I'm skeptical about most stuff posted on Kiwifarms- the opportunity to post disinfo is just too easy, if one were so inclined. That said, that Kalea did not go on an attention-grabbing spree after the DM dump honestly gives her authenticity. Senor Balldoman has a nasty habit of trying to take things off the public record. We have seen that on streams, we have seen that now in chats. I am sure there are many, many DMs which would enrich our understanding of Mr Rekieta, for both good and bad. And outside of screenshots, there's not a practical way to authenticate messages from Discord, Insta, or Signal (or whatever else IDK... IRC). If people are comfortable sharing them or posting them, please continue. What has been shared so far is establishing a side of Nick that has been suspected for some time.
Not that it matters, I am just some guy.
But just some guys don't go to conventions and expect people to line up for miles to chat with them and maybe get a photo or sign some merch. But Rackets doesn't have any merch. Not really, I guess there were the print on demand stuff he supported for a while, in ugly color combos and weird themes. Maybe that store is still up, I don't know. But he didn't bring any with him, that I can tell. I guess you could bring a balldo for him to sign. That would go great next to your 4-star hat, your Killstream shirt, and your copy of one of CRP's books.
Noseman's current audience is not made up of anime fans, and he continues to shit on large swaths of the anime fandom. Slice of life is by far one of the most common and popular genres on Crunchyroll (and presumably in Japan). V-tubers, well you can see the numbers on youtube and twitch. So given his hatred of the audience, why go? Or at least, why have a booth? Drinker had a line, but he's funny, likeable, and I think has some books that people could ask him to sign. Chrissie Mayr has a comedy album (and also tits... not sure if she got CDs or not of it, or vinyl? IDK what people do these days). Guys like Chris Gore didn't have a booth, even though he has a flipping documentary that people could have him sign. But Chris came all the same, took pictures, and thanked people (even Nick).
But Nick can't even do a single post to promote it. But as others has mentioned, he's sure got time to internet slap fight. My guess is that Nick will claim Matsuri was a huge success, because he had fun. He and Kayla (and Drex) like to have fun. It's just a bit of fun. A sane person would see that they're past the time to sunset this sort of public appearance. Nick is not known for his good decisions. I look forward to seeing how his live "shows" go from here, and what his future con schedule ends up like.
Remember when Noseman used to say it was "for the fans"? Now it's fuck the fans- I need mine. Whether that's telling the fans to fuck off, or to (minimally) fantasize about fucking them, it's all the same in Rackets' booze-addled, coom-filled mind. Keep those superchats coming in, grandma.
