Corporate Cucks / Hustle Culture / LinkedIn Loonies - Corporate bootlickers and shills

I kinda get it because of the old mantra "If you work hard, you will climb the corporate ladder"
In this current age, the company will exploit people for believing it.
That kind of "grind" only makes sense if you are self-employed or in charge of the company, or are guaranteed promotion every time a certain requirement is met, or if you're fighting a war.

There's something really insufferable about these "growth mindset" cunts treating jobs as some kind of life changing experience and shaming people who do not do more than the standard 40 hour work week.

What I think: "Extra effort deserves extra compensation"
What I say: "Extra effort deserves extra compensation"
What I do: Put in no extra effort unless offered the extra compensation it deserves

Idk, guess I'm pretty happy, and in harmony

To the people in white collar jobs where this hustle culture mindset seems to flourish most among coworkers and upper management, how do you keep from snapping?
By constantly arranging Teams meetings to allow the worst of them to waffle on for hours while I play counter strike in my office.

One of the first things I did when I was hired was gradually try and make meetings early in the morning as a general 'icebreaker' for the day, which eventually became so popular they're practically mandatory in the mornings. It's basically black tar heroin for middle managers and means that nothing is ever really done until after lunch break, which suits me fine because I hate mornings.

I'm a KF autist and I can play the game, you all can too if you break into an industry with even the slightest hint of managerial bloat.

The problem isn't the game, the problem is being physically sickened by being around the other players.
The key issue here is to pick your battles, yes you can rearrange the rules of the game once you have a comfortable level of career experience and financial security but it's in your best interests to not rock the boat while you’re gradually progressing throughout your career.

Not going to mention how much I earn for obvious reasons, but playing the game to make your job as stress free as possible so you can go home and enjoy the rest of your day while banking decent money is the best thing you can do to progress your career. You can save up for a deposit in a more lucrative area, you can use your spare time to work on an online course to get yourself a qualification in a harder subject, hell if you make enough distractions you could study or do another remote job while clocked in at your desk.

Fitting in is a VERY important part of progressing throughout the retarded corporate culture, once you hit a high enough level you’ll never have to deal with any of that shit again if you don’t want to. Make enough money and you could buy a cabin in the woods and go fishing for the rest of your life if you want.

I’d also heavily recommend any of you pick up a manual labour job for a year to work out whether or not dealing with corporate bullshit is worth a less physical role, with me coming from a kitchen almost everything is plain sailing. There is nothing that a middle manager could ever say or do that would compare to a late rush/solo close. I keep seeing people working shitty office jobs who watch Office Space and think that a manual labour job would fix them up, only to realise that they start from scratch in a physically demanding job and unless they're a heavy gym goer they'll easily wear themselves out within 8 months if that.

Those same people do it because otherwise they would be driving for Uber or working Retail at Walmart.

I can empathize a bit. I remember in college once being awake for around 34 hours straight and having been in a zen flow state of doing productive shit for the past 20 or so of them and then leaving the last lecture at 9 PM and then falling asleep while driving and waking up 15 minutes later into the commute still somehow on route. It's not something I'd want to do often, but it was kino that one time.

I agree that temporarily messing with your sleep schedule can sometimes help your mood and make you more productive. It's cruel for an employer to expect their employees to do it on-site at an office in SF that's likely open floor plan. It seems pretty clear to me that this was part of Elon's plan to create voluntary turnover.
