Though even then, let's assume Eric has those 50k books, he probably paid $5-10 dollars a book, which means he paid out $250k to $500k for that inventory after selling millions of dollars prior to that. Let's assume he even paid $20 a book which is unlikely due to volume, but he is paying marketing and artists so maybe it gets that high, however I think it's closer to $5 but the price of the book is so high to pay for all of the operations costs around it, that's still only a million when he preorders several million each release?

Though once again, the books are probably really cheap to produce, it's the other static costs that are high so holding 50k books probably is a rounding error.
