There is no excuse for what Chris has done and what he has become, but the notion that the shit he went through had no effect on him or reinforced his behavior is farcical.
It's like the saying goes. Mental illness is not your fault, but it is your responsibility.
The past few months have been pretty clear evidence in support of this. All evidence we have suggests that there have been no public freakouts or self-destructive online behavior. Chris also looks in better physical shape, looking less sickly with better hygiene. There are very basic things, but they are things that weren't the case before. It's likely that much of this is partially the result of some sort of restrictions limiting the ability to do these things, but it shows that Chris can be better. Still wearing the medallion, Chris is obviously still very weird. However, if given similar attention in the past, Chris may not have actively destroyed his life on such a regular basis.

Would Chris and his lawyer really wanna go that route? Chris definitely but his public attorney probably wants to wash his hands of this shitshow. He’s one of the few people in Christory who managed to come out untrolled and unharmed
The whole point of going for the deferred disposition is because it means that if Chris complied with all the conditions of the bond - and we have no reason to believe he didn't - the proceedings against him can be dismissed with no conviction recorded, so they very clearly have no interest in anything at all which would extend the involvement of Chris with the courts for any reason.

This isn't just a Chris problem, but Chris had many different points to nip it in the bud and turn it around. I feel sorry for young Chris, thrust into a world he was never prepared for and had no real way of handling.

I feel nothing but contempt for Chris at any point post "She came for CWC" which should have been the first and last wake up call for him. Instead, he made himself the victim and from that point forward, the slope gets real slippery until it turns to a cliff.
I'm in the same boat. When he was a kid-kid, if Borb and Bob had of got him some actual autism intervention he probably wouldn't have turned out the way he did. I know there wasn't much in the 80's and 90s, but it was better than nothing. As far as I know all snorlax and the lumberjack signed off on was speech therapy. I know Bob and Barb probably had a like 1940s idea of mental health and feared Chris would end up locked up in a brick asylum for the rest of his life.
A lot of people forget that Chris even admitted to Meghan that he drew the picture that burnt the bridge with her "So he wouldn't do anything stupid". I know Meghan was fleecing him for ebay shit, but even a 'tist should know people generally don't like thinly veiled rape threats.

i cant really blame them, mental care has always been a fucking death sentence. we think its any better now since we no longer see loony bins and straightjackets, but id argue "care homes", psychopathic tiktok nurses and pill cocktails arent much better

if anything, being institutionalized and medicated might just be a worse sentence than just being thrown into prison for a few years, grinding some brewing skills in the cell toilet and getting to see Big Boris' dick up close

Nah, he had to develop that ego and self importance. People don't just come with that shit preinstalled. The closest you can get is sociopathy, and Chris certainly doesn't have that.

I think this is closer to the correct answer. In the end, Bob just sat down in the horde and let the bedbugs and garbage kill him. I also think the problem is with society in general. Chris had multiple forks in the road where examples could have been set and aggravating factors just didn't allow it.

1. The judicial system let him walk constantly on his autism card.
2. His mother who wanted to coddle him when he was young, and then kept him close in her twilight years because she didn't want to end up in a nursing home. Not to mention using him to get money from the weens on the internet.
3. The weens that reinforced his delusions to the point he let them grow to godhood while also giving him a victim complex that he further used to justify his terrible behavior.

This isn't just a Chris problem, but Chris had many different points to nip it in the bud and turn it around. I feel sorry for young Chris, thrust into a world he was never prepared for and had no real way of handling.

Chris isn’t really a threat to others at this point more than an opportunistic weakling, I think there is a little bit of Chris in all of us in the way that we can all be bullied by someone or feel at ends that we don’t fit and in and what to feel superior to others.

However when the eyes are turned and we really want to give Into our own sick desires we want to assert dominance over somebody else often we will go out of our way. Chris is absolutely responsible for his outcome because there are many MANY times he simply could have stepped away from the computer and be less of a retard at any point. But to say that Chris isn’t the result of some other stupid and separate weens and situations out of his control is farcical.

I do wonder though, is Chris the worst possible version of himself that he can be or could anything have gone differently he could have turned out even more depraved? Like if he had just been raised by Barbara entirely would he have been even more self destructive and selfish from an early age?

If my time on Earth has taught me anything, it's that things can always be worse.

I know there isn't an easy fix. Go to any city of over like 50k and you'll see the crazy homeless people that would have been locked up say 30 or 40 years ago everywhere. I'm not sure. Both the penal system and the long term mental health system aren't pretty. Getting sectioned might be worse for Chris, but he'd probably be medicated up to the gills so it's not like he'd even be aware of what's going on.

Bob did for a while at least try to keep him grounded in reality. He had that little workshop that didn't get used as much as he would have liked and I'm sure he tried to instill some discipline and morals into Chris. Cole to my knowledge seemed to be raised by Borb and her revolving doors of boyfriends and he turned out... ehh... fine more or less. At least he hasn't fucked any senior citizens to my knowledge.

In all my years of judging, I have never heard before
Of someone more deserving of the full penalty of law
The way you made her suffer, your exquisite wife/mother
Fills me with the urge to defecate!
Since, my friend, you have revealed your deepest fear
I sentence you to be exposed before your peers!
Tear down the wall!

I think there is a little bit of Chris in all of us
You would think that. You draw Sonic fan art, still live with your parents as a grown man, and are a massive autist. Given that many similarities, I wouldn't be surprised if you wanted to fuck your mother as well.
However when the eyes are turned and we really want to give Into our own sick desires we want to assert dominance over somebody else often we will go out of our way.
What is this "we" shit nigger, no "we" don't. That's you, stop projecting onto everyone else you fucking psychopath.
because there are many MANY times he simply could have stepped away from the computer
:story: Yes, Felix Lang of London England, failed animator and spoiled rich kid NEET, there are many times you could have stepped away from the computer.

Do not do your moralising here. Fuck off. You do not speak for "we" anyone because you have no fucking friends.

The judge has made a ruling. He gave it to the lawyers to put it in writing and send back to him to be signed. That usually takes a couple of days.
I bet there is something that holds up public news again. There always is.

Chris Chan isn’t real. It was all an elaborate gaslighting prank. CGI and AI are wonderful technologies
God I wish that were true. Imagine the catharsis. Imagine the release. It's like being Guts and your friends come out of the bushes to tell you the Eclipse was all a prank and the camera is over there.
