!" in the past.

Screenwriting has about 70 years of history to it at this point, and we know good from bad. On the other hand, games writing is still incredibly amateurish even in huge, multi-million dollar AAA releases. There's whole worlds of slop that we excuse if the game is good enough.

Wu's writing wouldn't pass muster in a student film project. There's absolutely no way for someone like Wu to make any money from animation, and she knows it. She even has a failed company to prove the point. She's tried animation, text, even a radio play. I think she sees games as the medium with the lowest quality bar to finally get her characters in front of a paying audience.

If they don't like video games, then why are they doing video games? Why do they care about video games? It's like they see something that's popular, then decide they want some of that sweet sweet interactive entertainment bux and go after it like a starving polar that found a baby seal!

And what's worse, people are letting them do it! People are letting them turn the medium into their little indie art house movie scene and producing things that DON'T need to be interactive!

Pffft, the team at this point is Brianna... and maybe Frank (but he seems to have the professional integrity not to put his name on such a project).

BTW, comparable games around that price point on iOS:

https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/severed/id972657175?mt=8 (Severed, which is a great game)

https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/minecraft-pocket-edition/id479516143?mt=8 (Minecraft)

https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/gra...fer&utm_content=buffer84234&utm_medium=google (GTA: San Andreas)

https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/monument-valley/id728293409?mt=8 (Monument Valley, indie developer if I'm not mistaken)

John, your game needs to be priced $1.99. No one will pay $6 for it.

Plus the re-release of the iOS version sort of came out of the blue lately. It was all about Steam release up till the people on Kickstarter started to complain.

Steam is the worst place for her to release the game. Refunds are incredibly easy to obtain so anyone can test out her game. It can be modded. And she has no control over the reviews that come out. Either that or she just never was able to get the game to work on PC (as opposed to iOS which the original developers did get to work) and she can't fix it on her own.

Wu dumping tons of money into pay to win shit, just so she can brag about being the 'best player' in a game no one will care about in 6 months.
She bought an overpriced PC, a Vive and a Rift and apparently hasn't touched those after the novelty wore off.
And I bet she paid with Franks money some of her flights and hotel rooms to visit some idiotic conferences, to push her even more idiotic narrative.

Do you really think she knows the first thing about the value of money?
