he said before he gives 5 to movies he didn't watch all of, which makes it even worse if that is the case
How can someone not watch at least half of Prince of Egypt? The movie is at least viewed by anyone, especially ones who aren't religious
He actually did a watch-along for it on his watch-along channel 5 months ago. I believe he watched the movie for the podcast he has with IHateEverything and Ralphthemoviemaker.

I rewatched the movie today with that YMS commentary track and i had to mute him a few times. He basically went into the movie already hating it because it is a "Christian movie". People in his chat and youtube comments pointed out his bullshit as well. As you get further into the movie you are met with more religious themes, which means that Adam started spouting more and more negative shit. He also said he wasn't going to take the movie seriously (
25:28). He kept saying that the story was dumb. The guy he was watching it with was fucking annoying. He never really commented on the animation except for mentioning that "you can tell it is CGI sometimes" unlike the Lion King stampede scene (
26:41) and that Moses his love interest had well animated hair (
40:38). Nothing else about the beautiful visuals, the framing, the facial expressions, the cinematography in general, the background, the setting, nothing. Just only bashing it because
le edgy atheist kid. The entire time i was watching it i wished he was watching it with someone who appreciated the movie, because i feel like he would've felt differently about it. I then realized how fucking stupid that sounded. A film critic should put their personal biases aside methinks? I understand him not liking the story because if you look at it critically there are some issues with it, especially later into the movie. But again, they adapted a biblical story, and the story is just one part that makes a movie. Judging an entire movie based on its source material alone is just dishonest, especially when it comes to an animated movie.
He also said that only Christian people will like the movie and that it is
Christian propaganda which i found odd too. I grew up religious but always questioned everything regarding it and as soon as i hit my teens distanced myself from religion entirely. When i was a kid i loved this movie and i wasn't even aware it was religious. Even now as an adult i just viewed the movie as a retelling from a book. It's so funny to me that people like Adam will sperg constantly about religion and are disrespectful about it but the minute you use the wrong pronouns for someone like Oliviamancer you are instantly Hitler incarnate.
