So to get back on topic: Do you think there's a equivalent increase of spinsters to the seemingly increasing number of male incels?

Incel is an attitude. There are some hideous men who manage to find girlfriends and wives, and it’s because they treat women with dignity, are genuinely funny and intelligent, and work hard and take accountability for their actions. A lot of unmarried men I have met have incredibly high standards for women and believe that all women are essentially golddiggers out for their “wealth.” If we are interested in a man and he starts espousing these beliefs, we are going to run the other way. If we have doubts, our girlfriends will tell us these are major red flags. We can sniff out the incel.

Others do have high standards for the men they wish to date - not often related to looks, as is more common amongst the incel man, but more about personality, which the men around her fail to meet. Still others are independent women who prefer the freedom of single life. Society doesn’t make it easy for unmarried women — it’s harder to acquire wealth and buy a home without a husband. Women tend to carry more significant student debt and make less money, even with graduate degrees. But we also have more choices now that we can work independently and make and keep our own money. So, in my experience, women choose spinsterhood more often than it is thrust upon them.

Definitely. I had a friend who was desperate for marriage and children, and was reasonaly attractive too, but only got engaged for the first time at age forty. Despite having massive deficits both as a potential spouse and future mother, she remained adamant that she had to maintain her 'standards' and there was nothing anyone could say or do to convince her that she either needed to lower her expectations or completely change the way she lived. She may have finally lowered her standards as it happens; she came up on my feed with a boast that she'd finally gotten engaged in Paris. I decided to go sticky beak on her fiancee's page and it was full of Only Fans advertisements for multiple pornographic models he was following. Soooooo... yeah. Good luck to her, I suppose.

I would doubt this a bit, most people aren't incels cause of attitudinal problems but more cause of just not having any luck of getting or holding a woman's attention or they have a different set of standards. I also wouldn't say women are blameless cause women are just vapid and attention less from personal experience, sorry to say. They're either whiners, misandrists, commie feminists, baiters, coomers, hos or all of the above. KF is the first place where I encountered women who can talk in more than two words and emojis, did more than emotional rants and displayed signs of high intelligence. But not all women are like that, not even most of them granted most men are also smelly dude bros with neckbeards, consumerist soyjacks, coomers, toxic retards or all the above but if I were to have a wife or gf I expect her to be relatively normal, committed and intelligent, doesn't necessarily have to share interests or anything like that and I'm sure there's a section of women who want the same from a man. It's more of societal standards shifting drastically and the behaviors of both sexes are vastly different and stupid than what they were so they stop forming relationships and having positive interactions with each other.

I don't know if most male virgins are "incels" if we're going by that definition but it is an interesting conclusion that you suppose that spinsterhood is a chosen path rather than something that happens to you.

I've never cared for spinsters. Older women who are mothers and grandmothers are nice since they tend to act as good wingmen and like being charmed and talked to. Spinsters tend to rub me the wrong way from the start and i had one ruin a relationship i was invested in.

About ten years ago I met a woman who had recently left an order of nuns where she had dwelt for most of her adult life. She was quite open about being a lesbian, but she had decided to remain single and abstainate as a commitment to her God. I suspect that a great many old school spinsters were like this. Lesbians, or women who wanted to devote themselves to God without seclusion, or both.

Women who actually get STEM degrees instead of wasting their lives getting psych or social work degrees have major companies falling all over themselves to hire them. Want to get fast-tracked to management? Get an aerospace engineering degree and have a vagina. I guarantee you that you will be making over $100K well before your male peers do.

I’m neutral on spinsters despite knowing a few over time. On one hand I like how they take responsibility and independence for themselves and know what they want and work in ways they find comfortable. Hopefully you can get the Scholarships too, I never took advantage of any of those but I didn't go to 4 year school. I only did like 2 years of community college and while it was sorta fun I never fully intended to go to actual college. All I ever wanted to do all my life was dig holes, chop down trees, and hit rocks till they break. I just like working with my hands a lot more than with my head, but you just gotta do what you enjoy the most.

Freaking me and my buddy there used to joke among ourselves on who was the hottest nun. Well one day this southern one brought in an old picture of her in like a 50s bathing suit and she was very solidly good looking lol... I feel like nunship will die out in my lifetime and that's just sad

She was the one who rescued and rehabilitated our old pit before we adopted her, and that dog remembered her for the rest of her life and would always get excited whenever they reunited.

She seems to have a pretty decent job and isn't completely hated by the rest of the relatives. Although my dad hates her, not because she's a spinster but because she was always a twat to him.
