Incidentally, the lolbert Randall O'Toole of the Antiplanner is a big fan (a) of the Dutch protected intersection (a).Those fancy “safe” Dutch intersections that force cars to take wide turns would be completely unnecessary if cyclists would just yield to people in front of them. Drivers yield to people turning in front of them all the time, but it’s such a burden for cyclists to do the same that they came up with a special name for it.
Occasionally he does say some based stuff, like pointing out the face of public transit (a). But his bad takes make me glad I don't cite him much in this thread.
