It's one of the few cable networks that has remained true to its original purpose: classic cinema, uncut and unaltered, no commercial breaks (or in fact any ads for anything outside of the network itself). When practically no other networks even bother airing a movie made before the 80s anymore, it's a diamond in the rough. People are concerned for its future because of Zaslav's rampant cost-cutting measures, where they believe he might get rid of it because it's not bringing in more money, or alternatively ruin it to get more money out of it by adding commercials.

The Flash, meanwhile, was ridiculously over budget and flopped in theaters, and I doubt home video sales are going to turn that around in a meaningful way. It's a good illustration of Hollywood's constant pursuit of short-term gains over long-term success. It's one instance where I'll half-heartedly agree with Bobby; Zaslav is a businessman first, and someone who's only concerned with numbers isn't necessarily going to understand the importance of something smaller.

Not having watched the videos, is it really that wrong to suggest that enslaved Africans had it better than if they'd remained in Africa? Like, not to suggest slavery is actually good or anything, there's a reason we stopped, but to deny that America is a much better place to live is just asinine. I guarantee you, if you asked a hundred black people if they would rather go live in Africa, every single one of them would say hell no.
