Actually, IIRC, Chuck Huber was Nick's "inside guy" at Funimation, and may have provided some additional dirt, but the issue there is that after Chupp dismissed the lawsuit, Chuck freaked out and started kissing up to KickVic. I don't even think he and Nick are on speaking terms anymore. Nick once launched into a huge rant about Huber on his show (a transcript is here courtesy of @The Mass Shooter Ron Soye).
The other issue is that Chuck isn't exactly the most... trustworthy... of witnesses. He literally believes the Earth is flat and that 9/11 was an elaborate hoax. If Nick was counting on him, I don't think he would have provided much of anything that would be seen as particularly credible.
So, Nick might not have outright lied so much as he foolishly oversold what he thought he had access to but ultimately didn't.

That seems like too much work though. So, as far as I'm concerned, you are right. He's certainly never owned up to any of his major mistakes.
I think the major reason why is that, until somewhat recently, Nick has never really had to pay for a mistake. Also, everyone around him just sorta helped cover his ass. Nick came from money, and grew to take his old audience for granted. Humble people admit when they fuck up. Nick is anything but humble. His two biggest traits are arrogance and hubris.

I think the only way Nick would ever learn a lesson from all this is if he has to pay substantial damages to Monty, or has to apologize to Monty, or loses his Rumble contract, or something majorly embarrassing and/or costly like that.
