Fat Acceptance Movement / Fat Girlcows

Assuming the story is true, that wasn't disdain and judgement in the operator's tone, it was shock and disbelief. That weight at that age?

For context, I looked up the average height of an 11 year old male (I presume this is for the U.S. population, no idea of the source data), and it's 135 cm (4'5"). Assuming the child weighed 118 kg (260 lbs.) -- which may be a charitable underestimate of >250lbs. that means he had a BMI of 64.7. I know BMI isn't supposed to be used for children because it doesn't really apply because they're not proportioned like adults, but still, there's no worry here about mistaking muscle for fat. That's hugely, impossibly fat. But sure, the fatphobia is the problem here, not letting your child eat in such a disordered fashion that they become a behemoth whose body collapses in on itself before puberty.

If this is what they say about a dying child, what do they say about me?
"A child is dead, how can I make this about me?" Like clockwork.

She’s straight sized so *of course* she doesn’t get it.
What the hell are 'straight-sized people'? People with normal weight? If so, are overweight people gay-sized? If you're just a little chubby, are you only bi-sized? How does this work? Does it go beyond that? Are obese people, like, I don't know, zoophile-sized? I have so many questions.

This has been answered to death already.

Straight sizes are the normal, default clothing sizes you find in any store. It's a fashion industry term. If you're a tall woman, you wear Talls; if you're short, you wear Petites; if you're a teenager, or have no boobs or ass, you wear Juniors; if you're fat, you wear Plus sizes. .

Then you need to factor in vanity sizing where they deliberately lower the size to make it seem slimmer. How else do you explain sizes that are "00"?

Of course they're not going to blame the child, or the mother, for it. That would mean being fat is wrong and we all know that being fat is a choice so that child CHOSE to be 250 pounds and shouldn't have to apologize.

And then I remember that these people are literally insane. Yeah it sucks for the mother but she let her child gain weight like that so she needs to bear some of the burden for this.

I was kind of just making a joke there, but this was actually informative, thanks.

Evie is giving out a lot of info in Q&A today.

Her wheelchair is so wide it cannot fit through doorways. She has a 40" width wheelchair. Normal width for bariatric is 20" rated for 350 lbs.. I have only found ONE that is 40" and it requires special manufactoring to add on the extra 10"inches on their largest 30" model. It is weighted for 1,000 lbs. Most common death fat High end of bariatric chairs is 34" with a 750 lb limit.

Her ex husbands family hates and for some reason so does 2 out of his 3 children of her livein boyfriend. Seems hes getting tired of her as well since they called off their engagement. He also now has to be her primary caretaker because of her being fat and injured. She complains that the eldest boy who is 13 wont let her dress and style him. She has taken over their living room to live in and this seems to impede on the family functioning. There entire kitchen has no working water or gas hookups at all is enough to condemn a house. Health doesn't mean medical health it also seems is what she thinks. She admits she used to allow people to make her gain weight for them. They also have cleared her for surgerybut refuse to answer her calls to schedule it.

And in a normal, functional human being this would be the sign that maybe they ought to lose the weight. And then she immediately talks about going to Olive Garden and not being able to fit in the aisles there.

Why the fuck would a fatty want to go to Olive Garden or is it just to put on more weight?

I don't blame the child. He was a child, and likely developmentally delayed in some way to help cause the situation. I do blame his parents -- both of them. Or all of them if there were step parents involved. Granted, we probably don't know the whole situation and the parents may have been dealing with a child with all sorts of severe mental/developmental issues so they coped (in part) by shoving food at him to pacify him. Still, he wasn't procuring whatever he was eating himself. They're as guilty in this as if they had starved him to death, or slowly poisoned him. It amounts to the same thing.

Of course the ridiculous self centred fat person has to make it about *her* -- how hurtful the fatphobia is -- not that her colleague was reacting from genuine upset about passively witnessing (albeit at one remove) people abusing their child to the point of death. The entire thing is disgusting (if true, I don't necessarily think it's not entirely made up) and the blameless parties are the operator who took the call and the victim (the child).

Also assuming it is made up the metrics for what someone considers acceptable is just bizarre. That weight on a preadolescent child? Sure, that's fine, it's natural, it should be accepted and not remarked on. Mother of God are these people deluded.

Edited to add: the post about Evie's boyfriend's eldest son is very telling. He doesn't like chores? What a surprise in an adolescent! And she claims she's "all about the cleaning and the chores". I'm sure she is, when it comes to others, not herself given she's essentially sessile. What I get out of that post is that she tried to turn the oldest boy into her body slave and he said no and stuck to his guns, and consequently views her as the abuser she actually is. Hopefully the boy can manage to get himself out of this situation just as quickly as possible because his father is not a safe person either, to subject his children to this living situation.

I’m of a similar opinion. More of a did I hear those numbers correctly clarification, than “distain or judgement”.

I keep waiting for the HAES self-appointed spokespersons to get wind of ambulance call centre protocols to now ask for the weight of the patient before dispatching an ambulance. They do this these days as part of triaging priority to determine whether a standard ambulance or a bariatric equiped ambulance or a full on bariatric beast of an ambulance needs to be dispatched. It isn’t a fatphobic question, it’s actually a catering to the plus sized community issue. In my country, a bariatric equiped ambulance is required for patients that tip the scales over 150kg (330lb). There is also a standard hospital bed weight limit (250kg/550lb in my state) and operating table weight limits (standard table is 150kg/330lb), which means there is no point transferring someone over that weight to a hospital that doesn’t have the specialised bariatric beds, lifts, toilets etc. Of course those in HAES would say every ambulance/hospital should be equipped to take anybody regardless of their size for the sake of their own dignity, and it’s medical discrimination not to, with total disregard for the enormous price tag.

The original poster should be counselled for posting that on social media, and then told to drop 100lbs or more.

Anyone knows if a person asks something to confirm information that seems implausible, it's actually just the person latching onto the opportunity to use hate speech!

I think these sorts of situations are interesting, because this is how people see Kiwi Farms: A group of people interpreting someone else's actions in bad faith and using it just to speak really unkindly about a person. When someone is trying to help you save your child's life and you're not able to do so because of the consequence of your own actions, you don't blame the person. You say "thank you for your efforts" and you live with the shame of what you did.

Also, just like all the big ladies crying on social media that operator is a bigot, we all know the mom of the kid is fat.

The gall of Evie, my god. "Jeremy needed his house to be made a home" - so you planted your 600-lb ass in his living room, very cool, much homely. Jeremy made his own bed but those poor kids.
No shit the 13-year old doesn't accept direction from Evie, smart kids don't respect adults who are dead lazy and useless. I hope the eldest is already planning his escape from that household as soon as he can get a car, a job, and graduate.

Lizzo posted a video to TikTok, with comments off. In it she recreates a viral recipe for hwachae, a Korean dessert of chilled fruit floating in strawberry milk or fizzy soda. It was apparently popularized by this pretty Korean girl sniffing and slurping her watermelon, bananas and coconut jelly in strawberry milk at 3 am.

Lizzo is VEGAN so she makes her own strawberry oat milk smoothie as the base. She states that this isn’t sweet enough but the other ingredients should make up the sugar. She adds bananas, watermelon and an entire can of syrupy fruit cocktail. She also adds sprite. She clearly isn’t enjoying it and adds more sprite. She concludes it isn’t sweet and wouldn’t hydrate her, and unconvincingly says she likes it.

the bowl is nothing but sugar (including probably the oat milk, majority of the stuff you find in the store is loaded with added sugar), how tf isnt it sweet?
Her taste buds are blown out by all the stabilisers, emulsifiers, etc. etc. in all of the preprepared processed food she normally eats, so something relatively whole (not really given the soda ) doesn't register. That's the only way I can credit what she's saying, unless she has some really bad nasal congestion that she isn't letting on to, which also kills the sense of taste. Or maybe covid? I don't really know, because to me it seems like that must taste like vaguely fruity sugar syrup and nothing else. Or she's lying, which is the simplest explanation.

40 inches wide!? Jumping fucking Jesus. And her biggest concern about this is that she can't fit in the fucking Olive Garden. You couldn't make this shit up.

The smart move would've been to not bother with the chair and instead purchase an electric powered hog hauler. I think farmers use them to haul around dead pigs. This fuckin thing:

hoghauler1.pnghoghauler2.png

I found it online and it would be perfect. It's a bit more expensive than the chair sure, but it's built a hell of a lot stronger and will last forever, it's got a 750 lb weight capacity, has an electric winch/emergency brake/other safety features that will make it far easier for Evie's man slave to haul her around, and most importantly it's so compact that Evie just might be able to squeeze into the booths at shitty chain restaurants! It's on sale and the shipping is free!

Alex is definitely gaining fat again, while pretending she's building muscle. Pretending she's living on salads is mere pretense. The taco bell she's eating at the start of her most recent vlog is what she's really eating. I guess she's given up on getting pregnant, because she won't be accepted for IVF at her current morbidly obese BMI. Just like Anna, I can't wait until her Co-pilot sponsorship is over, because her vlogs are becoming one long Co-pilot ad.

Ilona's new video is great because she really is calling out Alex on all her crap. Can't link today though
