Have they found anything to screech about in Baldurs Gate 3 yet? Or was the inclusion of a non-binary option and every companion being bisexual enough to appease them?

Not with BG3 per se as far as I can tell but they have been screeching about the backlash against the current state of AAA and the embarrassing behavior of devs on twitter.

Sounds like they've gotten some kind of offer to synergise with an MMO. Though basing it on a poll suggests it's either like one of those contests where you have to say how much you want to win in 50 words or less, and it's with an MMO that's on the list and there will be a reward or something for players.

I don't necessarily expect the deal to be terrible, but I expect the reactions to be boorishly jannied to remove even a hint of disappointment or disagreement with whatever happens. They'll have to do their handwringing about capitalism taking over their favourite corporately owned forum on Discord (also corporate).

I would hope the majority of Farm posters already know this but this is like the time Ben Shapiro tried to call Andrew Neil a lefty. Unlike Shapiro I cannot see anyone on ResetEra admitting they were wrong.

Also I want to know more about this. I was aware of the ongoing conflict between Guardian writers who go "what about women's rights?" and the people screaming "shut up TERF!" but did not know there had been an open disavowment?
Never forget, the Guardian US had to disavow the Guardian UK and rebuke them because they were being too transphobic. That's sort of the level we're dealing with here.

On topic for the thread it's the usual American centric attitude of Reeeeeeeeeee as seen in the banning of "cunt." The site for all that it bleats differently is so American-centric it's hilarious. I also think some of this is pre-emptive damning of all things UK and European when studies start coming out that go against the current messages in America and they need to start screaming about TERF island again.

They've been attacking it as "right-wing" for a couple years now. There was a post in a thread that attacked it as having "long been fash" because Glenn Greenwald wrote for them like a decade ago.

Was a thread not too long ago where they were attacking the New York Times for being far-right too.

You're supposed to do it now to make up for the centuries of oppression and show that you respect them as human beings by focusing on their skin color. I've seen multiple published books that have a page explaining this at the start of them. I've done it since because it's funny to me.

It's an American political thing. You have black people as in people with dark skin, and then you have Black people which is people with certain identity politics positions.

This is how you can have Clarence Thomas as "the black face of white supremacy", and how Biden can say things like "if you don't vote [Democrat], you ain't Black." and have it make complete sense to them.
