I do recall that Snoot Game went through a re-write to make it more "normie" friendly but knowing 4chan, the original version probably had way too much online lingo and was far more in your face. So Im glad it was re-written to be an actual plot.
If you're thinking of that rewrite prompted by the one /lit/ anon it was probably less about making it 'normie friendly' and more that it probably wasn't very good to begin with.
I'd previously assumed it was all some big metaphor for climate change and zoomers viewing the world as totally doomed, bro and how nobody really cares. But honestly, I'm not completely sure the writers know what an "allegory" even is. I haven't read through the whole string dump, but the giant space rock might just be a giant space rock, with no other meaning, which is kinda funny in an absurdist way.
They're appear woke and hamfisted enough to do that... then go "Just because it didn't happen this year it doesn't mean that world won't end next year! #ExtinctionRebellion #TransRights"
Worst part is that i'm pretty sure most people who will end up buying GVH are Snoot Game fans, if anything for the sake of comparison. Boy i can't wait for the dozens of YT videos comparing the plot and characters of both games, lots of people are going to be really mad if a bunch of coomers and shitposters end up making the better game of the two.
Going gold is an old term in the gaming industry.
Back in the day, when games were distributed in physical format, they were written on CDs, which had gold color. Going gold, basically means the game is finished and ready to be sold.
Now if they said the game is already GOTY, that would be some major fart huffing.
So decided to finally play Snoot Game, and i'm kinda surprised, not because the game was legitimately good, hell i never doubted the game would be at the very least decent, i was surprised because it actually showed some restraint, it was a game made by 4chan after all.
The fact that ending 3 pretty much tells you "Turning Fang into a submissive tradwife maybe wasn't the best for her" tells you a lot of the people behind Snoot Game, i mean, they could have taken the easy route and make ending 3 either the best ending or the only "good ending", they could have easily pandered to "their side", because sure as hell GVH will pander to their audience a 100%
It is kind of surprising how a bunch of anons managed to handle their game with way more tact than the creators of GVH probably will, and lets not forget the obvious lack of porn on Snoot Game, while the head writer of GVH was fired because she made an article about Harry Potter porn, like some people already mentioned, only god knows what was written in the original script.
I think Ending 3 was supposed to be the only "good" end and that was one of the main things that got trashed by one anon the devs reference ( i think it was /lit/ anon), which is one of the reasons tradwife fang does end up kinda detatched, it was apparently the only good end and meant to be kinda bittersweet

Older than that, it's from the audio industry. In music terms it means the gold master(the final mix) is done and it is sent out and ready for duplication. Since games on CD were manufactured in the same way as music the terminology overlapped and it stuck. It's a bit stupid but even with digital it makes sense, any changes from here on out will be a day one patch.
I finally got around to playing the Wani demo and i have to admit, it seems like they nailed it again, ngl, the friends are pretty likeable, Olivia can be hit or miss but she opens up somewhat nicely, the Humor is definently less 4chan-ey and it relies more on slapstick rather than parody, since Inco is not really a loser 4channer like anon, more of a nerdy photography lanklet
But it was still fun and suprisingly high tech for a VN, ive seen paid projects that have worse art, it still has a better asthetic and even animations that GBVH itself, which is kinda hilarious in a sad way, even though its still just a fucking VN
I just want to remind everybody that the price for this game is still not listed. I'm hopeful KO_OP is delusional enough to charge more than $30 for this

"We finished our game! It comes out in just one week! Wishlist it on Steam and PS Store now!!!"
"Oh cool, how much does it cost?"
"..."
You'd think they'd have figured it out after, what, 3 years? Maybe there's some last-minute argument at the office about how much to charge for such an incredible piece of art. I think there's been a few discussions on the Steam forums asking about it, but the only answers are "not $60."
Im betting some 29.99 or maybe 39.99 for the unorthodox pricing since its supposed to be atleast a double A title. I think 19.99 or lower wouldnt pan out for the amount of time they spent on it, wasted time or not

The price allegedly popped up for some people in the Snoot Discord, which has it listed as $9.99 for US, and 32.99 for Brazil, which converts to around $6 US dollars,
