Yeah that's the problem with WV. Pretty much the only place that he wouldn't have that problem is Morgantown, but that's not really remote anymore. Plus its where a shitton of glowies pretend to not live.

I should have been more clear. I didn't mean it has no infrastructure. I meant there was no road or air access. The no roads part is obvious, while the heliport is very much private flights only.
 
I'm posting this so those that may have the inclination could use. There is a way to buy cheap useless to mostly useless property. It is called a Surplus Sale. It is the last measure of a tax sale the governments usually have. There are other reasons to have a property on the surplus list, but most of them are tax liens that had no bidders. There is a way for some kiwis that could buy a piece of land for a couple thousand dollars. It uses this law https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Surplus_Property_Act. It has a great benifit of no morgage debt and no back taxes. Your auction bid is the final price for the property. The catch is that most properties are utterly undesirable, but they are a physical address.

The next step and slightly more expensive is a tax certificate sale. It has a chance of the property being bought back by the original owner. Then there is a tax lien sale and this is the most expensive and most likely to have the property bought back by the original owner.
The process for back taxes is usually this.
  • Gov. Letters for tax payment
  • Tax Lien Sale (most investors and desirable properties)
  • Tax Certificate Sale
  • Tax Surplus Sale (least investors and desirable properties)
Everything but the tax surplus has the option of the tax owners of paying off the taxes one way or another.

I’ve seen parcels of land nearby with nothing on them that sell for $10,000 or less. I’m sure similar lots are available throughout the US. Why not purchase a cheap piece of land near where one or more willing participants are based out of and stick nothing but a video monitored lockbox mail unit on it? You’d have a more permanent solution and base to receive mail/servicing and the RA would be less exposed to near do wells.

I’d be willing to offer my help, but I cannot expose my home to the ire of the mentally ill.

They're going to go after the person much harder than the property. While it's probably a good idea to have it be somewhere remote, both for security and to be cheap, the main problem is that we need a volunteer who is willing to self-dox and be publicly associated with the site.

Most forms of IRL intimidation are either easy enough to ignore or illegal enough to actually be prosecuted, especially in red parts of the country. The main problem is that you and your family will be doxed and harassed, you'll lose your job, and be on their shitlist forever. You will likely be subject to significantly more harassment than the previous RAs because those were large firms refusing (for a time) to cancel a client; volunteering to become the RA at this point will be taken as active endorsement, not a firm offering a commodity. Even more so if they perceive this as the current "weakest point" to attack than before when it was not the primary target.

Having a common name and no online presence will help a lot, but they're going to have the address, which you'll presumably need to live nearby. How many Bob Smiths are there in a remote island of ~700? Probably the one that works at the gas station franchise; time to call HQ and mention his association with terrorism.

You'll need someone with only local dependencies/relationships; a retiree, they own their gas station, etc. Even so, they're going to need to be on board ideologically; you can't pay enough to be worth it. The ideal candidate isn't likely to be someone you meet online. It would also probably be a good idea for the RA to form a company that makes their services publicly available. There still needs to be an actual human associated with the service, but that small protection might make the difference against marginal cancellation attempts.

I think a lot of the advice in this thread is good advice, but fails to account for the sheer level of resources the enemy can bring to bear. If things were, e.g., 1/10 as intense, I think most of them would work, but then the old RA wouldn't have quit. Think about all the providers who were gung-ho to host the farms, only to fold a day or two later. They all underestimated it too.

Other than Null moving back to the US to live in a shack somewhere, the best bet is probably to find someone already so thoroughly cancelled they have nothing to lose and a bone to pick. Or failing that, someone insane. Maybe KingCobraJS really is the best we can do. It is deeply concerning that even lawyers won't consider it.

Newfag but seriously the Tribe thing will work. Just try to make sure it's a federally recognized one. If you have to do something more creative that will work but federally recognized is how you prevent swatting since the state police legally can't go on the reservation to begin with. Look for a bumble fuck Tribe in the Plains or Midwest which has little or no Internet access but is looking for some money.

I mean the general reservation. The Tribal HQ will have Internet just I would look for the boonies for political cover. But Indian Tribal sovereignty is so unique in the United States it opens up a lot of options.
