Plagued Consoomers / Consoomer Culture - Because if it has a recogniseable brand on it, I’d buy it!

Bild Lilli was high society, she was an escort/call girl in the more classical usage of the term where she didn't street walk or openly advertise the fact that she was a whore.
You mean courtesan?

That would actually make sense in a weird way. Barbie is supposed to be fashionable, independent, intelligent etc. Successful courtesans throughout history are often noted as being intelligent and charming as well as beautiful and fashionable. They sold their personality as much as their body.

So does everything in the public space around you - door handles, chairs, desks, goods in shops. Trays on planes are dirtier than the toilets:
But I barely touch any of that and wash my hands after it, I don't carry a plane tray and use it in the toilet too, and I don't put my face next to it either, see the problem now?

the hatred for color is definitely a part of our world becoming cynical and depressing
>"eeew, color? but that's for people who like.... enjoy stuff. fucking preps. enjoying stuff is so lame. its cooler to pretend we dont care about anything"

i sometimes wonder if its intentional, if there's some kinda movement to turn us all apathetic and only have us get excited about approved things
if we loved color and beauty and joy, we might accidentally find it in the real world, we might go outside, smell a flower, watch the clouds, look at a beautiful building or a painting made with love and care and realize theres stuff to care about, and then we'll start fighting for that stuff! before we know it, we'll have some kinda... emotions! itll no longer be cool not to care while were getting destroyed! we'll start CARING about that!
no no no! cant have that! only greys and whites for you, step away from the light now, emotions can only come from buying product, its not keeewl to notice, stop noticing immediately
Instead of whining on the internet, get off your ass and learn to paint. Take your own advice.

At the risk of going a bit off topic, what even was the last piece of media that made you (you = any of us itt) actually feel something other than "amused" or "bad"?

I know a lot of anime is shit, but honestly I'm having a hard time thinking of anything western or live action* at all from the last 5 years.

  • Arcane
  • Unicorn: Warriors Eternal (for animation)

The barbie movie was actually pretty intensely existentialist but in a way that felt meaningful? They managed to play with the idea of toy/marketing based media in a really funny and meta way that subverted a lot of the tropes that have been discussed to death in this thread.

There's still something incredibly concerning to me about people's goals being set on cheap amazon products
Say what you will about luxury brands but there's aspects to them that are right, even if they do it for the wrong reason
It seems like the cheaper the fashion and trend is, the quicker it goes out of style, and you end up spending more in the long run trying to keep up
Whereas the more you spend on something and the longer it'll be with you, the less inclined you are to run off to the next toy

At least, that's the case for most people
But I don't doubt there's plenty of rich folk, or maybe even poor people, who consume luxury brands the same way they consume tictacs
The key is to look for timeless styles and high quality materials rather than a brand name. Most people don't know shit about fabrics and construction so its possible to find high quality garments sold inexpensively secondhand. My favorite coat is a vintage cashmere-wool blend. It's held up amazingly despite being 60ish years old and I bought it for around that many bucks.

Phones are one of the things that I will never ever buy used, why? because every single phone out there has been in the shitter.

But I barely touch any of that and wash my hands after it, I don't carry a plane tray and use it in the toilet too, and I don't put my face next to it either, see the problem now?
Personally I'm just glad to have a phone that works. My current one was bought new but not my last one, a old S5 from a friend. One of the best I'd ever had. You can sanitize a phone, alcohol wipes and the like.

Kind of? Back in the day (around about 100 years ago or earlier) a high class escort was someone you had to book an appointment with, usually by calling a number, hence the term call girl. She would actually escort you and come along to functions, dinners, conferences, office parties, etc. and there was also usually (although not always) some sex at the end of the night but that would run you extra. I'm not at all familiar with the intricacies of what makes a courtesan but from the way you described it it sounds very similar.

You can always deep clean a phone but is it worth it? unless its highend and you get it for next to nothing I wouldn't bother, midend today are great nothing like the midend phones from a few years ago that would lag even when new.

I got the S5 for fifty bucks from a friend after breaking my old one days before on a hike. That's worth it to me man. Unplanned, very fucking cheap, can't complain

No reports if he used any camping equipment featured in Yurucamp. And I'm not sure if it's better or worse than when Yurucamp fans trashed one of the campgrounds that appeared in the show.

And since I mentioned Bocchi the Rock earlier, there is a warning on the official site in three languages basically telling fans of the show to stay the fuck out of the neighborhood where the show is set.

JFC these weebs ruin everything...
To be fair it's not just a weeb thing, it's a fandom thing. In America for example, you had Breaking Bad fans throwing pizzas on the roof of the house even though it is now a privately owned residence. (Archive)

I wonder if there are any examples of fandom autism having a positive effect, like Japanese GuP fans donating a ton of money to the Finnish Armor Museum to pay for new pavilions to help protect the last BT-42 and other tanks, all because the BT was featured in the movie.
Even then you still get cringy tourists...

Even outside of cleaning, phones are built to fail. I have a harder time justifying paying to fix/replace parts on a used phone than a new one. Not to mention software updates that slow down your old phone even though you take good care of it.

Not only was it obnoxious and unfunny, it was also a waste of food. An average pizza is like what, $15?

This belongs here
This middle eastern fag with his warehouse of fragrances and candles. I assume he's a sandnigger, because he writes in a broken version of English containing of only few understandable words that have no rhyme or reason to them. Like Chantal's husband, dearest Salad.
He claim his wife owns the candle hoard, which actually is possible. As Hamberlynn got a FULL closet of scented candles.

Post history is of him mostly spamming pics of his warehouse in subs related to fragrance. We can't call this a shop anymore, a shop do have their shit more neatly displayed. Even if this is neatly displayed, its just visual chaos.

Lol, people seething at retards buying up DUPES and potentially increasing the price. It's a dupe for L'immensite by Lous Vuitton and was released this year. Anyone that are price conscious know to never buy a product even the year it was released, as the price goes down over time.

Never smelt any dupe fragrance that smell good, and sure. There may be one that's good, but at that point you likely have bought. Remember kids, you don't get samples for dupes. So you might as well buy the real thing, even if its overprices, imagine the price for 10-20 dupes. Don't underestimate how fanatic these autists are about finding "The one".

It's hard justifying buying newer phones for me honestly, because they usually are missing the sim card slot and the aux port, forcing you to get Bluetooth headphones and earbuds, and either pay more for storage or be shit out of luck. My 32 gig sim card hasn't let me down on photo storage just yet, and I've had it for years.

As for battery life, external batteries baby. A cheap ass solution to the problem. Give it a 3 foot cord, and you're good to go. I'd rather repair what I have and spite the manufacturers putting out utter shit that's a complete downgrade of what I originally purchased, because they do it every year, take shit away. I'll repair it as long as possible, because I payed good money for this bad boy, and I'm not paying more until it's so broken, and the parts so expensive that the cost of repair makes it utterly unfeasible. I payed good money for a 5G phone to future proof myself, I expect to get my money's worth, and not consoom.

Not only have they started the trend of taking ports away, but the internals have become less and less repairable too. Literal disposable phones, valuable lithium to the landfill. Consooming at its finest

Back in the day there were vast improvements in hardware constantly but now it's leveled off to a point where average phone/PC specs are more than enough for most people's needs, but the tech industry has remained in the mindset that people need to replace everything. So instead of making devices actually better they've started making them more disposable to force that same rate of replacement even though it's not necessary and the phones aren't much of a real improvement over last year's model.

Plus Apple is great at marketing and social manipulation so morons buy into their shitty product changes for the clout. You just know there are retards out there who will literally judge people for having phones with a headphone jack ffs.

Also I actually prefer Bluetooth headphones for a couple of reasons... one being that the wire tends to be the first thing that fails. My pair has a jack so I can use them as wired headphones if I want, but if the aux cord gets a short I can just replace the cord and not the whole pair. My Bluetooth headphones have lasted me much longer than any wired pair I've ever had for this reason alone. On top of that, I often want to listen to music while doing chores or hobby stuff and I like not being literally tethered to my phone or laptop while I do things that don't involve either of them or having the cord catch on things.

I prefer not having a jack, because cords are shit as you said. But what others do, I don't care and it's retarded that people don't even get the choice to choose.

One thing I find better with bluetooth earphones, is unlike with headphone jacks I wasn't changing new earphones often because there's no wiring that can break and there's less clutter on your person.

The only downside is if the place you won't walk away for a good minute has stuff that can cause interference, there's your problem.
