Warning, mini rant incoming: There's no way anybody can look at these Pokemon designs and convince me they're good. That Raikou-looking...thing...is the most dogshit monster design I think I've ever had the displeasure of viewing in any game ever, let alone just Pokemon or its clones.
There's no words for how bad this shit is. Some Pokemon loyalist is going to point to Grimer or Jynx with tears in their eyes and say the series always had weaker designs here and there, but no. Grimer is an artistic masterpiece and work of creative genius compared to the AI generated filth they're spewing out here.
I apologize to AI actually, I'm sure it could've done better.
Duraludon but you can barely tell where its face due to the very harsh color palette and overcrowding of features and also it looks like a backward stapler but is also a bridge and its legs are bridge supports
Because it's not Raikou its a paradox mon that base on Raikou like Walking Wake is base on Suicune but as a raptor like dino there some elements of them but there more drastically different
Also understandable since all Future Paradox are machine with some tweaks but they didn't replace any of the old ones there just new mons base on this gen gimmicks like the Ultra Beasts
I also really don't care about the Mochi not being in the base game nearly as much as I do anything else. If anything, a (sort of) new addition geared around aiding competitive play (a very niche offshoot of normal gameplay that's mostly for hardcore fans) seems li
The old games did this too" is also false equivalence because ORAS and BW2 were completely separate sequel games to the debuts of their generation that you're comparing them to (XY and BW respectively) instead of DLC, of-fucking-course they're going to have new content that isn't compatible with the old. They were also made during times when internet-based gaming content was only just starting to become modern, with the DS having 0 framework for updating older games at all outside of local events or rereleases and the 3DS only toying with the feature to any significant extent later within its life.
The ORAS comparison is somewhat more valid due to the fact that it was 1) presumably made by similar people to SV, and definitely the same director 2) a comparison of regional gimmick forms instead of battle formes, and 3) probably entirely possible to update XY with the ORAS megas (and they just didn't do it)... but again, refer to m
Ok fair with older DS games but the 3DS one shouldn't have them lock behind them then let the older game be obsolete like USUM with there forms and Ultra Beasts at least with the dlc you still get them by trading
This is just terrible taste and I refuse to entertain it further (not to mention that this example was from a time before the series had an extremely long and established history of cutting content to sell back to the consumer later; these two are also some of the first cross-generation evolutions in history- without them, it's questionable as to whether the concept would exist at
Ok on how I type there is stupid but still giving evo or pre evo even after 1 gen is good like they did in gen 2 with Steelix, 3 with Wobbuffet and almost some of gen 4 but gone with 5 through 7 then return in Hisui and now about who need them or not is debatable like I didn't think Bisharp can evo due of how high lvl it need to evo but they choose to or Applin got another evo ala Tyrogue I think its neat they return to what they did in earlier gens
Ok your rant about the DLC @Anonitolia are both fair and stupid like the Photo mode and pkhex stuff should be in the base game but while the the stuffs like the mega gmax equivalent stuff you said ,did you forget that they did that with ORAS but worse since you can't use ORAS mega in XY even in BW2 you can't even use alternate forms in BW2 on base BW at least with the DLC you just update your base game and trade with those mons and able to use them like SWSH with its DLC also the evo immediately after a gen happen in fucking gen 2 did you fucking forget Steelix or Blissey also what desecration of old mons those 2 are just paradox mons that base on Raikou and Cobalion like Walking Wake and Iron Leaves are base on Suicune and Virizion also since Walking Wake is base on some dinosaur raptor of course the Raikou one will be base on some dino too, liking or disliking a design are subjective but thinking this some new low it always happen with every generations like the last one some your rants are good like the room decor ,gym rematch and flying stuffs but some are just plain fucking stupid but only the ones I mentioned but still I'm neutral about the present I like the new anime web animation since I like the one they did with Hisui and Galar ones while other stuff are just plain eh to me.
I'm the user @Down_the_stars I just didn't care enough to remember or save my old account ever since KF got fuck up so I didn't try but I've been lurking KF recently these days so new account
OK. Your rant and @Anonitolia's rant about the DLC are both fair and stupid. Like, the Photo Mode and PKHeX stuff should be in the base game. However, regarding the Mega Evolution/Gigantamax equivalent stuff you just said, did you forget that they did the same thing with Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire, but in a worse way? You can't use in Pokémon X/Y any Mega Evolutions that originated in Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire. Even in Pokémon Black 2/White 2, you can't even use any alternate forms in Pokémon Black 1/White 1 if they originated in Pokémon Black 2/White 2. With DLC at least, you just update your base game, then you are able to trade with and use those new Pokémon, which is the same thing Pokémon Sword/Shield did with its DLC. Also, new evolutions being released immediately after a generation happened since Generation 2!! Did you forget about Steelix or Blissey, which were Generation 2 evolutions of Generation 1 Pokémon??
Also, what did you mean by 'desecration of old mons'?? Those 2 that you mentioned are just Paradox Pokémon that, by design, are based off existing Pokémon. In this case, they are based on Raikou and Cobalion like how Walking Wake is based on Suicune and Iron Leaves is based on Virizion. Also, since Walking Wake is base on some dinosaur raptor, of course the Raikou-based Paradox Pokémon will be based on some other dinosaur, too. Liking or disliking a design are subjective. Every generation, people think that the current designs are some new low.
Your rants are good in some points; examples are your rants on the room decor, gym rematches, and infinite flying. Your other rants, though just the ones I mentioned, are just plain stupid. Even so, I'm still neutral about the present state of Pokémon. I like the new web animation, since I like the ones they did with Hisui (Pokémon Hisuian Snow) and Galar (Pokémon Twilight Wings) while other stuff are just plain 'eh' to me.

IMO the big issue with the TCG right now is Energy acceleration. Creatures Inc. seems to be really scared of cutting down on the amount of cards, Pokémon or otherwise, with the effect and they’re deathly afraid of printing anything that can punish or block it. They also have serious issues planning out sets, they tend to just design cards set-by-set rather than designing them division-block-by-division-block and preventing broken combos from popping up whenever a new set comes out.
And yes, Live is a massive clusterfuck but that’s a different kettle of fish altogether.
Started another playthrough of Pokemon Ranger Shadows of Almia. It's been over a decade since I last played it and my god it's way better than I ever remembered. Drawing circles around a moving model on screen is probably more than nu-game freak could ever possibly handle.
It's fun once you get past all the school bullshit when the story actually lets you play the game. I understand relating to a target audience but my fucking god why does seemingly EVERYTHING out of japan have to have some kind of hours long high school intro? I'd rather they do anything different for an intro and setting for once. At least the mainline games never had this problem until recently.

This is, without a doubt, the worst design I have ever seen come out of the franchise. How the fuck do you take Raikou, a goddamn tiger raiju, and turn it into a fucking giraffe?!? The legs look like they've been warped in an SFM shitpost video for christ's sake!
Fuck you, for bastardising the first legendary pokemon I ever caught, Game Freak. Fuck you, fuck you, fuck you.

I saw people unironically say long Raikou was stolen off fan design, and this is why a lot of popular ideas can not become canon: GF will get into trouble for design theft.
The more fangames with Coolass Mcdragon, the less of those could become canon.
New variations of old Pokemon are one of the few cool things they started doing, and now they're even fucking THAT up. Pokemon needs to be handed off to new developers, let Monolithsoft handle it or something.
The existance of specifically the prehistoric Paradox mons makes me wonder why they didn't make more Ancient Power cross-gen evolutions like Gen 4 did.
It led to things like Mamoswine or Yanmega and those designs were great, especially the latter.
