You can put a couple drops of concentrated lemon juice in water if you're desperate. Honestly, I have been that desperate; I've lived in places where the tap water tasted appalling. Modern world problems; the water was perfectly safe to drink, it just tasted like sucking on a mouthful of mud and rusty pipes.

A big can of Tang concentrate would last well over a month, that's my personal choice. Goes great with eggs

Paper based teabags (do not use the "fancy" pyramid bags as they leak enormous amounts of microplastic) are both convenient and biodegradable, loose leaf is even better but less convenient. I've heard some brands now sell coffee bags similar to teabags even.

I bought myself a metal tea strainer a week or two back and it's made loose leaf tea just as convenient as pre-bagged.
Coffee-wise, I never found drip all that inconvenient. It takes 10 minute tops to prep a pot of coffee and that's if you have to clean it up from a previous brewing. The leftover coffee can be stored in a mason jar and either enjoyed cold or reheated in a microwave. Hell, blend some cold leftover coffee with a bit of ice, a pinch of cinnamon, and a table spoon or two of creamer and you've got the perfect iced coffee for hot days.

It worked, but people started to realize it was causing plumbing issues (little bits of plastic shouldn't get flushed down sewer drains, who knew?) so they've started phasing that out. Claiming "free of microplastics" might just be their way of trying to say "hey this won't fuck up your drains."

Of course, bragging about not putting something in your products that never belonged there in the first place could also be considered cynical marketing in its own right.

They've been doing this with soaps for a while too, ever since Lava soap started causing issues with their plastic micro beads a lot of your shop soaps (the kinds marketed for people like mechanics and welders that have the abrasive material in them) have made a point of pointing out that they contain pummice stone or some other material so people know "this stuff won't fuck up my sink".

I suppose that could be the case, but the modern discussion about microplastics has a complete misunderstanding of where they originate from.
Plastic bottles deteriorate into their contents over time, even if your shampoo was made with clean ingredients, you're still putting it in something that'll cause issues in the long run

I need everything wired in my apartment because of that and it pissed me off that even my new LG TV came without a headphone jack, i need to use an adapter that plugs into optical for that. I can sorta understand it with phones, omit the headphone jack to make it more slim, but on a TV? To be fair, i knew before buying that the TV didn't have a jack and it's excellent otherwise, still doesn't make it any less retarded.
