As much as I hope he streams again for a bit, I'm a bit conflicted.
He really did Blues Clues walkout on us on his last stream, it was a great ending, good closure. Bittersweet but ultimately the end of a man's insane Internet legacy, and it was on his terms (cancer aside) that he stopped streaming. He was never defeated in The Sektor so to speak, he was never made to quit by anyone. So people kind of accept it with respect.
In his own words, "Internet fame is fickle". Many people carry on this sort of thing to the point where they really shouldn't and lose their charm over time. Metokur has always been a joy, I hope the Cancer hasn't fucked him up too badly.
It's clearly a 'grift' stream as much as he admits. But he has always known he has a marketable personality, it's a bit retarded to assume that the cancer is being played up as part of the grift, because he'd still be making mad cash from superchats if he just kept streaming every month, I genuinely think he intended to quit when he did, but just lurk on the Internet without feeling obligated to make content.
If he wants to make a bit of cash jumping back on and laughing at goofy shit, I really can't fault him, but it's going to be a shame when he does stop again, I can't take another heartbreak bros!
Daddy Jim came back to collect the car keys, that's all. Don't get comfortable, Cancer is a bitch and it may take him from us yet.
Let us pray it doesn't though. I hope he carries on doing what he wants to do in life.
