The bike soys showing up fucking everywhere on the internet that is even remotely related to cars or roads is really starting to get on my nerves. Like the other day I was watching this news coverage of this insane story where some school district trusted an AI startup to plan their busroutes and it resulted in kids getting home over 5 hours late

and then this faggot had to show up and give his brilliant analysis

suburb soyboy.png

There's places in America where the school districts cover over 100 square miles where the kids all live in a bunch of little mountain towns scattered throughout the district, and they can get all the kids home in 30 minutes, but now it's apparently literally impossible to plan a sub 4 hour bus route in suburbia?'

And then there was this comment section I saw on a Vaush video about a bridge collapsing because an oil tanker caught on fire under it, something that no reasonable person would design a bridge to withstand. And of course since most of these urbanists never actually drove a car before they somehow think the drivers could've seen the smoke in the distance and just come to a complete stop on an interstate highway

Also the car playground is very cute

Only an urbanist would look at a story very clearly about how AI is retarded and go "um, ackshually, the problem is CARS, duh."

They do realize that school buses are a form of public transportation? If parents had dropped their kids off at school instead, there wouldn't have been any issue.

Also, the reason why kids can't go to their neighborhood schools has nothing to do with suburbs. In fact, suburbs allow kids to go to schools close to them, while kids in urban school districts are subject to busing:
Wikipedia said:
For the 1975–76 school year, the Louisville, Kentucky school district, which was not integrated due to whites largely moving to the suburbs, was forced to start a busing program. The first day, 1,000 protestors rallied against the busing, and a few days into the process, 8,000 to 10,000 whites from Jefferson County, Kentucky, many teenagers, rallied at the district's high schools and fought with police trying to break up the crowds. Police cars were vandalized, 200 were arrested, and people were hurt in the melee, but despite further rallies being banned the next day by Louisville's mayor, demonstrators showed up to the schools the following day. Kentucky Governor Julian Carroll sent 1,800 members of the Kentucky National Guard and stationed them on every bus. On September 26, 1975, 400 protestors held a rally at Southern High School, which was broken up by police tear gas, followed by a rally of 8,000 the next day, who marched led by a woman in a wheelchair to prevent police reprisals while cameras were running. Despite the protests, Louisville's busing program continued.

This is the same city that the AI story is about.

So why, if he claims to not care about America and is actively trying to get Americans not to watch his content, does he keep making content about America?
I think his argument at one point was to show Europeans "how bad things can get" if they don't vote for politicians that want to ban cars or something. It might have been from a post on his subreddit when it was still a thing.

Trying to do that on a train isn't comfortable at all.
And car seats are usually far more comfortable than train seats, mainly because they're designed to be sat in for long stretches of time.
subsidizing retirees and vacationers is a bit more sus
I live on a branch line leading to a popular holiday town, if it weren't for the train (and the motorway bypass) we'd be clogged up by holidaymakers every summer.
They do realize that school buses are a form of public transportation?
Clearly if they had built a dedicated school train system this wouldn't have happened in the first place.

Note that the first thing the woman in the video says is "this is a miniature town where you can ride your bike, ride your scooter".
I never had one growing up, but for years there have been things called "safety towns", kid-sized towns with roads and other stuff to help kids learn about crossing streets and stuff.

Reddit would tell you stuff like "if streets weren't dangerous, they wouldn't need them" but there is no place on earth without potentially dangerous street and roads.

Reddit would tell you stuff like "if streets weren't dangerous, they wouldn't need them" but there is no place on earth without potentially dangerous street and roads.
Even in a car free paradise you would still need to watch out for bikes, because getting hit by one will still hurt.

Or, you know, dead.

This article is just the spandex guy whining that he was actually prosecuted, minimally. There's a 0.00% chance he would be prosecuted today in San Francisco.
Wow, bicycles are so dangerous. We need lower speed limits for bicycles and we need them to be traffic calmed. It's lucky this guy was prosecuted, but we need to take more actions against cyclists murdering pedestrians. Straight roads and wide lanes are bike-centric design that encourage cyclists to speed. Crossing the street is deadly, but it shouldn't be. I'm starting a vision zero program against bike traffic violence.

Jokes aside, this will be true when urbanists keep making bikes more like cars while insisting they're somehow still better than cars and haven't just reinvented them.

Not much to say on this one. I just want to remind everyone that this is what is telling you that you need to get rid of your car and change your cities. People that literally can't even follow a straight line. Jesus fucking Christ.

Lol I swear none of these people know what autism actually is. Autistic people, for the most part, aren't mentally retarded and are totally capable of learning new skills. It might take them a little longer than neurotypicals, but they're totally capable of doing it and most do with little to no issue.

Really sick of people pretending that autism is a shield that makes it so they never have to grow up or take responsibility for anything.

These fucking assholes! They actually believe that these rail lines won't affect people's livelihoods by cutting through farmland, and then try to claim that railways that can only be accessed from metros are remotely similar to an interstate that nearly any town can build roads to! The arrogance knows no bounds, and I honestly wish I could tie them to an HSR track at this point.

I'm so glad Captain Sweden took a break from masturbating to his daughter getting raped by sand niggers to chastise foreigners for not wanting the Superior Future right on their doorstep and cutting off their property access
What daughter? He says he's a "shut-in NEET, anime lover" and is single.
