Someone emailed me this. It's apparently a lawsuit. The email claims that Vickers used a legal maneuver to steal a million dollars of precious metal inventory.

Edit: The original owner sold the store for $56k, but retained his inventory of PMs in the store. He alleged later Vickers and other managers stole hundreds of thousands of dollars from him. He chimped out and locked one in the store and held him at gunpoint. The false imprisonment arrest ruined him.

That False Imprisonment conviction wasn’t Hommel’s first brush with the law. From 2011

“A Grass Valley businessman is set to be arraigned on multiple charges after allegedly assaulting his wife and 11-month-old child.

Jason Hommel, 41, is facing three counts – spousal abuse, assault likely to cause great bodily injury, and child endangerment likely to cause great bodily harm – in connection with the Oct. 11 incident. Hommel allegedly choked his wife while she was holding the child, knocking her to the ground.

Hommel owns J.H. Mint, a Grass Valley company developing infrastructure to mint silver coins. He also writes a newsletter for 80,000 subscribers and runs a website, SilverStockReport.com

He is set to be arraigned on the charges at 9 a.m. Monday.”

I'm pretty retarded but from reading through the Hommel v. Comm'r memo it seems Vickers didn't do anything but maybe shit-talk, according to (((firstenberger))) and the owner went full retard and tried to "citizen's arrest" another manager working there. Not finished reading through everything but if anyone who is less retarded can summarize what faggot vickers did wrong I'd appreciate it. From what I can decipher it looks like this Hommel dude is a nut case who was trying to scam with shady accounting and vickers fell upwards because of that.

It says on paper that Hommel sold the shop to Vickers but had an oral agreement that Hommel would still receive all profits and they would be deducted as advertising costs. Essentially Hommel was still the owner and Vickers was an employee, but on paper Vickers was the owner. Pretty sure this is some sort of fraud since in reality it isn’t advertising being removed and Vickers would be lying on his taxes. When Hommel later sued, Vickers got out of it by saying they never had an oral agreement and Vickers was always the owner.
It’s possible that this dude is just crazy, but it’s equally as possible that Vickers made a deal with Hommel and then snaked on him. Knowing what a pompous slimeball Vickers is it’s not out of character for him to lie to benefit himself.

I think it's highly likely you're correct and both is true. This dude seems to be unstable and shady while vickers is a proven slime ball and faggot. My kiwicoin would be on vickers taking advantage of the situation.

Ralph should get Hommel on the Killstream for an interview about Vickers’ shady business dealings and tax evasion.
I am pretty sure this must be the controversy Ralph was trying to reference and is getting sued for attempting to reference in Vickers' SLAPP (by which I of course mean Stupid LOLsuit Against Public Participation), though I haven't watched the clip of Ralph in question.

See Paragraph 9.

Maybe Ralph was the one who emailed Null and asked for anonymity? That’d be pretty funny if true, but that’s overestimating his sleuthing skills.

If I understand that right:
Vickers was to own the store (written contract) but technically not the money or the merchandise (not mentioned at all in writing), and all profits should go to Hommel as "advertisement fees" while Vickers was still just an employee of Hommel and only owned the store on paper (oral contract). There were also two other crooked managers with sketchy contracts at that store.

>We are careful to note, at this point in our factfinding, that we also believe Mr. Hommel when he says that he did not consult with a lawyer, broker, or anyone else when he crafted this transaction.
Vickers then just took everything for himself and didn't pay much beyond the "purchase" price that was 5.5% of the value of the precious metals alone.
Hommel did the same thing with another guy right after, who was nice enough to only steal some money instead of taking everything like Vickers did, and let himself be fired.
Then Hommel heard that Vickers and company brag about owning the store, went to check, and found 300k USD or so stolen. A day later he performed a citizen arrest on one of the men he claims to have used to evade taxes.
>But this attempt at a citizen's arrest and reclaiming any missing inventory was not received well by local law-enforcement officials. The police arrested him for false imprisonment. A grand jury indicted him, and two years later he was found guilty.
>MV, GN, and JR unsurprisingly took the position that the written deal was the real deal and cross-complained against Mr. Hommel for defamation of character, unlawful business practices (false advertising and unfair competition), breach of contract, and trespass, among other things. These cases settled in April 2012, with all claims dropped and neither party receiving any money. At no point during 2010 did Mr. Hommel file his 2009 tax return.

Amazing.

I like the idea that some guy, some poor dope suffering from delusions and schizophrenia dragged the rat king into court and rambled on incoherently about handshakes and conspiracies until the judge finally had enough of his shit and threw the whole case out. Very California.....

Vickers got lucky in finding a mark that was more unhinged than he was. Against a citizen Vickers would have gone down in flames for unjust enrichment and conversion in court if Hothead Hommel hadn't decided to take a hostage.

I for one believe Vickers stole his coin shop. I mean just look at him. He talks like a fag too.
he never came across as the type of person to be able to build a successful business from the ground up, not surprised at all that he stole someone else’s business and shit all over it by associating it with baby mama drama

So from what I’m reading here Vickers and some business partner stole the shop and inventory from this guy trying to dodge taxes and the guy took them to court but then also went off the handle and took the other business partner hostage so his case fell apart.

Did Vickers start a podcast about this guy that drove him to violence? Can history repeat itself?

So vickers is the real life version of GoldFinger?

It would be fun to imagine it this way, but if it was supposed to be in Vickers’ name (meaning Vickers had all the liabilities) while all the profit went to someone else, then that was to set Vickers up as a fall guy.

I’m not a fan of Vickers, but if an opportunity to fuck someone who is trying to fuck you pops up…

Walking away and refusing to play would be the smart thing to do, and we know Vickers isn’t capable of THAT. This is the better of the remaining options
