With Dobson, every little bit of patience, goodwill and niceness is sucked up and vanishes into a black whole.
I mean, that was his girlfriend he was reacting to. Does he give her the benefit of the doubt? Does he stop his train of thought before it runs headlong into a brick wall of petulance and dickery? Does he reevaluate her words to see if what she meant was what he understood?

What chance does some random, good meaning person on dA have, trying to politely suggest Dobson might rethink the way he colors stuff? If his reaction is this adverse to a person he loves, what can you expect a stranger to achieve?
Niceness only feeds into his shitty behaviour, it seems. Rather then eventually softening up about his shitty attitude, allowing him to behave like that makes him double down on it.
I guess even when she dumped his sorry ass, at no point did he truly think that he might have done some mistakes.
It's hard to tell, but I assume they are more recent. But then again, do we know that's really Dobson? or that particular ex gf?
I mean, the women doesn't look much like what Dobby drew (which says nothing, really, seeing how off-modell he is even with basic designs), but the "Dobson" in that photo could be any balding, fat, blue shirted neckbeard, tbh.

I think like some other lolcows like Phil, Dobbo ultimately has a problem with anyone or anything that's not exactly like himself.
He hates that he was expected to celebrate Hanukkah not because it's Jewish, but because it's not what he wanted to celebrate. Similarly he hates Christianity because he doesn't want to practice it himself. He thinks everyone should celebrate winter holidays exactly as he feels they should be celebrated... with cartoon specials and the carols he likes and absolutely devoid of any actual meaning other than presents and food.

This is the remarkable thing about Dobson's art. Most cartoonists/writers that have blatant self insert characters go out of their way to make themselves look good. Cartoon Dobson however is just as petty, rude, and selfish as he is in real life.
