Sam Hyde

what a weird thing to waste like 5/6th of a 2 hour PGL on, and to bore Nick out of his balls as he struggles to comprehend and also tries to pitch dad-tier ideas to try be part of the discussion
why the fuck have Jet there
there of course is a place for a Joyride design document breakdown, but do it on your own damn time
Just finished this. What a weird ep, 2 hours on game physics and story line on a game that's barely out of concept plus Neptune looking like a dyke being weird in the corner with his worthless two cents. Does anyone actually expect this game, Joyride, to ever be released ?

He's been talking about it for at least seven years now. Same title, same concept. He used to post concept art and mockups every once in a while but hasn't for a few years, until now apparently. He's given previews of the lore and story and his thoughts on realistic technical abilities and how that will determine the graphics and overall aesthetic. There was also a tech demo released for a different game that he was making just to test the waters of game development.

The last time he talked about it he basically said it's going to be really expensive and time consuming but it's his dream project and he wants to put in the time to do it right. It's going to be a big game. He said he expected it to take at least ten years and he started streaming to raise funds specifically for the development. Then the boxing match happened which lead to a new wave of popularity and relaunched his career to a much bigger audience so he's making a lot more money now.

Pretty sure he's been continuously working on it in some capacity for several years and maybe now he's looking to spend more time on it. It will be released. It might be horrible and take three decades but it will be released. It's obvious by the way he talks about it that it's his passion project. Keep in mind he first started talking about what would become Fishtank eight years ago.

He strikes me as nigger rich. He bought that Porsche (a company him and Nick made fun of countless times for the corny people who buy them) 911 GT3 for a bunch of money with the proceeds from his NFT thing. He recently bought another high dollar car, Venturi 400 Trophy for over 200k. That's close to half a million in cars in a year or so.
He bought the Venturi via Bring A Trailer. A website him and Nick lampooned repeatedly on PGL. Venturi BaT
Here's him admitting the winning bid was his, plus there's only like 15 of those cars and only one in Miami. He was in Miami picking it up or arranging shipping last week according to his Instagram

You would think 350k + would be a good investment for his "dream" ten year project. Stuff like this makes me think his whole personality is a bit and he lacks any real convictions. Don't forget his "financial advice " video or the one where him and Nick said don't spend any money on cars cause they suck. But hey I'm just some faggot on the internet.

Sam Hyde bought a Venturi 400 Troohy, looks like he won a Bring a Trailer Auction for $207,000, using the account "ice888"

Youtube short of Nick Rochefort talking about sams purchace:

Didn't they have a stream recently where they were going off on how commodity cars are actually an investment now? What a retarded take lmao

Venturi 400 is a poor man's F40, a car Sam creams himself over. I think they were more pissed that people treating cars like investments are driving the prices up too high.

Also about 2na shit being worthless and gay and an easy way for young guys to get roped into enormous debt with no value added. All the dago pr’s with turbo civics shit aside. No one is going to want your ls1 swap 240 and if you buy one done that way or drop a couple bands to do the swap on a perfectly fine 240 you’re a fucking idiot. There’s also nothing wrong with having a slow car so kids should stop rushing to buy motorcycles and “cool” cars the second they get they first heavy stack bc it’s a good way to fuck your financial situation up for life in your 20s. Being that into cars is just not a worthwhile hobby to obsess over unless you’ve got a lot of pape cuz the excuses for buying stupid shit are always going to eat at your brain. Best advice I took from Nick is that a lease is so much better

Ok jet/Chris/laker, reel it in ok ?

no joke, Scuffed Realtor with an audience
So they're definitely planning some type of tour. Sam has started practicing his stand up routine again with new material in front of a live audience and now Nick is doing this. If anyone remembers they had a whole tour lined up that got cancelled with World Peace.

Nick just confirmed that they're planning a tour.
