I very much agree but I cannot stop asking myself : Yeah, but to put the licence in the hand of which studios
Honestly the Dragon Age setting isn't one I care overmuch about. It has some interesting ideas and a decent tone for one game, but it isn't as multilayered and doesn't have as much going on as half the fantasy settings you'd expect to find in a videogame. I honestly don't need another team to pick up the IP, I'd rather more AA/AAA dev teams make CRPGs in the style of BG3 or DA:O than someone get handed the license.

Does this faggot still wear wigs?
From what I remember, he tried to reinvent himself during Dragon Age: Origins (iirc, it was his first lead role in a major game, before that he was just a writer rather than thee writer) and lost a lot of weight and got hair plugs. Then the franchise crashed and burned and he went back to being a fat bald guy.

That's why they took away Blood Magic as a spec in DAI and they will not return it in DW (most likely). Necromancy is not blood magic. It will never be a real magic type. It is just the Entropy magic tree twisted by mental illness and fags with bad moustaches.
Magic after DAO in general blows penis and was the only reason I didn't actually finish my DAI playthrough.
No interesting specs
Overall less spells and build variety
No decent-looking robes
Even the spell icons are so flat and lifeless, it is an insult to both the player and the UI artist
DW will make this worse, I can feel it in my bones. I expect a full-on MMORPG setup where you just spam 2 spells while standing still. Or even worse - Dark Souls type system where you are just a ranger but sparkly.
The only useful magic in DA is healing/buff magic, everything else is easily replaced by other classes. It also doesn't help that every AoE spell is an automatic aggro generator that makes everyone target whoever is casting. It'd help if there was some AI manipulation to form a bulwark or something around the mage and protect them, but no, everyone's gonna run around, be stupid, and let the mage get killed for casting the wrong spell.

back in the day, people were asking Gaider why you could not romance Oghren or Varic (dwarfs) in dragon age and his response was something along the line of "short people look like children and only a pedophile would romance a child".
Given how many people say this and then you find out they are one... Gaider confirmed for pedophile. Hard Drive Arc when?

That's some massive projection and beyond retarded. That's like dudes who say "if you like short/petite women you're a pedophile". Gaider is a fucking moron.
But hey, you can romance the former child prostitute and and potential pedo Zevran in Origins. You can romance the former sex slave Fenris, and the childlike merril in 2. You can romance Sera who acts like literal child in 3.

saw this on 4chan and thought it would be interesting to post here.

Somehow it is getting worse... Patrick "They/Them" Weekes is the lead?!

Its impressive how badly Dread Wolf and Anthem have fucked over BioWare's talent pool.
Yea, veteran talent since Baldur's Gate are either getting fired or going insane like Weekes.

It may sound true on paper for the industry, I still think it's best we just let it die. Don't give EA any ideas to reboot it just to flop again.
Remember when they rebooted Dungeon Keeper? Why would you encourage them doing that again?
