Honestly, this is this guy's schtick, so long as it pays well he'll continue to do it. To give an idea, the big money maker for his channel was reviewing every episode of Batwoman. He's probably really happy about all the hate he's getting from MovieBob types over it since it means his channel is getting reach.

I wasn't really expecting anything else from Starfield though. Gender ambiguity seems to be the default now in games where you create your own character to the point where, "Why can body type A go topless but body type B cannot?" has become a meme now that they refuse to call them male and female. Can't get to the New Socialist Human without controlling every aspect of culture, after all, including videogames. Some games are paying minimum lip service to it to avoid Sauron's Eye, and some are all in on becoming a modern CIA ad:

Also, given that Starfield is a big budget modern game from a West Coast studio, you have to expect a certain amount of really obnoxious woke preaching in the game, just like all the Rainbow Flags in Spider-man. I remember when Nexus Mods banned a mod that replaced the rainbow flags in Spider-man with the aesthetically superior American flag. (I looked at some of the screenshots, and all those American flags really improved the games appearance.)

So, I advise against subscribing to Microsoft Game Pass, Sony's service, and buying West Coast Woke games if you want to enjoy your free time without a lot of globohomo preaching. If you don't mind it, though, go for it. (I'd still wait for Starfield to be a few years old and all the bugs to be worked out and some decent mods though, as well as a big price drop.)

You know, given everything going on with Starfield it's actually quite likely the push to latch onto this dude meltdown over pronouns is damage control by Bethesda and Microsoft over the fact the game is so boring and underwhelming.

It's the first real Bethesda title since Fallout 4 and it has actually gone back mechanically speaking. The world is boring. The graphics are garbage and while the art direction is somewhat nice on objects the NPCs are fucking ugly as sin. And the plot makes Fallout 4 look like Morrowind.

No surprises that Bob is falling for corpo damage control to play the "anyone who doesn't like the game is a bigot".
