And people were saying that the 2020 election could be sent to the SC back when the drama was fresh. And that was BEFORE Biden had a justice pick and AFTER Trump had his picks confirmed.

What makes you think they’ll take the case this time?
If you believe corner gossip that leaked after they refused to intervene against Biden stealing the election, Roberts basically BULLIED a good chunk of the conservative justices to stab Trump in the back, citing that Roberts was a craven cuck TERRIFIED of riots and being accused of "giving the Presidency to Trump" by the corrupt media. Right down to telling Thomas point blank that Roberts didn't want another 2000 Bush vs Gore making HIS court look bad and claiming that "back then you didn't have liberals threatening to burn cities to the ground" if they didn't get their way.

Ideally, the rest of the conservative justices now see what caving to Roberts and his cowardly cuck obsession with his and his alone's legacy and being liked by the DC elite, got the country and will tell Roberts to go fuck himself and actually smite Biden down this time in a bid to save Democracy from monsters like Biden and cowardly cunts like Roberts.

I can't remember if it was JosephStalin or JetFuelJohnny that said you want your troops loudly grumbling instead of in little groups muttering together that quickly shuts up when someone higher up passes by?

That is a US Army rule of thumb on how to gauge morale going back to the revolutionary war, and it is a known technique to manage and defuse tensions among troops going back to Sun Tzu.

Kind of US politics adjacent, but I haven't flown in a while so I'm shocked at how frequent delays and cancellations are now on a random non-holiday travel week here in the US. Had read about it in the news but had to experience it first hand to believe it.

Yet another sign that abandoning merit based hiring and focusing on DEI at all levels is causing societal breakdowns.

Our airlines hub based system only works if there is a small number of delays in the system. Past a certain threshold delays and cancellations cause an amplification feedback that breaks the system. How embarrassing for a first world nation.

Things will get worse, probably much worse before (if) things turn around. Just glad I can use a lounge to escape the rude hordes.

I wonder what will happen during holidays then? Thanksgiving is just around the corner

I love reminding the Leftists that it was the Vietnam War, and NOBODY wanted to go to that shit show.

All of their idols sure as shit dodged the draft or escaped.

Plus, I can dust off the whole "Bone spurs can result in you getting medically separated from service. Foot bone spurs prevent you from marching. He'd have just been medically separated in Basic Training."

It's funny to hear leftists screech about that one.

The left's been trying to whitewash their role in starting/escalating Vietnam and blame Nixon 100% for Vietnam ever since the tapes leaked that Nixon meddled in the peace talks in 1968 via illegal wire taps LBJ had gone on spying on Nixon. Which is why, ironically, the left shitted all over the Ken Burns Vietnam War documentary series as it basically shattered the LBJ Reputation Restoration Project and presented Nixon in a VERY favorable light in relations to his involvement in the Vietnam War and even white knighted his meddling by exposing the fact that LBJ was doing even worse meddling spying on Nixon illegally.

Honestly? Ted Cruz has a shot. The Democrats would absolutely flip their lid at the GOP getting "first Hispanic VP", Texas would be an even more guaranteed lock yet because the Dems can't help but throw good money after bad they'd dump a goddamn fortune into Texas to desperately keep up the façade that its going to go blue any election now. He's got a lot of ties in the Senate and could do a decent job handling the more... sensitive ones there, and before anyone asks, yes he's a snake, but I see decent chances of him becoming Trump's snake so long as the man can lay down the law on him. With him out of the Senate Abbott gets to appoint his successor, and Abbott is starting to come around to the MAGA way of doing things. He's kept up the busings despite these places screeching about how they're overwhelmed, probably because nothing is music to a Texan's ears quite like the impotent howling of New York City.

Politically Cruz is probably the best choice for Trump. Not the lolsiest (since that would be Ye), but still a solid one.

Cruz would be a bad choice if only because the GOP can't really lose a person in the Senate PLUS the fact that I can easily see Cruz selling out to the deep state ala LBJ giving his consent to the deep state killing Kennedy in exchange for the Presidency.

You couldn't pay me enough to travel during the holidays even back in the good ole days of working infrastructure.

I would bet on nightmare delays, unsanitary and crowded holding pens at the airports for the stranded niggercattle, and zero mention of the administration that shant be named being in charge.

I was in the Phoenix airport not too long ago and I saw a massive banner for American Airlines saying they are giving $40,000 sign on bonuses for pilots. For years, these companies were happy that white guys were retiring en masse so they could replace stale pale males with vibrant pilots that’ll bring diverse perspectives to flying a plane. Except diverse pilots, or any position really, suck ass and didn’t expect people to rely on them. They just thought they’d stand around, act important, and be given a fat paycheck. A lot of diverse hires are simply not up to the task and will bail out when the going gets tough. Executive management is loath to admit this so they’re just going to keep pretending the solution is that every position and every location needs to look like a Benetton ad.

I'm pretty sure that was Johnny.

Things have hit an interesting point.

One of the things they teach you in leadership schools is simple: As long as the peons are bitching openly about shit that can't be changed, everything is fine. It's a peon's God given right to complain, after all. However, when they get into small groups and mumble/whisper/talk quietly to each other, going silent or changing the subject when someone in authority is near, THEN you have a fucking problem.

The problem we're seeing with the current culture and administrations is that they think that forcing everyone to mumble to each other and be quiet, or even silencing those people, makes the 'bad think' go away.

The people who are complaining loudly are complaining about dumb shit and wouldn't be a worry anyway. The people mumbling are the people you don't want mumbling. It's online and in real life.

Oh well, not my problem. I'm just a retard posting on a forum full of retarded faggots.

General rule of thumb for soldiers bitching is if they're bitching about the way the brass is doing things, that's fine and let it go, within reason. If they're bitching about the things the brass are doing period, you gotta step in. Or, it's already too late to step in

Lizardman Pence tries to pretend to be a normal human, fails.

On top of not even selecting a gas type and actually pumping gas, he says his energy plan will make America energy independent by 2040. Bitch please, Trump did it in three years.
I know he's polling worse than meatball, but he should at least have an editor go in and take out the beeping sounds. This is the kind of low energy shit even Jeb! wouldn't have been caught doing.
I could've done a better job making this ad. I would've had him walk in with a hundred dollar bill and prepay for his pump. I'd probably have him shake hands and maybe get a picture or two with social media. Then I'd go out and film him pumping gas while he said what he said. The ad would end with a jump cut to the fuel pump shutting off and him shaking his head in disapproval at the price.

I'm pretty sure that was Johnny.
Tbh I'm in an area where the authority figures are part of the conversation but that is a very new thing for me, and I've noticed a lot more of this "small groups of people who gather together and openly discuss the possibility of a boog with a side of a loo" going on. I knew when I moved that the politics of the area were different, but pre-coofmania and pre-everything else none of the people currently running their mouth ever really talked politics at the office. It was almost like an agreed upon thing, we are all professionals, we just avoided it other than occasionally cracking a joke.
But lately? Holy shit it's completely different. Soccer moms, career professionals, even admin staff are now at the point where at least once a week I'll overhear them openly discussing this shit in the office on slow days. Because there's only one person in the office who follows the status quo, no one really bothers shutting up because they don't feel the need to, but I imagine if things have changed this drastically among people who already agree with one another it's a powder keg in a lot of other places.
