If what you're saying is true, their site does not reflect those change at all. How recent was that change?Actually they recently changed the rules so you no longer have to use your real name. Huge coincidence, I know.

In February. They probably just forgot to update it. Here's the commit from Linus Torvalds himself (archive). If what you're saying is true, their site does not reflect those change at all. How recent was that change?
So this is basically so that troons can use their fake names? In February. They probably just forgot to update it. Here's the commit from Linus Torvalds himself (archive).
Correct. And probably specifically so Hector Martin can commit as Asahi Lina instead of his real identity. So this is basically so that troons can use their fake names?
ngl, Hector strongarming Torvalds into allowing him to contribute as a v-tuber is incredibly funny. He gets points for that.Correct. And probably specifically so Hector Martin can commit as Asahi Lina instead of his real identity.
I expect it's more than that, and is a part of a broader drive to be "inclusive". Even back in the days of Ward Cunningham's wiki, real names was a controversial policy (see discussion). Many people have reasons for not feeling safe sharing their name online. It is often argued that women in particular are less likely to contribute if they have to expose their identities to the whole world, and female underrepresentation has always been one of the largest political issues in tech.So this is basically so that troons can use their fake names?
Not sure if this was mentioned already, but he's also strongarming Linux kernel developers into accepting contributions in his way, by using the fact that Linus himself owns an M2 Macngl, Hector strongarming Torvalds into allowing him to contribute as a v-tuber is incredibly funny. Years ago, I was larping as a guy in Linux forums because otherwise people there were treating women like children and tried to m'lady their way into my DMs to explain to me what a terminal is. Nowadays I don't put my real name on anything tech-involved because I'm scared people would think I'm a trannyIt is often argued that women in particular are less likely to contribute if they have to expose their identities to the whole world, and female underrepresentation has always been one of the largest political issues in tech.
Whenever I see a female name posting autistically about anything tech-related I don't even bother checking if it's a tranny, because it is, 100% of the time. No woman ever had strong feelings about tiling window managers or hypervisors.Nowadays I don't put my real name on anything tech-involved because I'm scared people would think I'm a tranny![]()
You know who else has an account here? David Kirk Ginder.I think even most Kiwifarmers doesn't know Rossmann has an account, I remember when it was mentioned a few pages ago, people were actually surprised (me included). Hector loves spending time with us, he's more of a Kiwi than Louis <3
Emphasis on has. He's still not dead. You know who else has an account here? David Kirk Ginder.
Remember, the Open Source "community" is so fucked up that it is full of people who make rms look comparatively normal, a literal autist who eats his own toejam. It never ceases to amaze me how much self described "liberals" and "progressives" online lick the corporate boot and how they will attack people who discourage that behavior. Open Source is full of insufferable people.
RMS didn't sperg about his communism in open source aside from the open source philosophy(which is inherently driven by selfishness lmao). You wouldn't know about his retarded opinions unless you visited his website.Remember, the Open Source "community" is so fucked up that it is full of people who make rms look comparatively normal, a literal autist who eats his own toejam.
More like FEDCON nowdaysDEFCON has changed for the worse due to this as well.
Weed is legal in Nevada now, so here's my simple solution to the fed problem: every entry pass for DEFCON comes with a free joint, and you have to smoke it in front of witnesses before you get in the door.More like FEDCON nowdays

I wonder how many of those guys I've encountered are troons by now.
Depends upon different distros surprisingly. As an example, Arch and Gentoo Linux communities are filled with faggots and trannies while distros such as Artix and Void Linux are filled with based shitposters. (though sadly troons are also targetting those places, however the gatekeepers aren't buying into their bullshit for now)>Linux
Yeah, all of them is my guess.
Robert Conquest's Law of Open Source:(though sadly troons are also targetting those places, however the gatekeepers aren't buying into their bullshit for now)
the more he does it the more i am starting to think byuu was either never a real person to begin with or just persona used by hector. just the way he always brings it up as a means to discredit people he dislikes comes off very suspect. Is he going to use (((byuu's death))) as an argument every time something inconveniences him now? He sounds so pathetic mentioning it just to own some retard on the web.
Pretty sure they are separate people. They have different pictures.the more he does it the more i am starting to think byuu was either never a real person to begin with or just persona used by hector. just the way he always brings it up as a means to discredit people he dislikes comes off very suspect.
