Before Current Year, "racism" usually meant really hating on people of other races. So "hear both sides" wasn't a thing then.

Trad racism means believing people of a race are superior to another by default. That was a very complex formulation which hinged on the idea that different races were different species and not different subspecies, like gorilla and chimpanzee, not like African elephant and asian elephant. This led to evaluation of differentiation in physiognomy, capabilities, progress etc which a lot of far right people phrase as "if black people were equal why didn't they come up with civilization and technology at the same time or earlier" which on a surface level might not have an answer but complex analyses have shown that it was probably due to several environmental factors like location, climate, survival requirements and the like instead of intrinsic characteristics. This superiority complex is different from xenophobia which is an inherent survival mechanism to prevent infiltration, cultural subversion, competition for resources and ultimately extinction. Xenophobia is "fear of the outsider" which before globalism and cross continental travel referred to fear of other races. This is what contributes to stuff like the great replacement and white genocide. It's not a completely far fetched idea because animal groups behave this way even animal groups of the same species and sometimes same subspecies. The cane toad is a good example of an animal which destroyed a foreign environment and foreign wildlife by overpopulation and consumption of resources once it was introduced in the foreign environment, I think Australia New zealand. Xenophobia is almost always completely justified even if it has no material functional evidence because it's a biological instinct and in modern times more than enough evidence with complete ruination and subversion of places like Japan, Usa and the UK. Globalists try to lump xenophobia in with racism because it stands in their way. Wokeists and sjws also do the same without knowing what xenophobia is or the stuff about it. Completely ignoring politics and policy studying these on a complex level shows more than "privilege+power" nonsense which is a Marxist social construct trying to override scientific sociological concepts of racism and adjacent concepts. Lot of liberals and western centrists want to get rid of xenophobia because it's a bigoted concept and culture should be a unifying factor, which is fair. But the problem with that is the biological aspect where there exists a significant chance of two subspecies outcompeteing and outbreeding each other when allowed to exist in the same environment and ethnicity here refers to both race and culture. So while cultural osmosis should be okay, ethnic preservationism should also be okay otherwise we're gonna end up with a completely Afro Afghan UK, a completely American Japan and the like as certain races of people gravitate on mass to comfortable profitable habitats, one might call it biological colonialism. Also when communists and globalists refer to equality, they refer to similarity. They don't want an equal set of rules for entities, they want to eliminate all the differences between said entities even if it's an intrinsic characteristic, destructively if required.

I wouldn’t even call it Identity Politics, it’s either pure self-interest or outright anti-white. It’s one thing to say what’s happened here is disrespectful to the Maori culture, and another to say white Europeans have no culture at all, which is what many are doing here. Not trying to pick on you specifically, but I loathe this retort. It's not so much that they hate white culture, it's that they hate white people and are just too pussy to say it in some cases and in other cases smart enough to gaslight people by pretending that they don't mean the physical, just the conceptual. They want to take what people have and they know that white people won't do shit to stop their governments from appropriating and redistributing their capital and their homelands to these people.
With how long the culture of the acceptability of anti-whitism has been in vogue they know that they can run these grifts of whining about how bad whitey is while facing no repercussions for it. As the demographics continue to shift, especially with the ongoing boomer die off and younger whites being steeped in self hatred and minority worship, these cries of victimhood will increasingly take on a retributive tone and yet many deluded whites will continue to arrogantly roll their eyes at such a proposition.
