So just a regular wendigo? She also has that undertoned whispering I've noticed in a lot of people. Either she doesn't fully believe what she's saying or she's trying to avoid causing a scene. Focusing on her art more than nudies for her subs would be better, in fact improving her relationship with her children all together by dumping both would be a vast improvement.

MA3 was ok, but like you guys said it got grating. Maybe if the characters grew up faster and Zii got her karma sooner than later, it wouldn't have been so bad. The debauchery got out of hand. Zii was a piece of shit, and I dropped it after she bragged about fucking 3 guys at once (And Gary being a creepy beta bitch didn't help things).

Decided to look at Questionable Content, which I used to read, and it looks like Marten, the main character, is moving away and leaving the comic to live with his dick girl. I abandoned the strip when it became all about robot girls lezzing out together and it sounds like nothing has changed since then.

I think Jeph just wants to stop doing QC and move onto something else, which is understandable considering he's been doing this for twenty years and 5000 pages, but after his Angel Grove comic failed (If you're going to do a webcomic that works better for print, you need to draw it like the genre and post more than two pages a week) he just changed QC into it and made it suck... worse than it used to.

Oh, and of course, the news that the protagonist is leaving is brushed over pretty quickly.

He's transparently been wanting to do literally anything else besides QC for like a decade now. He even tried to make a different comic, (Alice Grove, doesn't even have its own website anymore lol) but no one read it.

I always figured it was as simple as he's lost whatever drive he had. Alice Grove failing (Not helped that it was a GN style comic where only two pages came out a week and he drew it exactly the same way he did QC) probably didn't help things.

I mean, read the first twenty pages here, realize that it took two months to progres that far, and think about how interested you'd be in a comic whose story moves that slowly.

My theory is that JJ realized that if QC hasn't made him popular enough to have a stable of indie girl groupies with shitty rooster fringe haircuts to peg him by now, its never going to happen. That realization has killed whatever tiny creative spark he had. The man is a shittier Jim Davis at this point.

That aside, lol. Lmao, even. Has she just been having a constant meltdown since that one comic about "lifestyles" that prompted me to make my first post? If so, she could make decent cow material depending on how long that meltdown lasts for. Especially if someone digs up the aforementioned porn and brings it up alongside her having children to use against her (then again this is reddit so the opposite will probably happen).

(On the subject of mouse drawing: iirc it's only disrespected if your art looks like shit as a result and/or you refuse to try a tablet or any other method instead. There are some maniacs who've mastered drawing mspaint art with their mouse to the point where it's genuinely impressive, but they're very far and few inbetween (though highly dedicated to their autism) and instead it's mostly vain pricks insisting that they don't need to change anything about themselves to make their art any better because "it's already so good".)

Pizzacake made a comic about the haters, which was posted here (https://www.reddit.com/gallery/15h15er if you need a refresher), but what wasn't posted here is what happened on the subreddit after she posted it. It spawned a bunch of related meta comics from other artists that were actually funny and better than the garbage she originally made:







I want to rant about this a bit more, since she seems to believe that her comics get hate because she's a woman and because THE HATERS are evil Conservatives that simply hate her having fun. First off, every artist will get haters and trolls, regardless of their gender and regardless of how good their art is. Her whining about something that happens to EVERYONE that posts their art online makes her come off as big baby, not a 40 year old woman. She is old enough to know by now that trolls exist and the best way to deal with them is to ignore them. But she doesn't do that, instead she complains and makes a bunch of comics about it.

Second, she's being dishonest about every negative criticism coming from trolls. I'm sure there are some people who simply hate her for no reason, but I've also read a ton of polite and well thought out comments about why they didn't like the "jokes", or how she used too many panels, or ways she can improve her art, etc. People have politely pointed out that some of her comics are either unoriginal jokes that have been repeated a million times by others, or that her comics are antagonistic and will alienate readers. Of course she doesn't have to listen to these people, she can do what she wants, but rather than listen to criticism or ignore it, she instead accuses everyone of being bullies and sexists

This brings me to my biggest gripe with her and other redditor's claims of sexism. Do I think sexism is real? Sure. Do I think that's why pizzacake is getting so much hate for her comics? Hell no. As I mentioned above, the main reason she gets hate is due to unoriginal jokes and making comics complaining about other people complaining.

But don't just take my word for it. I think a good counter example to this is another female comic artist that is popular on reddit. She is also middle aged and her art is terrible, yet you don't see people bitching about her stuff like pizzacake. Just compare her comics:






Again, this woman's art is not great, but at least they aren't recycled jokes and I find them actually kind of funny. Even if you hate her comics, at least this comic artist is smart enough to not make the bulk of her comics trying to piss off her readers. If the claims of sexism against pizzacake were true, then we should be seeing a bunch of comments attacking this comic artist but you don't.

i go into a little more detail in my post here, but the short answer is: no, from my experience plenty of artists have always been the histrionic huff-their-own-farts kind of artists, and they're the kind of people that endlessly parrot the talking points of bad webcomic artist lady. it's definitely more pronounced with weeb/furry artists but everyone from voice actors to writers are getting salty as they see real loss of work from AI happening in real time

God knows why, I guess just because the artist thought nobody looked ugly enough?

It goes from being a decent-looking comic with fairly normal (if slightly tumblr-y) art to utter fucking trash over the course of 8 years and 18 chapters, it's the slowest burn ever but its lows are comical

All this from 28 year-old nonbinary(?) professional graphic designer Dasia Leonard who also has a YouTube channel where she makes Nuzlocke comic reaction videos and Let's Plays in her spare time. She's also one of the ugliest women I've ever seen, but at least she doesn't seem to hide it much and plays into the teeth well enough to make a pretty effective caricature.

She also seems like a genuinely good person outside of her questionable interests and the personal politics I disagree with, so good on her for that I guess.

I find the most entertaining part of this the fact that the lady running this account tries to sell "fashion therapy" on Zoom for $150 a session and uses Google Fucking Forms when offering you to buy her posters for $15 a pop. because I honestly think Ky-nim made one of the only genuinely good Nuzlocke comics out there in the form of Myths of Unova. So why her? Am I missing some context? I know she's gone a little SJWish since she finished that one, but am I missing something else?
