To answer your question, I'm a moral nihilist so at best I simply don't care what another human does. Morality is subjective and I think it all depends on a person's values, me personally, I wouldn't want to interact with a person who openly identifies as a pedophile mainly due to legal repercussions, if said topic was legal, so be it, legality is a boogeyman spook. I don't view any action as evil/good as we're all just advanced monkeys who created the ideas of right and wrong with dogmatic pragmatism.

Even human bodies aren't fully developed til around mid-20s. Both male and female bodies don't finish developing completely til around that age. That's why pregnancy is the safest starting around mid-20s and gets riskier the younger you get from that point.

Children are children regardless of whether they've started puberty. If you want to fuck them, you're a pedophile and should jump into the nearest woodchipper.

It isn't as simple as that sadly. There have been cases of underage girls trying to seduce older men. It's a rare occurrence, but it does happen sometimes and that's one of many reasons why a hard age of consent at 18 will never work.

Of course, initiating the relationship with an underage girl by yourself is classic pedoforkery and should at the very least be treated in psych wards, if not incarcerated.

Minors who do that often have been sexually abused beforehand; and such behavior is mortifying to most adults with a good head on their shoulders.

You mean cases of children who were victims of grooming/CSA acting out sexually since that's sadly common? Which is something a grown adult should be able to recognize and deal with appropriately, not by abusing a child that's already been abused.

Female children are children. Even if they've hit puberty. Even if they act out sexually as a result of abuse. If you want to fuck them, you're a nonce. End of.

The worst thing is most adults do not recognize grooming. I mean just look at the whole troon situation. Where are the PSAs then? Oh, wait....

Age of consent is an insanely delicate situation, and my closing thoughts on all this is "I'm really not able to judge it". There are numerous factors going against setting it at 18 without some sort of allowance for teen-to-teen sex (i.e. Romeo and Juliet laws), and yet it is necessary to implement some serious measures to stop child rapists. In the end, I believe the legal definition of "a child" is what causes the most issues - some countries say you stop being a child at 14, others at 18, others still at 16 etc.

I don't know about you but I was most definitely a child at 14 and 16

Have you ever been hit on by a minor or had one try to come on to you?

It’s very mortifying, needless to say. Harrowing even, because it’ gives you a glimpse into their deepest traumas and is the first major red flag that something just isn’t right with them.

It’s not that hard to say no to them, but it’s a very creepy situation to be in because they’ll shortly after reveal their history of CSA to you.

Source: I used to be a social worker. I quit because I was burned out from constantly seeing the worst side of humanity on a daily basis alongside police. It really cements my hatred for pedophiles, because they’re all predators who get off on the power imbalance and damage they inflict onto their victims. There’s no treating that kind of sickness.

You're a Bongistani, aren't you? Britain has always had the highest AOC in Europe and also the highest age of not being a child anymore. Legally speaking, not personally (and yes I absolutely did feel immature at 14, 16).

Some European legal systems tackle this differently; Eastern Europe usually makes the cutoff for "child" at 14, and then after that you'd legally be an "adolescent" or "older minor" up to age 18 which means you get some of the adult rights and legal responsibilities, up to and including being able to consent.

Once again, this is all strictly speaking legally, not from a moral standpoint - that's where I'm clearly on the side of "look for something your age, weirdo" for pedos.

I'm in burgerland. Unfortunately, laws didn't stop grown-ass adults from sexually harassing me at like 10, same with most women. Catcalling is something most women first experience as children, some even experience it most frequently as children.

Pubescent female children are a bit of a cultural blind spot where pedo shit against them isn't treated as seriously as other demographics. It's not a new issue but it's still a problem even in fairly progressive areas. Adolescent girls are actually the most common victims of CSA iirc

Young girls flirt with men above their age bracket, and young men hit on their teachers, the responsibility of the adult in question is to say 'No'. If you can be 'seduced' by a child, then you go into the woodchipper. "That 12 year old was wearing a slutty skirt and making bedroom eyes!" is not a defence. It's an damming admittance of guilt.

There desperately needs to be a NATIONAL AoC, with a 4 year grace period, to put an end to this stupid situation where you can't bang your 17 year old GF from the day after you turn 18 (happened to me) and have to watch which state lines you go across so some overzealous cop or angry parent doesn't get you arrested for 'trafficking a minor'.

But unfortunately the line needs to be set somewhere. It's truly impossible to NOT have a minimum line for "thou shall not bang".
