There were enough home castrations documented on places like BMEzine and the various eunuch sites that I could maybe believe the wine glass story. Remember that, much like the crazies who pack dry ice on their perfectly good legs in the name of transitioning to their true amputee selves, one only has to inflict enough damage that the ER doctor calls it hopeless and neatly cuts the rest off for you. But on the other hand, a lot of fujoshi fucking love gore porn, and "penis amputated by a broken wine glass" is just elegant and stupid enough that it could easily be from Hannibal fanfic.

This is horrifying. I've always wondered what happened to the boys, sometimes not even actual intersex/DSD in traditional sense, but due to some unfortunate circumstances or even circumcisions mishap end up as an adult.
Sophie is not a troon, and what Sophie ended up here is not of any of this Sophie's fault. However the whole thing made me lament our relationship with language and how it shapes how we think. Funnily because Sophie's facial structure seem male although this person has been on HRT for whole life and castrated young. Sophie isn't a typical 'intersex' case who can claim of being sexually ambiguous either, similar to Reimer too.
It's tragic in general, not just the surgery itself but rather the way human construct their identity. We identify with certain race, certain nationality, or even gender... we carry our beliefs to our graves because they give life meanings even if they hurt us, and even if we know they are not real. We internalise the construct of language. I know of many people who feel tortured by the identity imposed on them but can't move on, because to them, it's the only way they relate to the world. (Usually racial grievances stuff, but I digress)
So when it comes to the question if Sophie wants to return to being male. Sophie thought it meant going through surgeries to create rotdogs again, becoming a victim. - without realising it can be just a change of mindset. Sophie even acknowledge that Sophie isn't really a girl. Here is just a very traumatised person fucked up by the system, the person who is disillusioned with everything but at the same time, compelled to play along out of neccesity... still having to 'play a woman', because it's easier that way. This kind of mindset reminded me of regretting troons who don't detrans because they thought they've come too far- they genuinely cannot see a different way out - because to them detransitioning means they have to go through the whole surgical procedures again, to look normally of their birth sex, instead of just believing in your birthright.
It's funny to think about this, example, if you compare troons to men who lost their parts in wars or industrial accidents, they'll argue about being 100% male. The difference is more in social context and how they constructed their reality than body. Sophie, in fact, isn't too different from some castrati or eunuchs of olden days who sometimes were castrated at very young age.
I don't want to use 'she/her' pronouns, out of my philosophical views. But perhaps it's just the fault of our own language as a whole. - I feel like the way Sophie is addressed, has an element of sorrow, the situation as an inescapable shitshow, both in medical complications and the social construction that tortures us.
I know that I'm being a little MATI on my part.

I remember the days when you'd need confirmation from a Pdoc you were mentally sound enough for any cosmetic surgery if you had a psych record yet they're doing this to people with visible psych records carved into their arms. Madness.

I've seen more TIF's with tattoos than ones without them and 90% of time it's something that a girl would have. No grown man would have a tattoo of a mushroom or the word "Queer".

I haven't been active here in awhile, but I've still been following and archiving all the reddit troonacy on a daily basis. I have a request to make for everyone in this thread in regards to archiving reddit. When archiving reddit, can everyone please archive under the old.reddit domain as opposed to the www.reddit domain. See the autism below for why:
Why old.reddit you ask? First, user profile and subreddit front pages archived under www.reddit now redirect to the new reddit which doesn't archive right. And secondly I archive a ton of shit on my own under old.reddit that you guys end up archiving later under the www domain and vice versa.
It leads to messes like u/psychedelic666 here. I had already archived a ton of her posts in her user profile a couple months ago, which you guys subsequently archived months later under www.reddit. And I just came across her nullo surgery that you guys had already archived two weeks ago.
Again, why does it matter? Well, we all know how fickle reddit is. Users are always deleting, jannies are always removing. So later archives are almost always going to be inferior. Plus the user profile thing is important now to keep a record of a user's posts and comments now that we no longer have access to Pushshift's reddit archives.
Oh, and when archiving posts from the transgender_surgery sub, be sure to archive the pic (under the i.redd.it domain so it cross links with the archived post), or gallery and the preview image of the gallery after the gallery archives. Right click on the post title to get the image/gallery link and post it into the archiver. Likewise right click on the image area after the gallery finishes archiving to get the preview image and post it into the archiver. The surgery sub hides images by default and so does the corresponding archive. I.e., there's no embedded images in the post, so archive the pic or gallery so we have a record of something in case they ever delete.
I'll gladly take my autism stickers now, lol.

I know we’ve talked at length about the terrible closure techniques on these abominations but I wonder now whether they are also deliberately messing with the scars to make them look worse. ‘Top scars’ seem to be quite trendy, and pooners are insane self harmers. It wouldn’t surprise me one bit of they were picking at them or stretching them to cause separation and more visible scarring for attention
The first shot has what I presume is a binder in it, that’s she’s wearing and has unhooked. Surely that can’t be advised??

So that's how they get the big ugly scars, you can see the early pics she's been stitched quite closed, but in the later pics her wounds are splitting open.
I'm not sure if it's poor, lazy stitching by the tiddy butcher or she has deliberately done that so she gets grizzly scars.
Normally that would be an insane thought, but I look at the self harm scars, and remember this is a Pooner who paid to have her tits torn off by a fucking sociopath.
